Had a week in the Viva Palmanova in June with my husband and our 2 and 3 year olds. We were upgraded when we arrived to a 2 bed ground floor apartment with private garden. This was at the back of the hotel (3016) so noise from evening entertainment wasn't a problem. Room was immaculate, reception staff were beyond helpful and so nice and the grounds were very well kept. There is a children's splash pool and seperate pools for older children/adults along with a children's play area with climbing facilities, bouncy castle, trampoline etc We didn't use the kids club as our kids were too young but all the other children seemed to love it, there were a kiddies disco every night with all the characters and our children loved it. We didn't go all inclusive as we felt our 2 & 3 year old wouldn't get value for money but we did go to the buffet on our first evening and the standard of food and variation is excellent. In terms of location you can go directly to the beach directly across the road down some steps but if u have buggies there is a slightly longer 10 min walk, Palmanova is really for families and couples and we found El Mecca restaurant the best for value and kids choices. I can't recommend this hotel and area enough. The only downside was the grocery shop next door to the hotel is excessively expensive but u will find cheaper in the area and really the hotel should not charge for small children for an all inclusive option even at a discount.

We have just returned from a weeks stay at the Viva Palma Nova and thought it was brilliant. As soon as you entered, you could tell that you were in a 4 star hotel. We had a ground floor apartment with separate bedroom and living room with sofa bed. Our garden terrace had table and chairs as well as a nice settee. We were all inclusive but still had a little kitchen with a large bottle of complimentary water waiting for us. My 2 children (7 and 4) had a great time. The kids pool was great with a pirate ship and slides and my husband enjoyed the main pool. We never struggled for sun beds. There is also a separate pool and sun beds for over 18s. The indoor pool is not very large but the water was warmer and it also has a jacuzzi. The children also loved the play area. This hotel definitely caters for children and has activities throughout the day and other extras such as kids cutlery and plates at mealtimes. However, there were plenty of adult only groups so don't be put off if you don't have children. We were so pleased that we went all inclusive because the food was amazing, there was so much choice. We ate breakfast and dinner in the restaurant and had lunch at the outside bar. There is a kids menu at lunchtime and the waiters always brought crayons and an activity sheet to the children at lunchtime. Every evening there was always pizza, chips, pasta and bolognese sauce so I always knew that if there wasn't anything else that they fancied, then at least they could have spaghetti bolognese. The entertainment team were good. A kids disco is held a 8pm before a main show at 9pm. We saw an Abba tribute, Spanish dancing, etc. The staff couldn't have been friendlier or more welcoming especially the waiting on staff and the reception staff were efficient and informative. They gave me a street map of the local area and told me which buses to get to different places. I was a little apprehensive about going to Palma Nova and being close to Magaluf (and for the record, I don't think this hotel is in Magaluf-we walked to Magaluf and you will know when you are there!) but it was all fine. The hotel is well out of the centre of anything improper and we saw lots of families. The beach and promenade were down some steps just across the road and the beach was lovely. Finally, it was my birthday whilst we were there and the cleaner must have seen my cards. I came back to our apartment to find a bottle of cava and a lovely plate of fruit. I cannot recommend this hotel highly enough.

The hotel is in "border" of Magaluf and Palma Nova, more in Magaluf if i'm asked. The hotel staff was friendly and helpfull. Service was good. The room cleaning left out some questions. Our room was "basic" one without extras (views etc) with garden view. The room was spacious - a bedroom, livingroom, bathroom and balcony. A small kitchen was equipped with toaster, kettle, coffee maker, micro, refrigerator and stove. Another equipment was tv, phone and hairdryer. Saftybox was 16,50€/week extra. Aircon was separately for bedroom and for livingroom.
The hotel pool area is large and there are also a different area for kids. When we stayed there was enough sunbeds and people not reserve those and which was good. There is lot of arranged activity available for those whom are interested. The hotel gym was adequate, wifi worked in our room, but they said it is working on lobby - for free. There is also "internet corner" for extra fee. There is also bikes and cars for rent - I suggest to take tour around and compare for prices. The hotel shop is expensive, there is much cheaper shops around. If you are thinking all inclusive, you should think again - if you dont get it cheap. When we stayd it was 53,50€/person/day.

