We took The Rural Tour today and it was fantastic. Very interesting, the Old Town House and Winery were great and the Bbq lunch was amazing. Host Michael was both charming and knowledgable, driver Juan was skillful and Little Juan at the Farmhouse cooked the Meat Beautifully.
This was our fourth excursion with NoFrills and all have been great. Good value and no messing about.
Off to Marineworld next Tuesday so will review that one after.

The Palma Bus does offer reasonable value in that you get a quick, and I mean quick tour of the city. Stopping at the department store is worth it for the toilets, but spending 10 minutes or so registering for a 10% discount, a free beer, and what appeared to be a small plate of Heinz vegetable salad for two is time better spent touring the old part of the city. Lets face it who is going to go all the way to Palma just to visit the local equivalent of Debenhams. Having said which, it is worth taking this bus as the local bus is often full, and at least you get a guaranteed seat this way

Dear Traveller,

Thank you for your comments about our Palma Bus excursion. We hope that that you enjoyed the city and we hope that you enjoyed our guide’s commentary on the way there as well as during the city tour.

We are not sure what you mean by “quick” but we will clarify: the tour of the city takes us by coach through the centre of Palma, along the sea front and to San Carlos Castle which was built in 1600 as a defence and look-out point to protect the port of Palma from pirates. We stop there for about 15 minutes and clients can walk on the walls and enjoy views of the entire port of Palma. We then drive the entire length of Palma’s vast port passing the cruise area, the area of the private yachts and the fishermen’s boats. This tour takes approximately an hour including the stop at the castle.

The Corte Inglés department store is a central drop off point for us and leaves clients close to the commercial area and close to the old town, meaning that everyone can do whatever they wish with their free time. The department store offers 10% discount in the entire store (except the supermarket) as well as a free drink and tapa. This is a service offered by El Corte Inglés store and is completely optional.

We hope that you enjoyed your holiday in Majorca.

We did a couple of trips with No Frills. the first was the bus trip to Palma. The bus picked us up on time and we were greeted by our guide, Michael. He was very knowledgeable and looked after us really well. Palma is a stunning city and well worth a visit. The Cathedral is beautiful and walking around the narrow streets was a real delight.
Our second trio was a boat trip to Fermentor. Stunning views and a really nice relaxing day, just don't forget the sunblock.
Mallorca is a stunning island and if you do want to see more of it i would highly recommend booking through No Frills.

We went on the Rural Mallorca tour with Michael for 24 Euro.
It was well worth the money as we had a tour of Inca, a local market town, a trip to a Bodega/Wine Cellar, and a BBQ at a farm house with great views of the area.
The guide was really knowledgeable and friendly, and the food was fantastic at the farmhouse BBQ.
Highly recommended!

Brilliant, expensive but worth it. We had a wonderful day out with a superb guide, who was friendly, informative and helpful. The views from up the mountains were fabulous. We enjoyed the ambience of Soller and the trips in the boat and railway were most enjoyable. We decided to do our own thing for lunch in Soller. Make sure you check prices carefully before going into the waterside restaurants - we paid 50 euros for three tapas and two glasses of Sangria - a rip off as the tapas were mediocre at best.

Dear traveller

thank you for your review about the Island Tour excursion. We are happy to read you had a good time.

I half agree with you that it is a bit expensive. Yes, 59€ it a lot of money, but tour operators charge 74€.

Regarding the restaurant you went, if you remember the name let us know by email to toni@nofrills-excursions.com so we can mention this to our future guests, and we are sure that they will all love your valuable advice. The prices of the Restaurants in Puerto Soller are always expensive, and this has one of the reasons why we have done a deal with the Marisol restaurant in Puerto Soller that has a convenient location and a10€ deal including meal, drink, ice cream and service exclusive to our clients.

Thanks for the time of sharing the experience, and we are looking forward to seeing you.
