“Jewel in Alcudia's Crown !!”
Reviewed October 15, 2013

This was the third time hubby and I had stayed at the Condesa. We absolutely love it. Firstly the location- right on the beach which is fabulous, wonderful soft sand and clear , shallow waters that is ideal for children. Shops and bars are just a short walk away.Food is always good with a large array of something for everyone at breakfast, lunch and dinner, A la carte is available too with waiter service and is also excellent. As we had stayed here before I emailed ahead and asked for a certain room which we got ( room 258 overlooking the stage which is nice if you want to retire to room but still fancy watching the entertainment) A big thankyou to the staff who sorted this for us! A bottle of bubbly was brought to our room too as a thankyou for return visit , a very nice touch and much appreciated !Rooms are comfortable and clean. Maids are in daily and in no time at all everything is cleaned and replenished very professionally. The entertainment team do a sterling job, both throughout the day and evening, and work very hard to make it enjoyable for children and adults alike. All the staff are lovely and it was nice to see some familiar faces. All in all I cannot fault this hotel . We are already making plans to return next year with our grandchildren.

Room Tip: Reserve a room with a sea view if possible.

Unless you can get this holiday on a bargain I feel it;s simply overpriced. You're really paying for the location which is beautiful. The is ample food selection albeit slightly repetitive. Generally a clean place and if you have kids it's heaven. The animation team do appear to work hard, but found tend at the end of the day it's really for kids !

ok this was our 3rd time at this hotel, one because my husband and myself went last October and loved it so much we decided 2 book it again for this October :-) then we decided that we wanted 2 take our 2 grown up boys with us in July so booked and went then as well lol ..well I must say we did have a nice time in July but just come back from there now this October and i would recommend going this time of year.....Hotel lovely but like other people have said u do really need a sea view...don't know how I would of coped with a room around the back :-( I my self sent them an email asking for a room and fair play they did give us what we asked for :-) they even give us a bottle of sparkly wine for returning to hotel :-) we had room 264 lovely because if u don't want 2 go out you can go relax on the balcony watching the entertainment mind not that there is a lot 2 watch but hey its all good fun and they work hard...for us all the staff were lovely they work so hard bless them.. and I mean everyone ..even the cleaners were amazing we went for breakfast and a walk and came back and everything was done clean towels every day room lovely and clean :-).like I said we prefer October we don't mind about the weather because it can be hit and miss in October... I know people go for the weather but that's personal preference.....we even thought the food was much nicer this time ,we had a choice of loads of different meats ,beef, pork ,gammon ,we even had gravy this time I know most wont care but I love gravy...lol ....in July it was lovely but we don't think it was as nice as October....... the beach is lush and you cant go wrong because u are one walk away from it :-) the bar staff are amazing :-) I know people moan about the rooms and I do understand when u have children but come on you are not in them very long are you.. only negative is Thomson... cant comment on reps personally but u don't see anyone at airport wen u arrive anymore or when you leave...if for instance it was your first time abroad you would be very scared because the only time they contact you is about the meeting on your first day very poor :-( they used 2 be so hands on but now its as if they don't care :-(.... I know everyone is different but I don't think you can go wrong with this hotel yes it might need a little up grade with some things but hey a holiday is what u make it and they really do try :-) I could go on...hope it have helped in some way-) x

Room Tip: email hotel and ask 2 see if you can get a room facing the stage ....we had room 264..

You get what you pay for is wry true as this hotel price cones an average £500 less than other 4*. All Inc in the area. It is an old hotel that has had a refurb in the lobby which looks great but the rest of the hotel Is a big disappointment. For the amount of people that it can provide rooms for the fcilitys are way too small which translates to a feeling of sardines in a can. The rooms are the smallest I I've ever stayed in. Yes you only sleep & wash in them but it's nice to have a bit if space & with children the rooms are way too small. The maids never cleaned the balcony or swept around the sink in the 10 days we stayed. The shower was covered in mildue and coroaded. The toilet seat was broken, and the beds are very ht and awfull plastic furniture on the balcony. The only reson that we didn't request another room was that we had the best view of the whole bay. A lot of rooms have just awful views.
The pool is lovley but very crowded. The sunbeds hbe no room inveteeen them resulting in you been literally right next to others. Food is ok but be carfull as the pork & chicken on many occasions was under cooked and raw in places. Very dangerous.
I would rate it a high 3* not a 4*. It's all too cramped and with no little luxeries that make it a4*.
all 4* iv stayed have a porter for luggage this does not. They have quality furniture on balconies, this does not
They have comfy relaxing rooms thus does not
They have branded alcohol thus does not
Just awfull
I wish we had paid more & stayed at another 4* as ther is some gorgeous hotels closer to the port. We had room 298 without a doubt the best room in the hotel due to the stunning view and quiet due to Being at the end of the hotel no one walking past room.

Just spent a week here and all inclusive deal was excellent. Right on the beach this place delivers.
Bar service friendly and efficient, entertainment above average, food good specially in waiter service a la carte restaurant and accommodation quite good if a bit smaller than others where we have stayed. All staff work really hard and very smiley. Only thing not up to standard was coffee which is from a machine and pretty disgusting. Would be happy to stay again and recommend to friends.

Room Tip: Good sea view rooms look onto entertainment area and quiter ones face inland.

Just back from a week here in a Royal Room which was amazing. Had our own Jacuzzi on a private roof terrace with sunbeds, shower, table & chairs and fabulous sea views.
The food was the best we've had in an all inc hotel, I can't understand why people are saying it's repetitive or basic. We never had the same evening meal twice and what we did have was lovely...roast duck, salmon, sword fish, ribs and loads more with different lovely salads every day. In the daytime by the pool you can have slushies, cornettos and the burger bar food is made to order so nice and fresh. There's also an a la carte restaurant in the evening with waiter service and a singer if the buffet restaurant isn't your cup of tea. The first time we went they mixed everyone's orders up a bit with the language barrier but it was funny in the end and was great the next time we went.
Towards the end of the week there were queues at the bar at night but if you sat down outside by the entertainment they'd serve you at your table.
The entertainment was the biggest disappointment. I know it's usually a bit cheesy on holiday but this was dire and unbearable. The best cheer they got that week was when there was a power cut and all the lights went off!
I was told the hotel used to have pool towels to hire but they don't now so we bought 2 cheap beach towels, make sure you take your own if you can.
The bus to the marina stops really near to the hotel and is cheap. If you get the chance to go in the evening the views are beautiful and there are lots of lovely little bars and restaurants.

Room Tip: Royal Room with roof terrace was great but a bit of a trek from the lift if you're not great at...

don't listen to the bad reviews ,because they are wrong ,me and my husband just returned on the 3rd of october after staying here a 11 days,we did ask to change rooms after first day as we were looking over a roof which they change our room the next day which had a better view ,the entertainment team did their very best to keep everyone entertained, they are on the go from when they start in morning until they finish at night ,which was the same for the waiters like caty and miguel.Didnt use the pool as spent all our time on the beach but we did see spare sunbeds by the pool.the food was ok for me but my husband has to be on a gluten free diet after explaining the first night to gustaov spoke to the chef ,and the rest of the holiday at meal times the waiter called SAID was brillant when we went into resturant spoke to the chef manolo whom cooked a meal each night for husband and SAID brought out to him so would like to pass on our thanks to them, made holiday a bit less stressful for husband . our room was cleaned every morning by maids ,would we go back YES WE WOULD love to all and hopefully see you soon xxx

Room Tip: make sure you ask one with a view when booking
