Shared a one bedroom apartment between 2 adults and 2 kids, who were 12 and 16. Self-catering for 2 weeks. There was a slight problem with the rooms on arrival, but it was sorted within 30 minutes. The hotel has a small but convenient shop in reception, but a 5-10 minute walk to the left of the hotel and there is a big Eroski supermarket which is very cheap. They have computers to use 1 euro for 10 minutes, or you could buy wi-fi for one of your devices for 4 euros a day. There are always activities going on throughout the day including water polo, aqua bingo, aqua gym, rifle shooting and other games. Although we didn’t have any young children, there was also a kids club for them to take part in. We had to get up at 7:30am to get a good spot down at the pool and more importantly an umbrella to shade us in the days. Although there would still be spare beds left at around 10am, which is fine if you do not wish to have an umbrella. There is one side of the pool that is in the shade all day and one side that is in the sun all day, the shaded side is the side closest to the bar. The pool is bigger than it looks. The floor by the pool can be quite slippery as you can imagine, and the floor does tend to get very hot throughout the day so I would suggest to wear a pair of flip flops by the pool. We purchased food by the pool many times and were impressed every time, reasonable prices and good tasting food. The one thing that did stand out was that the sunbeds are not adjustable so that you can sit up. The room(one bedroom apartment) was modern, with plenty of storage in the bedroom, living area and kitchen. However there are no shelves in the bathroom, just space around the sink to put your things. There is already a hairdryer in the bathroom for you to use. There are plenty of plug sockets around the apartment. A big bonus in the apartment is the air conditioning, there is one in the living area and in the bedroom. However this meant that outside on the balcony was way too hot to sit down there as the air con machine would release hot air on the balcony. The 2 flights of steps up to our apartment was not a problem, but could be a struggle for people with buggies. We were in block M on the second floor with a balcony view of the gardens just up from the pool area. There was some noise early hours in the morning from youngsters but as soon as we reported it to reception, we didn’t hear any other noise. The maid service was great, they would come to the apartments regulary to change towels, take out rubbish and change the bed linens. I would say all of the staff we encountered were friendly, as we were leaving the hotel to head out for dinner one night, a staff member on reception even offered their recommendations of restraunts to go to. I can't comment on the night entertainment as we were never there at that time of night ( around about 10pm ). The hotel is in a great location with bars and restauraunts and plenty of shops to the left or right to the hotel. Mcdonalds is a five minute walk to the left of the hotel. The beach is a 5 minute walk. I would highly recommend the Western Waterpark in Magaluf, it is expensive at 26 euro per person and the food in there is expensive but it is worth the money. If you book tickets with the hotel you get free transport there but have to make your own way back, we chose to get a taxi back to the hotel which only cost 5 euros. On the beaches, there are many watersports to enjoy, prices ranging from 10-35 euros.
Bars and Restaurants I'd recommend:-
To the left of the hotel:
Cheeks (lively and great deals on drinks)
Woody's (cheap and large measures of drink)
Scandia (1.25 euro for a pint, cheap and serve up a great full English for just 4.50 euros)
Ben (15 minute walk but great food there and reasonable prices)
Kompas (lovley food here and massive portions for the money)
Banana Joes (lively and deals on drinks)

To the right of the hotel:
Prince William (lovley staff, great music, Wi-Fi, fab cocktails)
Juanito Bananas (reasonably priced, Wi-Fi)
Happy Chinese (on the beach, best pint of the holiday, delicious)
Godfathers
Welsh Mosquito
Sports Bar
El Mecca Piano Bar (great meals here)

Overall, a fab holiday, would return.

Room Tip: More selection of bars and restaurants to the right of the hotel.

Stayed in this hotel at this time, 2 adults a sixteen year old and a 13 year old. We were put in apartment I1, basically a cellar room, no view from balcony and shaded all day in a complex away from everything. we complained and were moved after 2 days to D6 3rd floor apartment with a pool view. this totally transformed the holiday. The air conditioning unit is on the balcony so you have warm air blowing on you which is annoying so you have to turn all the units off whilst on the balcony, a positive though is it dries the towels and swimming gear really quickly The staff were friendly and helpful apart from one of the elder bar staff who during happy hour got stressed with the pressure and was a bit abrasive.
The pool snack bar was good value with although limited very adequate food at reasonable prices. Although there was groups of lads they never caused a problem and after 12:10 am the complex was reasonably quiet.
the safe cost 20 eu with a 7 eu deposit, the air con remote had to be rented with a 20 eu deposit that was refunded on return. the Wifi was 20 eu for a week but was not the best and was only for 1 item so expensive if you all need wifi. The tv was 15 eu per week.
There is a great supermarket Eroski at very good prices, out of hotel, turn left turn left at the corner and at the end of the road it is on the right up some stairs.
We ate out at night so I can not comment on the hotel restraunt, if you turn right out of hotel towards Magaluf the Florida restaurant is on the right 10 mins, very good prices and good meals although it is busy after 8 pm. The Sangria was 6.5 EU for a ltr and was superb.
We also ate at Caster ways which is left out of the hotel and next to a Tobacconist 5 mins. this had big tv screens. the food here was cheap and was nice although limited. Reasonable prices on the drinks as well even soft drinks.
There is loads of water sports to do if you dont mind paying, we did the pedalos at 15 eu per hour. Take a bus ride into Palma whilst you are there as it is beautiful and a good day out.
If you go to the Western waterpark in Magaluf then there is a free bus which runs from out side the hotel, this bus is packed with the normal disorganized fight to get on it. if you do not like this then a taxi is only 5.70 eu each way.

