“All-inclusive value for money”
Reviewed July 12, 2014

Recently back from a week at Ola Bermudas. Stayed in a renovated room. Do note, that there's noise in poolside rooms doing the day, and quite a lot of noise from a "Disco bar" (Banana Joe's) in rooms facing the street. Hotel guests, however, are quiet (mostly French and Danish, primarily families)

However, the hotel is located just 100 meters from the very nice sandy beach at Palmanova, and bus stop is outside the gates, while taxi stand is around the corner. So overall location is excellent.

Food is ok. Breakfast was repetitive and disappointing, but lunch and dinner was fine. Overall, it was good value for money.

Room Tip: Poolside rooms probably best, as they're less likely to be noisy at night.

Hotel was close to beach and shops.Food wasn't the greatest could do with an irish chef... really needs looked at. Very clean hotel and rooms could be cleaned every day except Thursday. Entertainment was solely for children and bar closed at 11. When you have children with you your only getting into the swing of things. Music around pool during the day needs updated to suit all ages. Especially as we had teenagers with us.cost of wi-fi was scandal as as most hotels offer this free. Hotel staff were very nice and friendly. Overall a great family holiday. Would I go back? Perhaps if there were some changes.

Just returned from week with my teenage son and his girlfriend with us. For information wifi, 24 euros/week, safe 15/week, hair dryer 10/week... All of which is can be expected.

We had room 117 facing the road, the bars opposite are noisy until about 4am, and noise increasing on Friday / Saturday nights. Rooms are clean but basic little dated, looks as though other rooms are going through refurbishment programme.

Staff are welcoming and hard working, as with other reviews the entertainment staff work hard and are very pleasant but the entertainment itself is average.

Food is good, but variety is limiting with 3/4 choices per night, drinks ok bit disappointing that all drinks outside dining room are served in plastics glasses regardless if you are inside.

Pool area although small is clean and well maintained, rules are enforced no inflatables, balls etc allowed in pool, sunbeds do get taken very quickly in morning. Some nice beaches close by two sunbeds and parasol 13 euros, would recommend.

Probably the most disappointing part is the noise from guests, noise travels and again at weekends the noise goes on until early hours of the morning, hotel does allow single groups and can have unsocial behaviour, on last night some fighting broke out in the early hours on discussing with reception following morning they were aware and apologetic.

This wasn't an expensive holiday £550/person, so was still reasonable value, island lovely but would leave this area for the younger visitors.

we had 7 days stay here returned last wk ,Rooms are basic re - the ones that haven't been refurbished .Food well what can I say it wasn't the greatest and mostly it was warm never hot we had breakfast one morning and it was that bad we didn't bother going for any more :(.met some lovely people and the Animation team did their best with what they had Archery,Darts ,Water Polo, Table Tennis.
Night entertainment well ,the usual animal shows that cost 10 euro for a pic :( flamenco dancers etc .oh and not forgetting the kids disco which by the end of the wk we were doing all the moves lol
We had a room overlooking Banan Joes which about 3am started to quieten down if you wanted to leave your patio door open then no chance of sleep ,The balcony was actually larger than the room .
Would we go back NO :(

My boyfriend and I stayed for 7 days at the Ola Club Bermudas hotel for our first holiday together and we were not disappointed. On arrival we discovered that our hotel room was located downstairs on the Banana Joe's side, which was lively but did not keep us awake from the noise. The room was fantastic, very clean and modern and whilst we did not have a balcony, we did not feel that we missed it necessarily. The entertainment team were brilliant and got us involved in water polo, bingo and other daytime activities as well as providing good shows at night such as flamenco dancers. I am a fussy eater and the hotel allowed me to stay full by providing lots of variety and there was always something that appealed to me e.g. pasta, chilli and pork dishes.
However there were a couple of negatives during our stay. The first is that the drinks were all provided in small plastic cups, and whilst you could get as many as you wanted,I found that we were constantly going up to the bar and my boyfriend was pretty disappointed with less than half a pint of beer. Another small negative was that we had an early coach transfer and so we were too early for the breakfast we had already paid for, and we were not offered anything to take with us, we did not even get given a cup of tea/coffee before we left.

However overall the hotel was fantastic and I feel that it could easily become four star accommodation if it just made a few tweaks to it's service and its plastic cups. I will definitely visit the hotel again.

Room Tip: The basement rooms are of a very good quality and are very quiet and secluded

We spent 11 nights at this hotel and we enjoyed everything about the hotel except the food and drinks.

Positives:

The hotel is very well located for the beach, shops and bars. Although slightly dated, it is well maintained and very clean. The staff are mostly hardworking, professional and friendly.

Negatives:

All drinks apart from tea and coffee are served in 20cl disposable plastic cups. No glasses behind the bar at all. No chance of sitting back and quenching your thirst with pint in this place. It seemed like the drinks were being rationed.

Now the food. Where do I start?

Imagine making a meal out of the cheapest ingredients you can find, never serve it hot, only warm at best, and you will have some idea of what it was like.

Breakfast was nearly OK, but never hot and very poor quality ingredients. We had to go out to get a decent cooked breakfast at a nearby cafe. Typical choices at lunch or dinner would be fish, pork, pigs trotters, rabbit, pigs tongues, deep fried broccoli, liver, kidneys, chicken wings or salad. Boiled pasta, with thin tomato based sauce, was always available and a grill chef would cook you some sliced courgettes if you wished. Sometimes they would push the boat out and stew some lamb bones or make a chilli con carnie but forget to add the meat. The cold meats on the salad counter were the cheap luncheon meat type. The fruit and desserts were not too bad at all, although if you wanted cheese and biscuits, you needed to get in early before the small basket of crackers ran out.

We expected better food and so did most of the other people there. It just seemed like the food budget was too tight and therefore only a small amount of the very cheapest ingredients were used. Rationing springs to mind. We feel a little bit cheated and have given our feedback to Jet2.

In summary I think this is a nice place to stay but the all inclusive package is a joke.

we had 14 days at the Ola Bermdas Palmanova, on arrival at 1am in the morning we were courteously given our details and room number.Throughout our stay we made many friends and although I did not speak most languages, we had fun trying. The meals seemed to be the main topic with holiday makers at Ola Bermudas, my good lady Mary would have enjoyed more baked potatoes, The Chicken fillets on our last lunch were delicious.
The Animation team were very good with what resources they had and had to ad lib on occasions, The Staff we found were very friendly and helpful, very good!!
The Manager met us the first day and introduced himself, making it plain that he would be there for any eventuality. I would suggest that the pool rules on the doors be placed on the none moving glass either side of the doors, they would then be easily read even when the doors were in the open position,

Room Tip: for most sun get a room with a pool view, if a light sleeper don't be near Banana Joe side, if y...
