I booked this for a weekend away from the bustle of Palma on a longer trip and had considered many other hotels on the island but plumped for this option as I had previously visited the area and knew where it was positioned. I had emailed the hotel in advance to request a room in the main building based on comments from other travellers. On arrival, I was warmly welcomed by the hotel manager who chatted away for some time. I found out that I had actually arrived on the first day of their season - it didn't show as everything was perfect. The manager also advised that I had been allocated a room on the top floor of the new block and that this was more luxurious. I don't know if this was true or not but I was shown to my room by a member of staff and the room was beautiful. Very luxuriously appointed and large. I was impressed and happy to stay in the new block. The manager had said that I could move if I was not happy with the room.

I had booked using a third party website and the cost of my stay on a bed and breakfast basis was very competitive - around half of the cost of booking direct with the hotel. The breakfast choice was good - both buffet and cook to order. Lovely views from the restaurant area out to sea. It is worth noting that the hotel is right on the water but there is no beach as it is a rocky outcrop. The restaurant serves lunch and dinner and has a fairly extensive (on the upper end of the price scale) menu.

There are a series of buildings spread throughout the extensive gardens and also a small swimming pool. It is a very relaxing spot - remember you are in the middle of an expensive residential area. Although the hotel was quiet over this opening weekend, I don't think it would feel crowded during busier times. The only issue could be car parking which is quite limited directly on site. There is plenty space on the road outside though.

I'd definitely recommend this hotel for a quiet luxurious break and I am considering booking it again for later this year.

Ideally located in a residential neighborhood with direct access to rocky beach. Excellent kitchen serves an exquisite breakfast buffet and for lunch and/or dinner delicious dishes on a romantic terrace with great views. Friendly and attentive staff. We will certainly come back.

This understated hidden gem is a hotel with many sides.Perched on a cliff edge there is the original main house/building which is commanding yet welcoming. There are two big new buildings which house modern contempory bedrooms and a variety of suites and villas within the grounds. Its all well run - which is why the Germans love it. But the best bit is the restaurant. The position is first class ........ at a lower terrace to the main building this beautiful area is bathed in dappled light and shaded by sail cloths. It sets the scene in a charming manner. And then its all about the food. This is the second time we have stayed here and their salads are like no other. I don't like salads but these are special. They're pretty good at mains too, I had the best pasta dish I've had in a long time. All in all this is a great destination.

Room Tip: Room 100 is lovely - on its own right at the top of the main building with fantastic views.

My daughter and I just spent a lovely three days at this hotel and really enjoyed our visit. Our garden room was lovely, the pool and gardens were always quiet , the restaurant by the pool was cool and ideal for lunch , breakfast and dinner overlooking the sea was wonderful. ( make sure you book for dinner early to get seats overlooking the sea) . We will come again .

From the moment arriving to the hotel we just loved it. The building itself, the setting by the ocean with the surrounding cliffs and the restaurant... It was a real bliss. Ok - the rooms where great but the beds could have been better. And the receptionists could have been a bit more attentive. But those things did not matter as the first impressions did the whole stay. Do book in advance - fully booked during high seeson.

Room Tip: Even though the beds are better in the newly built section I would opt for the rooms facing the sea...

The hotel is fabulous, just tucked away from the min area, but not too far to get to the port, The room is lovely, with English TV channels, Internet connection great, food is fabulous and the staff are lovely. The pool and the view over the coast at dinner is beautiful. Wish we were here a few nights longer.

A gorgeous hotel in a peaceful exclusive residential area not far from Puerto Portals (5 min taxi 6 euro each way). The hotel was deceptively big and met our requests of a typical Mallorcan styled room in the main mansion house, the room was small but adequate with a huge balcony. Breakfast was included and we dined in the hotel one night and the food was really good. The walk from the sunloungers on the beach area down to the water (and in the water itself) is very rocky and hurts your feet so be sure to take some waterproof shoes with you which you can wear whilst swimming! This area isn't suitable for toddlers. However, there is a beautiful peaceful pool area. Parking can be a bit of a pain as non residents come to eat in the very popular restaurant and the beach is public too so we had to park in one of the nearby roads a few times which wasn't a major issue.

Room Tip: In the old mansion house or a villa around the poolside.
