A nice quiet adult only hotel. Good food, very clean. I found the pools too cold to enjoy.
I would say 3 star, as you had to pay for the safety deposit box, €38, had to pay to hire a kettle €17 includes €10 deposit (supply your own tea, coffee and milk - supermarket over the road) we found the cups got removed every morning,, which was annoying, had to pay tourist tax €30 never done this before, but never stayed in Majorca before Take your own beach towels, as these are not supplied. Entertainment poor to average. Still had a nice week though, but won’t be returning.

Room tip: Rooms 116 and 117 are above the delivery bay would suggest floor 3 at the front of the Hotel

We returned Monday evening after 1 week stay. We stayed on the fourth floor with a sea view, which was stunning. Could not fault the room the cleaning staff do an amazing job our room was kept spotless our entire stay and the shower the best shower I've ever had at an hotel.

The beach is out of this world beautiful and little fish swim up to you when you paddle in the sea.

I wasn't keen on the food but this is same for me whenever abroad. I'm very fussy eater. Having said that I didnt go hungry, plenty of choice.

Yes the one lift was out of order but we walked or waited until lift arrived, hardly a hardship. The hotel are waiting for a part to arrive to repair lift, some people just love a good moan about anything.

The daytime entertainment although we never partook we watched and was great fun. To the previous guest who said the young lad would be better off working in supermarket this was harsh and uncalled for. He was friendly and many guests enjoyed his games.

Night time entertainment wasn't very good in our opinion. We found a bar down the road 'The Posh Paddy, brilliant night out. Live music 3 nights a week, we saw him when we went one evening and he was amazing!

We went on two trips first included the caves of drach second included train ride through Soller mountain. Both very good and interesting.

I believe you can ask for a sandwich behind the bar but we didn't feel the need 3 meals a day of as much as you want to eat was sufficient.

The staff were brilliant all friendly and helpful. The tax is payable because you are staying on balearic islands not the hotels fault this has to be charged.

We found listening to some of the guests moaning about the lift and other small things annoying. There is just no pleasing some people.

Thank you Platja D'or for all your hard work and making our holiday an enjoyable one. We would return again, our first trip to Majorca and it's a beautiful island.

Have just returned from our second stay at this hotel.
If you want a cheap 4 night break, this is right at the top.
The hotel is clean. The rooms are a good size.
The food is excellent and was even better than last year.
The entertainment is even not that bad.
There is a nice pool .
The beech is fantastic,a long stretch of golden sand.
The only issues we have had is
The beds on the beech are 13€ for 2 each, and as there is no beech bar,the hotel wont let you fill up bottles with water,so you either have to go back and forwards from the hotel bar every time you want another drink or buy on from a supermarket, even though we were all inclusive.
Other than this for under £1000 for the 2 adults. This is great value

My partner and I stayed here in Aug 19 for 7 nights booked through TUI. The transfer time was just over an hour after the 5 stops prior to ours.

Arrival: So we booked through TUI as mentioned where this hotel was down as 4 ‘T’ rating whatever that means but on arrival we were met with a plaque that stated the hotel was only 3 stars, good start. The lady on reception was ignorant and rude. No explanation of meal times, bar times, beach access, anything really. I also wasn’t aware of this extortionate ‘tourist tax’ that the local government charges (€20 per week) and there was no explanation of this from her just a sheet of paper and a card machine! Really felt like we were rushed in - we then found our room of our own accord.

Room: let’s be honest, nobody comes on holiday to spend much time in their room but there is a standard expected and this fell short. The rooms were small with no space for luggage and a bed that the mattress slid around on which caused me too fall out of it one morning when I rolled over (much to my partner’s amusement). The bathroom was okay with a large mirror and a hairdryer provided, would have been nice to see a stand-alone shower instead of a shower over bath though, that’s a slip hazard waiting to happen. The balcony was enough with 2 chairs and a clothes airer. The room didn’t have any tea/coffee making facilities nor anything in the minibar, disappointing. The maids however were all over it, towels changed every day and rooms were always clean.

Restaurant: food was lovely for us, no complaints. Always a vast selection at any meal time and show cooking during lunch and dinner. The waiting staff were pleasant and helpful.

Bar: pretty much bog standard all inclusive here, weak drinks and limited to 2 per person. No bar snacks during the daytime however they did make you a sandwich if you asked - very poorly advertised. The watered down beer of choice was Amstel which was something I guess. Cocktails were super sweet so we found ourselves drinking soft drinks more than anything else. There was always enough bar staff to cover the queues and they were always polite and humorous. Stingey with straws due to plastic pollution but dispensed drinks for the beach in disposable plastic cups - strange. It must be said it’s a plus that they let you take drinks to to beach.

Beach: your room card gives you access to a gate exclusive to hotel guests which takes you pretty much from the hotel door to the beach, nice! Sun beds on the beach are hired out by the local council who charge €6 per day which includes a safe, we never bothered and just laid down towels instead. The beach is gorgeous and stretches the entire length of the bay, the beach will take you all the way to Alcúdia old town if you don’t mind the 45 minute walk.

Pool: the pool area opened at 0800 hrs and there was always a race for sun beds, typical brits we are. There are beds which get the sun in the morning and in the shade in the afternoon and there are beds which gets the sun in the afternoon. There aren’t many around the pool though so if you want a good one you’d better move fast! There is a weird shaped main pool that you can dive into at the deep end and 2 shallow pools that are ideal for sitting in to cool off. There is a ping-pong table which is free to use and a pool table which costs €1 per game. There are outside toilets down some steps.

Daytime entertainment: it really looked like they couldn’t be bothered and this really bothered me. They animation team would do a very quick whip round of the closest beds and then crack on and get the games over with as quick as possible, hurrying people up if they were slow. The range of activities on offer was very limited: ping-pong, giant jenga and bowling was pretty much all there was.

Evening entertainment: the hotel provided a quality external act every other night and they were brilliant! The entertainment team on the other hand put on a half-assed effort and poorly written quizzes in the gaps. We steered clear of those evenings. This is an area the management need to seriously address. The young lad doing the ‘entertaining’ would be better suited to a supermarket job.

Misc points: there were no wristbands issued to guests so anybody can just stroll in, the average age at the hotel was probably 55+ so be mindful of that the atmosphere could be quite dull, premier league football matches were shown in the main seating area - nice touch. The hotel feels old and in need of modernising. The ambience was rubbish - music was quiet and old.

Would I return? If I had to but I’ll definitely be looking for somewhere else.
