“Great value for money”
Reviewed June 7, 2010

Myself and my girlfriend (mid 20s) and my girlfriend's son (6 years) stayed for 10 days at the end of May/beginning of June. I was worried about staying there after reading reviews that said it was full of stags and hens. It was great. We paid €328 for the 9 nights which was the same costing for 7 nights, so this extended our holiday. The staff were great, apart from one ignorant barman. There are two levels above ground and 3 levels below ground (it's built into a cliff face) but there is no lift to the above-ground levels so we had to drag our luggage up two flights. There is a lift to the below-ground levels, though. The location is fantastic, yes it's on a hill but unless you're elderly or disabled this isn't an issue. The room was basic but clean and it was cleaned 5 times in 10 days with fresh towels etc. The only gripe with the room was that the shower curtain couldn't keep the water in. The cleaners were friendly and efficient. Almost all rooms have a sea view but one or two have a poor view of other parts of the complex. The kids club kept them entertained in the morning and afternoon by the pool, then also in the evening down in the bar. There are two pools and plenty of sun loungers which look out to a great view over the bay. During our stay we saw only families staying there. We ate out for most of our stay but for the last three days we went all-inclusive in the complex. €48 per day for all three of us (€24 per adult and children up to a certain age go free), as much food and drink as we could handle. The dining room was fantastic, hot and cold spreads 3 times a day, great food and something for everyone. Beer, wine sangria and soft drinks included. In between meal times you can get burgers and chips from the pool bar if you're hungry, part of the all-inclusive. They give you a card to use if you're all-inclusive but we were told ours needed to be replaced for some reason. We replaced it but the second one gave us trouble as well. Another family had the same issue. Despite this, you'd be crazy not to go all-inclusive for at least part of your stay. The food is very good, the service is fine, and value for money wise, it's unbeatable. Each evening from about 8 o'clock onwards there was kids entertainment followed by bingo and then an entertainment act. It's worth staying around the complex if you're all-inclusive because you won't spend a penny.
There's a small supermarket in the complex and many more just a few minutes walk away.

All in all, we found it to be family-friendly and in a great location. The facilities were fine and the all-inclusive option is fantastic.

I read the reviews for this hotel and was a bit nervous. Overall my family and I had a great holiday the childrens entertainment during the day was very good the age range was 4-12yrs. The weather was not good, there was a rainy day programme set out. We were all inclusive and the food was very good and the staff polite. It was not a noisy hotel but the bedrooms are at the back of the apartment so you can here people coming up and down the corridor.
It has lovely views but it is up a steep hill so carrying food up the hill if you were self-catering would'nt be easy. The cheapest shop is called BIT we got it from the reviews here. Its a 15 min walk away but worth it value wise.
If you have a rainy day Upside down house is great fun only a short walk away. Buy any tickets in the shop down from the hotel it is cheaper than at the door.

All inclusive deal including bus transfer to and from airport for 330euro. Superb deal!
Buffet style good quality food with lots of variety. Hard working kind staff.
Simple twin room with ensuite + power shower. Balcony had a beautiful view of the sea.
All amenties very clean. Slightly hilly but only 5 minutes to beach and local pubs/restaurants.
The worst part of the trip was THOMAS COOK who were non-existent and unsupportive. They didn't have out names on their list for travelling on their buses going to and from the airport. Luckily we had a receipt of confirmation we paid for the bus transfer. The Reps never turned up on time. We finally managed to meet one on Day 4 when she was over an hour late!!!!! Compared to Budget Travel Thomas Cook were brutal. However everything else about the trip was super!

Just back from a week in Hawaii Aparthotel. Stayed with my son (12) and a friend and her 2 sons. Overall we had a brilliant time and would definitely go back.
The hotel is only a 5 - 10 minute walk to the resort. It is up a bit of a hill, but that's not really a problem and is made up for by the view from the pool area which looks across the bay. There are 2 pools and plenty of sun loungers.
We went all inclusive and didn't bother eating out any day as the food in the hotel was fine. The rooms were clean and comfortable, but not very sound proof.
The staff here were brilliant. The animation team made our holiday - Thank you Sara & Lisa - by keeping the kids entertained all day as well as for the evening programme. Also activites / games for the adults, if you want to take part. The dining room and bar staff and reception were also great.
The week we were there there was a huge mix of people - families, couples, groups, Young & Old. Remembering that it is a 3 star hotel, the service and value for money was excellent.
Lots to do and see in and around Palma Nova though there was so much going on in the hotel we didn't find the need to visit the the other attractions. We loved this hotel and would go back to it again.

Stayed in Hawaii Torrenova last year with 8 of my mates.... it was amazing....there are 2 decent sized pools and our sunbeds were over looking the beach... stunning views...its literally a 2 miniute walk to the supermarket and the beach and a 5 miniute walk into the main strip of magaluf.... deffinately not a family place to stay its all young people which was gd for us. Also loved the happy hour at the bar... cheap drinks! Appartments were clean, fresh towels and clean bed sheets every second day. Staff were friendly and helpful and it took them 5 mins to fix outr air condition on the first night! Loving Hawaii Torrenova would deffinately go back!

stayed here for a getaway with the fiancee, some sunbathing, drinking etc.

within less than 5 mins either way you were at lovely golden sand beaches! palma nova is quieter than magalufs beach but you get less wind! there are more facilities along the front on magaluf's beach, but some equally good cafes in palma nova, we loved the florida cafe, great snacky type food good for lunch!

the hotel was ok, we had a great sea view of palma nova's beach, but our room was below the bar, so we could always hear chairs scrapping on the floor!

we didnt really use the facilities in the apartment, the drinks at the bar were quite expensive so we were pretty much out of the hotel most of the time and relaxed on the beach. had some good nights out in magaluf, mainly at alexanders karaoke bar! :)

these apartments are in a great location, and good for a base to do your own thing!

oh and the pools are freezing!!! no one went in them whilst we were there! one afternoon i thought id try, and most of the people sunbathing were laughing and cheering me on! haha i only got in half way haha. this is because the pools are in the shade of the hotel and hardly see sunlight!

We stayed at Hawaii Torrenova for a week in Sept, 2008. We thought the location of the hotel was really good as it was between Magaluf & Palma Nova. The only downside was that it was up a hill...it was okay for myself & my Boyfriend as we're in our early 20's but i think it was be quite tiring for elderly people or someone in a wheelchair etc...

Our rooms were clean and spacious, with everything you would expect. The pool was of ample size and the pool bar was very nice too. We didn't eat in the apts so can't comment on the food.

We tended to hang around Magaluf on a night time, as it had more atmosphere than Palma Nova. Palma Nova is aimed more at families and couples, where as Magaluf is aimed more at young, single groups of lads & lasses. We did find it difficult to find nice places to eat within both Magaluf & Palma Nova.

One night we when to the Pirate Show in Magaluf which we thought was excellent and strongly recommended, great for all ages!! We also went to Western Park aquapark which was a good day (apart from it raining!!).

Overall, i would recommend Hawaii Torrenova as it was well worth the money that we paid. I won't be rushing back to Magaluf anytime soon though as it was full of groups and myself & Boyfriend felt a bit out of place.
