Stayed here june 11-18th 2011, myself, the misus and our baby. The staff were very friendly and hard working, we went all inclusive,(i dont think i would want to be working behind the bar, serving non stop all day and night) The rooms were a little dated, but clean and tidy, the towels were changed almost everyday. We had a lovely sea view. The food for us was good lots of salad, fish etc. Most of the other brits just seemed to pile up there plates with chips, bizzar. All in all we had a really nice week. With this hotel you get what you pay for.

We stayed at the Hawaii Torrenova Apartments in June 2011. Check-in at the hotel was not the best as the reception man kept answering the phone, so it took a while. We got two nice rooms and one not so nice! Two of the rooms were looking right over the pool area, the other we re-named 'the dungeon'! - It wasn't that bad, it was just down a lot of stairs! The rooms were basic, typical holiday apartments really. Maid service was pretty good, cleaned 5 times in a week, towels changed twice and sheets also changed twice. The pool area was clean and nice with plenty of sunbeds - could easily get a sunbed for all 7 of us at about 11am, in the afternoon it did fill up though.
The All Inclusive was a bit limited as there was no cocktails or anything included in it - just the local spirits and just one type of lager. The food was okay aswell, pretty average but was always filled up and kept hot.
The hotel is in a good area for young people especially. There was 7 of us in our party (aged 18-19) so to be in between Magaluf and Palma Nova was good. Magaluf is a bit too crazy though, but Palma Nova is good for some nightlife!
At the beginning of the week it wasn't too busy, but enough people for a good atmosphere! Towards the end of the week some bigger parties turned up and it became a bit hectic. There was a glass door kicked in, police around and people being chased around the pool area at 1am! Security were good though and stayed in the hotel at night.
Overall, I don't think I would return to the hotel as it was very basic so maybe a bit over priced, but it isn't a bad hotel at all. The views from the hotel are great and it is easy to navigate around. The beach is really close too, and the 'Welsh Mosquito' is a lovely bar on the beach. Oh and the hill really isn't as bad as everyone has made it out to be! I think the hotel is ideally suited for younger people!

We've just returned from 10 days at this hotel with my other half and two kids age 11 & 12.
I'm going to be totally honest in this review, we enjoyed our stay and the holiday itself. This is a basic 3 star hotel, the location is it's best selling point. The views from the rear of the hotel are amazing, they overlook the sea and many of the flashy boats! There is a steep hill if you are walking down into palma nova, it's not unbearable though and the majority of people would manage it fine.

We had a one bedroom apartment which they say could sleep five adults, I'm not sure there would be enough wardrobe space for five adults though but we managed fine with the two kids. The rooms themselves could have done with some updating if I'm being totally honest, there is a small kitchenette with fridge, dishes, sink and kettle. It was just things like fridge was a little bit rusty on the front, the tiles were chipped etc. Nothing major and didn't detract from our holiday as we spent very little time in the room during the day. The view from our balcony was stunning, particularly at night. The bedroom had two twin beds, wardrobe, dressing table with light above and two sockets. The lounge/kitchenette had three sofa's which convert into beds once you take the cushions off the back. Got to say we slept on these a couple of nights and have to admit they weren't very comfy. The bathroom was compact, but the shower over the bath was great, very powerful and ideal after a long day at the pool. The maid service was most days, but I think they have two days per week where only the towels are changed. The rest of the time beds were re-made and clean bedding put out, they also empty the bin. I know they don't clean the kitchen area at all but as we were all inclusive we barely used it anyhow.
At times I felt the cleaning staff could have done a better job - but mainly things like not fully mopping the floors etc, in general it was sufficient.

The all inclusive buffet I found to be fine. It wasn't gourmet food, but most nights I found something I enjoyed. Lots of fresh salads, fresh fish and always a good variety. Breakfast was a bit hit and miss - but then catering for large groups at breakfast in most hotels is difficult. Apparently, they do serve snacks in the restaurant in between meals, this is more like fresh bread, salad, cold meat and some burgers/chicken nuggets/chips etc. We only found this out late during the week though and to be honest were pretty full from the other meals.

The staff we found to be more than helpful, some spoke better english than others but we always got by. The pool bar served drinks and with all inclusive they were all local drinks and spirits. The measures were generous but they only allowed two alcoholic drinks to be served per person at any given time. Toward the end of our stay there were some queues but nothing major and these were quickly reduced by the staff.

Entertainment wise - Sara and the kids club lady work really hard to provide good entertainment during the day. They are limited with the resources they have but to be fair they did try and get everyone involved. The younger kids loved the panda club and they also have an evening timetable for the little ones. The professional entertainment during the night isn't great to be honest, a little bit cheesy but we weren't too worried about this. They are now doing the evening entertainment outside on the bar terrace which is better as you benefit from the breeze and amazing view.

The only gripe I had was that they do take large same sex group bookings. We had a couple of stag groups, the first lot were a little rowdy but nothing too bad. The second group were awful, loud, swearing and generally not something I'd expect in a family hotel. The security did eventually come out and hung about for a while which seemed to quieten them down somewhat. Even during the day though their conversations were loud and not for the ears of kids, surprisingly this was a group of older men so not what I'd expect from this age group.

This is probably the reason I wouldn't return to this hotel, I'd try further into Palma Nova, this property really is on the border of magaluf and Palma Nova, but I'd say more magaluf. However, considering the location we didn't hear any street or bar noise once you were inside the hotel. If you've booked to go here, I'd still say you'll have a great time but I trawl reviews myself and felt it only fair to be honest.

Room Tip: Ask for a sea view

The hotel is at the top of mount Everest but for this you get the best views of the bay every. The view from our room was amazing, Our room was basic but very clean the kitchen was fully equipped with everything you could need to cook a meal etc if self catering. We were AI but been able to make a brew was great. We found the staff to be polite and friendly at all time's, The food was very nice and plentiful you don't go hungry here. The restaurant is open a lot more hours than most places we have been to but because of this there are no free snacks there is a small charge for hot dogs, chip etc from the pool bar. Whilst we were there it was mainly families and couples a few stag and hen does who were no trouble at all. There are plenty of sun beds but the towel brigade operate from about 8am for the best spot to leave their towel unused for the day, The views again from around the pool are fantastic. The entertainment is typical tourist stuff the staff work really hard to make sure everyone is ok. To sum up. The hotel is very clean with good food and entertainment. The views are amazing. The only down side for me is the HILL it is MASSIVE.

Room Tip: ask for lower floors

On arrival I thought the hotel looked a bit basic but was pleasantly suprised. It was my first 'proper' holiday abroad and I went with my parents, husband and our 2 children aged 7 and 4. We all absolutely loved it. The hotel was clean, all staff were very friendly and extremely helpful. Our apartment had a wonderful view and the balcony was over the roof to the restaurant which meant we had privacy as well as not worrying about the kids falling off, but not missing out on the view of the bay. The hotel was in walking distance of both Palma Nova and Magaluf. The food was very nice, well presented and varied so there was something for everyone. Mealtimes were also very good and snacks and drinks were available from the poolside bar at other times. We went all inclusive and will definately do this again. We are already saving to go again as soon as possible and will definately be recommending to friends. We are hoping to go for another family trip for my husband's 40th birthday in 2 years time.
The entertainment was also very good with a kids club and also an adult/teenagers club both morning and afternoon. There was also 2 pools and other facilities such as pool and air hockey tables. The evening entertainment was varied and very entertaining, the kids loved the snake show and my youngest daughter even joined in and got a free photo to prove it!!!!! Definately a great all round hotel and we will be back ASAP!!!