Room Tip: Ask for a pool side view, if you get J or I blocks then you will be disappointed.

Stayed at this hotel with a family of two young babies and 3 other children we requested a ground floor as we would have two buggys we did not expect to have to carry both buggys up so many steps every day, even though we did get the ground floor we requests we still had to go up steps and down again to get to our room ! We had cockroaches in our room non stop and couldn't even have the air con on as there was cockroaches in the air vents! The food was mainly Spanish foods which is not good for children who have never tried foods like this before there is still also no lifts in the reception area to get down to the resturant so for breakfast and dinner we had to struggle trying to get both buggies up and down with only 2 adults. The maids hardly ever turned up to change bed sheets, towels etc we ended up having to go and ask for a maid to come to change these things. This is not the ideal hotel for families who have young children as you will have to carry your buggies up so many steps a day , this should be shown clearly in the Thomas cook brochure !!

Room Tip: Save your money and go to a decent hotel!!!

Second holiday to this hotel and have just returned home and booked a third holiday. Entertainment staff brilliant fun. All staff very friendly. BBQ Friday - Deluxe menu - FAB. Yes there are alot of steps, but travelers should do their homework before booking! Good location for Palma Nova and Magaluf and within 20 minutes from airport - by cab.

Dont be put of this hotel just by some of the reviews, me and my partner and 2 teenagers have just returned from aquasol and are already looking to book for october. Rooms basic yes but clean and comfortable, staff friendly and really helpful asked for extra pillows 5 mins later they were there nothing was to much trouble. Food in the pool bar was lovely and you got plenty,no need to fight for sunbeds as there is enough and always something going on for any age.Shows of a night time were a bit hit and miss but none i can say were that bad that i can say dont bother. I think i can speak for the 4 of us the entertainment staff Leona and Eugene made our holiday they work brilliantly together and even the simple games they made funny and enjoyable with their humour and banter, on request they even ordered the daughter a birthday cake and made her birthday one she will never forget. As with all hot countries you expect the odd cockroach but we didnt see that many.Yes there was young lads and girls there but we never got woke up by them coming back at all hours they mostly were respectful of the fact that there was people there not just them. Would definatly recommend this hotel and will be returning!!!!

arrived here late on sunday night and was give a room far from reception on 3rd floor with no lift and 8 flights of stairs
this was totally unsuitable as we had already requested ground floor accomodation as we had 2 babies in buggies
however the next morning we were moved to the ground floor and we had a most pleasant stay. apartments were clean and spacious with kettle toaster microwave and air con.
the staff were pleasant and welcoming and always willing to offer advice on good restaurants etc.
i would go back no problem

Room Tip: no lift so try to get ground floor

Just returned , first to point out request a top floor apartment . We arrived 9.30pm to be given a room which resembled a cellar room to find a massive cockroach in the bath room and dead flies all over the apartment , on the floor and stuck to the cieling, was kept awake mod of the night by those returning form their night / morning out. Next day complained about the room but was told it was to be expected in Majorca. Requested room change but told we would have to wait the following day. That night the bunch of lads above us had their music on full blast felt i was in a night club, complained to reception and they sorted t out straight away. There were 4 us , 3 adults and 2 child. Got moved to top floor apartment on day 2 . Much better cleaner, no vermon and did not eat those returning from nights out.
Very mixed hotel teenagers , 20 something's and families. Pool area ok but preferred the beach as more peaceful. Saw the state of the rooms of the young ones that checks out, awful. People left their rubbish around the pool glass bottles etc to be cleaned by staff, not on. Would recommend hiring a private apartment or villa. Food not bad during the day ate there twice and waiter friendly. Used to my all inclusive 4/5 in Egypt / Mexico , 3 star in Thailand beats this.
