Once again we were back at Botel Alcudiamar (myself, my fiancee and our 3 year old daughter). The hotel itself is very nice, but the rooms are so so- then again, what can you really expect from a 4 star in Alcudia. Right next to the ocean the location itself is worth staying at botel Alcudiamar.

The breakfast is great, with a lot of healthy options- not just the greasy stuff you'll get most places. We actually tried the dinner buffet once as well, but I can't say I enjoyed it much- but then again, I am not a buffet person to start with.

The staff at Botel Alcudiamar is just amazing, and very proffesional. They were polite and helped us if we needed anything.

The people staying at the hotel are mainly german, dutch and some scandinavian- actually no brits(!). And I would guess this time around about 40 percent travelled with children.

The area itself is wonderful, full of intresting restaurants and nice, calm people. It's nothing like up in the "city", with loud brits and "all you can eat fish and chips".

All in all, would really recommend this hotel, both to those with children and those without.

Room Tip: Ask for a good view to the sea (not the harbour)

My partner and I have stayed twice in this hotel and it still lived up to our memories the second time around. The location is fabulous being located at the end of a peninsular and it has the benefit of being the only hotel in this area being only a stone's throw from some fabulous restaurants. On side of the peninsular is the marina and the other side the fabulous Puerto Alcudia bay with its crystal clear water.

The pool area is a real treat and when we travelled in May there were always plenty of sunbeds with the infinity pool a sight to behold. All areas in and out of the hotel are spotlessly clean, including the rooms. We only had breakfast during our stay and the food and variety were impressive and certainly set us up for the day. I would have no hesitation in recommending this hotel and in fact we shall be returning next year.

Room Tip: the garden rooms are slightly morre private and quieter

Just returned this afternoon from a week away at the Botel Alcudiamar Hotel. It was mine and my boyfriend's first holiday together and we were delighted with our stay.
The hotel itself, the rooms and the grounds are lovely and immaculately maintained. The infinity pool was beautiful and a really good size, during our stay there was never more than 10 people in at a time so there was no problem with it getting crowded. It was really relaxing as there wasn't much noise during the day, something we were hoping for. There was aqua gym on one of the days, and although the music was played it was quite enjoyable.
The hotel had its own bit of the beach just outside the front with its own sun beds, but we preferred to walk 2 minutes around to the main bit of the beach; it was a little busier but what else do you expect from a beach resort?! The other side of the hotel was the marina, which we could see from our room, it was nice to walk along and look at all the boats.
The rooms were very clean and on arrival we were upgraded (for an unknown reason) to a larger room. I wouldn't have paid the extra money for it, since we would have been happy in a standard room, but we were grateful for it. The only downside to the room was that it was two beds pushed together instead of a double bed - but we knew about this before our arrival and I don't think it is worth too much fuss over.
The staff were very friendly and helpful. They would always say "hola" with a smile if we walked past any of them and I'm sure if we had any issues (which we didn't) then they would have helped as much as they could.
The food was great and varied each night, we especially liked that we had the choice to sit indoors or out on the terrace. We also had a "special buffet" on our last night which meant that the whole buffet was moved outside - a lovely way to end our holiday! We stayed on a Half Board basis and ate in the restaurant every breakfast/dinner - we didn't feel there was any need to go elsewhere as there was always plenty of choice. Even for the fussiest of eaters there was always the basic chips and pasta available.
We went out of the hotel every night for a walk after our dinner, there is always plenty to do out and around the hotel and a few of the bars we went to were lovely, our favourite finds were a small cafe/bar called Oceano on Carrer del Mariners and a lovely little spanish place on the next street along Carrer del Pins which was actually owned by an english family (we don't normally like going to english bars but this one definitely didn't feel like it!). So we would recommend them for a nice drink in the evening. Think they also do food but we can't comment on this.

Overall we have had a lovely week away and wanted to express our gratitude and enlighten others on how beautiful this hotel is.

This hotel is situated in the edge of the marina complex with great bars and restaurants within 500 metres. Views from the fabulous pool looking over the bay are superb. Breakfast buffet covers everythng you need to start the day. Location for exploring the region by foot, boat or bike is first class and still impressed after our second visit. Good value for money in a very nice location - just check the parking prices carefully!

Room Tip: Quietest rooms are away from reception/main entrance

Excellent location. Beautiful gardens with infinity pool. Whole place spotlessly clean and well kept. Staff mostly very good, apart from desk clerk who took a very long and mobile phone call while we were attempting to check in. Then took two further enquiry calls. He failed to notice we were there in person!

Bedroom a bit dingy. Could do with updating. Excellent breakfast buffet although had to pay for fresh orange juice. Bit of a cheek as sparkiling wine was free - and drunk in large amounts by some guests. Had dinner once; just about all right but nothing like as good as the restaurants in town.

Evening entertainment in the bar ear splittinglingly loud. SHOULD BE TURNED DOWN FOR THE HEALTH AND SAFETY OF THE BAR STAFF. Quite impossible to enjoy an evening drink for the din.

Had to pay parking charge for hire car - hotel clerk "forgot" to mention this when car booked

Room Tip: Make sure you have a sea/garden view. Some dround floor rooms only overlook the car park
