Just returned after a week here with my husband. Nice hotel. Rooms very nice, all appear to have sea view. Big flat screenTV, which picked up BBC and ITV as well as Sky. If you like a cuppa in a morning then take your own travel kettle, there is a fridge in the room which you can use for milk etc. The breakfast in a morning is excellent with fully cooked breakfasts, lots of different breads, cold meats, cereals etc. The weather was really nice and there were always plenty of sunbeds to be had by the pool.
Ladies, if you have long hair I would recommend taking your own hairdryer, there is a hairdryer in the bathroom but this gets really hot to hold if you need to use it for a long time.
The marina at Portal Nous is about a 10 minute walk away, have a walk down just to see how the other half live. Drinks and meals are very expensive down there. We are in our fifties and found it a long walk back as it is all uphill.
Buses are very cheap. We got the bus to Palma Nova and Santa Ponsa. For Santa Ponsa the bus went through Magaluf which looked just awful.
Lots of stag and hen parties appear to use this hotel, but we did not have a problem with any noise etc. A party of middle aged men from Dublin appeared during our stay, they were great, singing Irish songs and they were really good.
Would this be on my list of hotels to return to, unfortunately not as the area its situated in was just too quiet for us.
The resort of Portal Nous is quite small really with two or three bars and only about half a dozen restaurants, a supermarket, tobacconist and one or two gift shops.
