“The reviews say it all”

I was fooled by the good reviews but seriously it is a disgrace and I have slumbed it in my younger days, I have children now, and I don't wish this hotel on anyone. Doesn't matter how much you pay you expect things to be clean and this hotel was certainly not that. Dirty rooms, dirty bedding, dirty floors, and I mean minging. Loads of rats on the lake you could see in the evening, poo in the swimming pool. After returns to my room in the evening the floor and all the kitchen tops where over run with ants I had no phone to call reception had to use a family members room to phone, they couldn't do anything till next day cause cleaners cupboard was locked. The kids where not happy, i had to buy my own spray, still didn't keep them away. There was no wardrobe space or drawers had to hang things around the windows and doors. Food was ok but lots of queuing. Staff where run off there feet. Couldn't wit to go home. I know myself when I read reviews people moan over silly things and i would never normally waste my time in writing one but I can't believe this hotel can get away with it it needs knocking down . Believe the reviews it's what it says it is bad.

We travelled here as a family of four two adults and our two little girls age 10 and my youngest celebrated her 8th birthday whilst we were there, my parents also joined who are in their early 60's.
We travelled out on the 22nd August 2012 for a week on what we thought would probably be one of the busiest weeks of the year what with the school holidays and the Aug bank holiday, after reading the reviews for this hotel I think it would be safe we all we a little more than terrified, all the build up to our holiday had been suppressed and we nearly did cancel.
We are not snobs but we do normally go to a little more expensive places so here goes -

This was our experience
-Check in was fine no problems at all
-Rooms were clean, they were cleaned daily
-Didn't hear hardly any noise from other guests at night
-Our balcony over looked the resterant we never see 1 queue
-We heard a little of the entertainment at night as we were facing it but that wasn't a problem as it finished at 12 so we just sat on the balcony and enjoyed it
-Few mosquito's down at show garden but it was hot
-Swimming pools lovely so many to choose from
- Food was fine plenty of it, lots of choice for the children
-Poor bars and snack bars were great, drinks variety was fab and always burgers and chips and plenty of salad available

So just to sum up our experience we had a wonderful hot family holiday on a beautiful complex, enjoyed the boat ride over the lake to the beach, entertainment was good, we see no ants or rats the only thing this hotel needs is aircon as it did get hot at night, if it did we would go every year!!
We recently see the pool we used over looking the lake at the back of our hotel block featured in my parents paper ( I think it was the daily mirror) it was on the front page and article was top ten all inclusive family holidays and this was number 2!!!
So all you moaners it cant be that that bad can it?

If you have booked don't let the reviews spoil the built up to your holiday
Go and enjoy this lovely place in beautiful grounds with amazing beaches
But remember to hire a fan or 2 (yummy yummys over the road english bloke does a good price)

Ok, so I know this place gets mixed reviews but I have now been twice and would go again. Other than there is still no aircon in the hot rooms, I cannot fault it. Great value, family friendly budget all inclusive hotel. Its clean, the pools are big, clean and well maintained. Food is fresh and varied and all inclusive drinks are unlimited. It isn't 5 stars but doesn't claim5 stars! We went peak season and of course it is busy but we had no problems in the dining halls or at the bars. For the price we paid, I still think that its a great value family complex, Just rent some fans for the room.

If you're looking for cheap and cheerful for all the family then this is ideal if your not bothered too much about health and safety and cleanliness then go for it
The first time we went for our all inclusive meals was a shock to the system, I never realised so many breeds of flies existed on this earth but if you can beat the flies to the food then you're in for a excellent choice of chis, chips and more chips, but seriously they do have a good range of varying levels of cuisine either inclusive or paid for, for all tastes plus you get free wine with main afternoon meals if sour red or white liquids appeal to you.
not one day did we spend at the complex due to excited towels covering each chair, so we would take the 1km or so walk to the beach,(if the complex boat isn't running) well worth it,as it was clean and the sea was magnificent so clean and clear and you were able to walk at least 300m out to sea.
Every evening we'd return to Bell Vue for the evening meal and the great entertainment from the kids club and the adult entertainment was worth waiting for, then the on site night club was worth a visit. All in all if you're looking for a budget holiday, this is the one, just go with your eyes open and don't expect first class service but go for a fun time with all CLASSES of people

Room Tip: Always go for an apartment with your own facilities so you don't have to queue for the all inclu...

This hotel caters for 6,000 people in peak times,so the quality really does suffer. The first night we saw a man being beaten up badly, for a resort of this size you would expect security but No.The food really was bad and it was'nt a experience you looked forward to.The room was bigger than expected but came with a smelly odour of urine ,and what cleaners,we were handed clean towels once by a woman at our door saying she was to busy to clean .My advise would be save your money and get A HOLIDAY OUT THE NATIONAL NEWSPAPER INSTEAD .

We have stayed here twice....the complex is really big with plenty of activities for the kids. The pool area gets busy and sunbeds get take early mornings but they do on most holidays.

The hotel is in a nice location and you can take the boat that comes into the complex to the beach or take a nice walk there which is approx 10-15 mins walk passing plenty of shops and restaurants on the way.

We went self catering so did not eat at the hotel. We eat out at Champion Bar and Shine Bar....really good staff and food was good.

Hotel rooms were ok, no air con in the rooms though so can get pretty hot and stuffy. Lots of people have complained about moquitos but we had no issues with them when we were there but if you do the Chemist outside the complex sells an excellent spray that does the job.

Overall we had a lovely time here the kids enjoyed it more as plenty of pools and activities for them to do....there are lots of people that complain about rhis hotel but you do get what you pay for and this was one of the cheaper holidays for us

Mosquito infested shockingly bad place where your likely to meet half the people who have been on Jeremy Kyle and then some!

Kids leaving slush puppies everywhere and discarded food.

Don't think about getting a bed around the pool it's rammed

Stagnant water everywhere attracting Mosquitos which they don't spray/ do anything about.

Plastic cups only, food bare able, beds shockingly uncomfortable NO AIR CON OR FANS ! Ants in the kitchen.

Young people getting rat faced and peeing in the pool and throwing in sun loungers.

Worst place I can remember ever going to!

Entertainment awful and if you dare to watch you will get eaten alive by mosquitoes unless of course you surround yourself with the candies they sell everywhere around the hotel (says it all really!)
