Just returned from this hotel on a family holiday with hubby & 20month old daughter. I have to say i was very sad to leave this hotel as its got to be one of best i have stayed in for a while! In my oppinion this hotel should easily be a 4*, i was very surprised at it only being a 3* because the facilities, rooms & service for me make it alot higher rating.

We orginally booked a premium apartment through jet2.However when we were checking in they had noticed i emailed the hotel beforehand to ask how much it was for an upgrade to Royal terrace apartment, & asked if we were still interested in upgrading, we said yes but the room wasnt avaviable until the Sat as we arrived on thursday. They offered us royal room at a bargain price that we couldnt refuse!! All i can say is that it was definately worth the extra money....certainly would recommend if you have the extra cash!! :) Staff on reception are so helpful they cannot do enough for you. Housekeeping are also very pleasant always say hello when passing.

Both rooms were lovely of a very high standard of decoration, very modern & spotlessly clean!
we were very happy with both of the rooms we stayed in. Although we didnt feel like the holiday started properly for 1st 2 nights becuase we were living out of suitcases knowing we were moving... thats the only bit that was annoying. We paid 15 euros for the safe hire for a week & 4 euros a day for a cot. I did know about this charge before going to hotel, however i do feel they should probably give this foc when staying in the premium or royal rooms as another reviewer said its alot if you dont know about this before you go. The bathroom in both rooms was amazing....his & hers sinks & a walk in shower wet room :) i wanted to take the shower back in my suitcase, :( always wanted this kind of shower at home...
We stayed on a self catering basis so cannot comment on all inclusive, however we did eat breakfast in hotel once, which we found very expensive for what it was! 15 euros each for buffet. Theres plenty of bar & restaurants around the area to eat. We found one just round corner from hotel that was a little pricey but did lovely food. Theres a fridge & cooking facilities in the rooms so you can make food, but its not exactly enough to make a big meal as theres no oven only a hob. It was enough for us though as we sometimes ate sandwiches & breakfast there.
Pools were amazing huge pool for adults & lovely splash pool for kids complete with slides etc, my daughter wasnt that fond of the splash pool as water is freezing! she was much better in the baby pool in between the adult one & splash pool. You can get towels for the pool which are free & can we changed during week, we didnt do this though as we brought our own, but i think its a good idea. Could always get sunbeds around the pool even if we didnt go down until mid afternoon which is nice. They operate a strict policy on sunbeds so you dont get people reserving at 6am!!
Evening entertainment was pretty much standard for hotels, some of it i found a little cheesy! but my daughter loved to dance away on our balcony to the kids BUFO disco! by end of week we found ourselves singing the songs also LOL!! The illusion show was probably the best of shows all week i think :) we didnt venture down to bar in evenings as we had perfect view of stage from royal terrace, we just sat drinking wine in our room! this is also handy if you have a young child & you dont want them up too late. When we put our daughter to bed we had wine in jaccuzi!! BLISS :) this was the best part about the royal room! definately worth money as i said for extra private space on balcony with lovely rattan chairs & cushions & jaccuzi.
beach was lovely soft white sand & clear blue water. Only 5mins walk from hotel also which is handy. There are sunbeds & parasols which i think you can hire for day. There was also a guy going round selling fresh fruit, i had a really HUGE piece of water melon which was so refreshing :) when on beach i am always wary of the ' lucky lucky' men! however we only saw one of them the whole holiday & even that wasnt on beach, so i am not sure if theres are many around alcudia!
all in all it was an amazing holiday (our first family holiday abroad with our daughter) i really hope we can return to viva sunrise one day in future! well done viva such an enjoyable holiday :)

Sorry for such a long reveiw!

Room Tip: ROYAL TERRACE is a must if you want an extra bit of luxury!! well worth the money.....

Just returned from a week away with my partner. This was our 1st holiday away together and couldn't have wished for better memories! When we arrived at the hotel they offered to move us to another viva hotel with upgrade to 4* and b&b included but this hotel looked so nice we declined the offer. The hotel was wonderful-very clean, friendly and helpful staff in an unbeatable location. The hotel is literally 2 minutes walk to the resort centre and 5 minutes walk to the beach (it's quite a walk to the port but only €5 in a taxi) and although it's so close the hotel is nice and quiet. The facilities are fantastic with lovely big clean pools and lots for the kids to do. The entertainment that we saw at the hotel was good and was outside so plenty of room and a great atmosphere. We only ate once at the hotel as we went self catering so can't comment on the all inclusive food (though it looked nice) but the one meal we did have was lovely. The staff at reception couldn't have been more helpful and the housekeepers made a fantastic job of the rooms etc with everything spotless! We were going to get a pool view room (€10 extra per night) but we had a view over a canal instead and it was lovely with the sun on the balcony for most of the day-glad we didn't ask to move to a pool view now! We stayed in a studio room on the 1st floor which was very spacious and modern and the air com kept it lovely and cool! This hotel really deserves more than 3* in my opinion!