We decided to have our 2 week family holiday earlier this year to incorporate the wedding of a close friend of the family at the start of our 2nd week.

Having been to Puerto Pollensa twice last year and totally falling in love with it we decided to spend the 2nd week of our holiday back there this time and chose Palma Nova for the 1st week. Like with every holiday we researched area and hotels in the area to death, bearing in mind that we were traveling with a 14 year old and a 15 month old we really needed a bit of something for everyone. With Palma Nova and Magaluf being right next door we were slightly concerned about possibility of rowdy holiday crowds but don't be put off even though this hotel is right on the edge of Palma Nova and Magaluf, it's in an ideal location just 5 mins from the beach, shops and restaurants on a quiet road away from the hustle and bustle.

For families and couples the hotel is perfect. For the kids there is a kids club that is very well run with loads to do for little ones and older kids from 10 am until 10 pm. The kids club team literally do not stop and are just great. There are various kids play areas and a fabulous kids pool. All in all your kids of all ages will love it here. It's really geared up for them but not at the expense of the adults getting to relax and enjoy the hotel. The night time entertainment is also great for kids and adults alike. Not the usual tedious hotel entertainment you'd expect in Spain. It's really well put together and if you fancy a break there's loads to do in Palma Nova or Magaluf anyway.

For the adults there's a Spa, which would put a lot of 5 star hotels to shame. An adults only pool for some relaxation of a quieter kind, there are 2 gyms, an indoor pool and a volleyball court so as I said there is something for everyone.

We opted for all inclusive and a Royal Room with rooftop terrace. It's well worth the money and the all inclusive package is again first class. The food is exceptional and the waiting staff are second to none. They do not stop and will go above and beyond your expectations.

We will definitely be back.

Room Tip: Royal Terrace Rooms are brilliant.

We stayed 10 days here in Viva Palmanova, and it was excellent! We travelled with our 2 kids (4-7) and they loved it! The playground areas, the pool and of course the pirate boat!!
The staff was amazing, always happy and friendly.. except for one mr grumpy in the bar.
The entertainment staff was great! Even though the kids club was placed in front of the stage. (because the actual club was re-painting at the moment I think..)
But our 2 kids loved it! the 3 kids entertainers was so good! Imagine taking care of 20 kids from 6 different countries.. Praise for them!
The shows in the evening could be better.. I loved the 3 boys singing, frank sinatra and 80s music. :)

We will be back!!!
Highly recommended :)

As most people that read my reviews will know, we spend at least one or two holidays each year in the resorts of Magaluf / Torre Nova / Palma Nova. Each time we have a difficulty deciding whether we will go to an Hotel, or an Apartment, and where to go that won't leave us traumatised by the antics of Stags and / or Hens.

Difficulty is that we like the "buzz" of Magaluf, and also the friends we have that live and work there, but the perennial problem of getting a sleep at night is always a trial. This time we decided to try the Aparthotel "Vivapalmanova." mainly because we knew it was in a quiet spot close to all the resorts, and because it had fairly good write ups in Trip Advisor.

I booked it last year and got the "middle range" of apartment. This guaranteed a ground floor apartment which had it's own garden and sun loungers.

We duly arrived on the 4th.May 2013 around 21.00hrs. Reception staff were very friendly and helpful. We were allocated room 3001 which was on the ground floor not far from the reception area. First impressions were that the apartment was very nice with all the facilities we needed. Bedroom contained a very large double bed, and loads of storage space.

We discovered later that although the sheets etc. were changed regularly, the duvet wasn't. It was only by accident that we discovered it was stained by blood? or something else? not sure what......not a good reflection on the cleanliness.

We also discovered quickly that this hotel is geared up for children, and although it was early in the season, it was full of very young children, so, although it was quiet late on at night, it was murder around 7.00 am. when the screaming / crying kids woke up, and parents decided that was also the time to re-arrange the furniture by dragging it across the floors?

Overall, a very nice place, excellent facilities....especially for young families. Very nice friendly staff. Would we go back?....hmmm!.

Room Tip: Rooms on the bottom for private sunbathing....top floors for quiet.
