Firstly, do not be fooled by magaluf takeover's website. We booked the 'Takeover Suites' expecting them to look like as advertised on their website: http://www.magaluftakeover.com/images/trh_magaluf1.jpg (from: http://www.magaluftakeover.com/hotels.php). This cannot be further from the truth - we were so surprised at just how shockingly different they were we went back to reception to see if we had been put in the correct room, sadly we were. The room was very basic: 2 single beds in a room, 2 sofabeds in the other room, an old microwave, a fridge and a bathroom. The advertised 'Bose' speakers were in actual fact some cheap knock-off ipod dock station which sounded so much worse than the built-in ipod speaker itself we took them back in exchange for the 30€ deposit we put down for them. There was also no Satellite TV, Takeover Gift Pack or Takeover Branded Furnishings. The rooms were clean and aircon was working. Sleeping was challenging as, for some strange reason, the security stopped noisemakers during the hours everyone was partying and then the hotel blared out club music poolside in the morning through to afternoon.
Secondly, the staff were reluctant to help and at times rude presenting an attitude that they had far more important things to attend to than help their guests. The reps were disappointing as we only saw them a couple of times during the day throughout the holiday. No effort was made to enhance the holiday.
Finally, the 'takeover' aspect of the holiday did not meet our expectations. We were presented with a wristband on arrive which we were told would gain us entry and access to discounted drinks and food around the local clubs and restaurants. This was also an empty promise saving us no money and gained us entry nowhere! The one restaurant, foxy's, did however give us 10% off the bill as they said they had plans to start a special menu for takeover guests - thank you foxy's! We were given free entry tickets to one night in the MCP clubs and one night in BCM by the reps and all other nights were self organised. Their takeover bar-crawl was pitiful with only a handful of participants visiting about 7 bars/clubs - we all expected this night to have been well organised to include free drinks but once again we were let down and out of pocket as only the last venue had a 'limited time only' free bar.
In conclusion I would avoid the booking with takeover as you will be left very disappointed. I would recommend booking each item separately so you know exactly what to expect and what you will/should get.