We stayed here as a couple on a half board basis. The hotel is clean and we'll maintained. The room was large with a living area and a separate bedroom and bathroom including a balcony with seating. The food was really good and had a different selection each night, including chefs grilling different meats / fish each night in front of you. The swimming pool was a good size and they had a separate children's pool which looked ideal for kids. We had no problems getting a sunbed around the pool and the hotel has towels you can use for your stay at no cost. We did use the safe in our room which is €15. The drinks are fairly reasonable comparing them to other restaurants in the area. The staff were very attentive and friendly, a highlight of the hotel. The beach is gorgeous and the sea is so clear, we rented sun beds for the day which cost €9 for two sunbeds and a parasol, which was worth it. You pick sunbeds and relax and at some point a member of staff collects your cash and gives you a ticket so you can leave go for lunch and return to another area/ sunbed and show your ticket if your asked again by a different staff member. The beach is about a 10 minute walk and it takes about 35-40 minutes to walk to the old town which is fairly flat and straightforward to find. A taxi to the old town is about €5 which is fairly reasonable. We also caught a bus from alcudia to Palma for the day. It cost €11.80 each for a return ticket. The bus stop is five minutes away from the hotel and reception provided us with a bus timetable and a map of the bus stop. The bus takes you into Palma bus station which gives you an idea of wher you start from when you are dropped off. Be mindful that you need to get to the bus station on your return a bit before the departure time, we got there 5 minutes before and got turned away as they said it was full so had to wait for the next 35 minutes later.
We throughly enjoyed our stay at the hotel and would recommend it to family and friends. This is a very family friendly hotel offering very good children entertainment throughout the day and night.

Didn’t get off to the greatest start, when I found out that they wanted to charge me 4 euros per night for a cot. I found this very strange considering they market themselves as a ‘family’ hotel. The management need to remove this charge (I have worked in the travel industry for 20 years and have never heard of it before), as it will be costing them business. However from there on everything was great.

We were advised on check-in that our room wouldn’t be ready for 10 minutes or so – no problem we were at the hotel quite early. Once we got into our room, we were pleasantly surprised. There was a small kitchen area where we were able to cook our daughter some food and make a cup of tea and we had a fridge!!! The bathroom was ok and there was plenty of space to put our suitcases away and out of sight. I didn’t bother with the safe, because there was a key to lock the door for the cupboard that the safe was in. The only small issue with the room was the pillows – giving us one normal sized pillow and one that is twice the size might look nice, but it’s a little uncomfortable to sleep on.

The staff around the hotel were by far the nicest I have ever encountered in a Spanish hotel. They were always friendly and even the maids said hello every time you walked past. The staff at breakfast were brilliant and very friendly, Jose Luis looked after us very well.

We stayed on a b+b basis. I have noticed a lot of people saying that All Inclusive was well worth it, but I don’t agree. There are so many restaurants and bars to eat and drink in locally, and there was only one bar within the hotel where you could get a drink. They did however have entertainment every evening.

The location of the hotel was good. There are restaurants within a 5 minute walk and the port is a nice 30 minute walk away.

The kids pool is brilliant, with the pirate ship and other things, and the playground was well kept.

The only area for improvement was with the cleaners. Our daughter dropped some yoghurt on the bed cover after a couple of days, and we had to spend the next week with the dried yoghurt still on the same bed cover.

Lots of non-Brits in the hotel also, but that was too bad.

I almost cried leaving this hotel! It was the best experience of my life! Pool was amazing, so relaxing! My room was perfect with loads of room and a big balcony where my friends and I could chill out. The view was also beautiful from my room of the mountains!

We ate lunch everyday from the restaurant at the hotel and it was delicious food! So tasty!

The staff made their best efforts with us and spoke English as best they could! So helpful and friendly!

I could not recommend this hotel enough, just a walk away from everything you need with amazing restaurants surrounding it.

LOVE IT!
