On our special occasions we try to choose a boat trip. We travelled to Mondrago Park from Cala Esmeralda this time. It was enjoyable as we visited all the nice beaches on our way and it was a smooth journey (I am a sea-sick passenger, so - no worries at all). In Mondrago there was a possibility to dive from the boat which was perfect.

We got on a glass bottom boat in Cala Grand and sailed to the fishing village of Cala Figuera, where we were met by a friendly labrador. The little village itself was beatifully situated by the sea. And there was a good view of the sea.
The boat stopped on the way back so that passengers could have a swim. And when it stopped one could see many fish through the glass bottom. My son was very intrigued by them. Swimming from the boat was lovely.
The crew where super sweet and very helpfull.

We took the trip from Cala Egos to Puerto Colom, 5 mins there, then 2 hours in Colom to look around the market and have a bite to eat, then 45 mins back. lovely coastline, calm, clear sea, reasonable price. Just enough for the kids. The glass bottom however was a bit dissapionting, it just looked like the soin cycle of a washing machine. However this did not spoit the trip in any way. Lovely clean boat which served refreshments, and helpful little spanish men to help you on and off. Graet day out... must try it!!!

This was our second time on this boat, in 2011 we did the trip where you get off and visit a little fishing village, really beautiful.
This time we did the basic 2 hour coves and coast trip because we had our 2 year old Grandson with us.
Just right for a 2 year olds attention span, enough time to explore the "big" boat and see the fishes before he started to get bored.
I reccomend you do at least one of the starfish trips if you visit, the coastline is stunning and its a lovely relaxing way to spend a day or even just a couple of hours, in the sunshine.

No real choice of providers for boat trips, we had a nice time but would have preferred a smaller more friendly service.
