Got back from an 11 night stay on 24 Aug for 2 adults and 2 kids 11 and 7. The staff are fantastic and can't do enough for you. The food is also excellent with a wide range available at all times. Each Thursday there is a show cooking evening and the effort and skill on display is fabulous.

The rooms are clean and have a fridge, hairdryer, excellent air con and tv and no kettle but these can be hired. The room is quite small but not a problem as you only sleep and shower there.

There is no SKY at the hotel but sports fans will have no problem in finding a bar. Wifi is 15 euros per week and is ok but can be a bit slow at peak times.

And now the "but"

I have been holidaying in the Balearics on all inclusives at peak times, for the last 12 years and its true that most hotels have sunbed issues but I have not seen anything like this before and is the reason why I would never return here.

The hotel has 3 fabulous pools and this is the main reason why we booked as the kids love the slides and swimming. The hotel is badly let down by the behaviour of guests putting towels down from 4.00 am. The management are also behaving badly by allowing this to happen and staff can be seen watching the fun as the doors open at 8.30 and the mad rush for sunbeds ensues. People are actually running and arguing over umbrellas and beds. Beds are reserved and allowed to be left empty until mid afternoon. I think the reason for this is that the hotel do not provide packed lunches which is another first for me at an all Inc.especially 4 star. Guests are reserving beds and going to the beach then returning after they have had lunch at the hotel as they are too tight to buy lunch on resort. The management should also remove towels from beds that have not been used for say 2 hours. They should also remove towels that have been placed in a queue from 4 am. It's all well and good putting signs up forbidding reserving beds but at some point they should act on it.

On the plus side we went to the beautiful beach, water park and marine land in an effort to avoid the shambles. This may not be an issue off peak and if staying by the pool is not your thing everything else about the hotel is excellent.

Room Tip: Pool view rooms are noisier than at the back of the hotel

We stayed in the Torrenova Marina in August 2013.

We save all year like most people and I have to say what a waste of money it was!

Firstly when we arrived we had to wait an hour for our room as it wasn't ready. When we arrived in the room the floor was wet and my little boy fell over and hurt his arm. The rooms are basic and old fashioned. The glass panel on the balcony was loose.

The food is average.

The staff are nice enough and the cleaners work really hard.

The location is a real let down. Just around the corner from magaluf. Lots of young people around and shops selling obscene items not for the eyes of young children.

Not too far from the beach, about a 5 min walk.

The sunbeds are all taken up if you don't get up early enough. The doors are locked and everyone rushes to put their towels out when they open.

The swimming pools are ok, kids one is good with lots of slides etc. the flooring round the pools are slippery and old. Most of the swimming pools and sunbathing places are IN THE SHADE! No good for people who want a tan!!

Overall a real let down! Hated the holiday can't wait to go back to a nice hotel next year!

We have just come back (19th Aug) after 1 weeks stay 2 adults and 2 children 5 & 9. I was a little worried about this hotel after reading some of the more recent reviews re: sickness bugs/entertainment etc etc. However i shouldn't of as we had a fantastic family holiday without any sign of sickness bugs, hen/stag parties/rowdy crowds or the reported rubbish entertainment.
When we arrived we were swiftly checked in (reception staff very friendly and helpful all week). Room was lovely (a little dusty in places but on the whole clean and fresh). We were on the 3rd floor and had a pool view from the side which meant we were not directly over the stage area. I have to admit it was noisy at night with noise til very late and can imagine it was even worse if you were directly over the stage area. However this didn't really bother us as we were all exhausted come that time of night and with the balcony door closed wasn't too bad.
The hotel itself is lovely, modern, clean, fresh and every single one of the staff are friendly, helpful, polite and could never do enough to help.
The pool areas were always well maintained, clean and looked after. The small pool was closed for a whole day due to a toddler accident but there is a splash pad and main pool so didn't inconvenience us as all.
Yes there were bar ques in the evening but went down very quickly as the bar staff were efficient and there were plenty on.
The sunbed run - believe everything you read on here! It was tempting to record it so people would believe us but it was laughable really! People were queuing from around 6-6.30am until the pool doors opened at 8.30am just to get their sun beds! There were a few days when we had to sit on chairs or just on our towels but going down before 08.45am meant most days we were able to secure a bed or two. Even though it shouldn't be allowed you find yourself taking part just because you have to! Most annoying when families reserve sets of beds then are out til early afternoon.
Food - i cannot see how anyone would find anything to moan about. There was always a huge variety of choice, meats, fish, pastas, potatoes, chips, vegs etc etc. It was always tasty and none of us had one complaint the whole week. There is something for even the fussiest of eaters (and our youngest son is one of them!) The restaurant staff were brilliant.
It was our 10th wedding anniversary whilst we were there and were given a complimentary bottle of champagne courtesy of the hotel - very nice touch - thank you.
The deputy manager was around the hotel pretty much every day at all times, chatting to guests, staff and ensuring everyone was having a brilliant holiday. I have never known such attentive management and staff team.
The entertainment team were great and did their best to get everyone involved with various activities through the day and night. The children (and adults) loved the Gangnham style dancing 4x daily!! Not the best mini disco we've seen but the kids loved it.
One small comment would be it would have been nice to have had the bed sheets changed whilst we were there but not the end of the world. Fresh towels daily.
Safe was 27 euros for the week, TV was hit and miss cbebbies was fine but other than that only one other English channel and the TV was very old, no remote!
Location was perfect far enough from magaluf to be out of the nightlife but close enough to enjoy its beaches/shops through the day. Palma Nova beach prettier, just down the road (take no notice of the hill comments - its not that bad!) Supermarket down the road brilliant for night time nibbles!
The pirate show is a MUST!! worth every penny! (Thank you to Helen the Thomas Cook rep for all the local info tips and excursion bookings!)
All in all this was a fantastic family holiday and we would not think twice about going again (only for longer as none of us wanted to come home)! Worthy of its 4 stars!

Room Tip: Pool rooms have nicer views but can be noisy if on the lower floors above the stage area. Ask for hi...

We were recommended this hotel by friends we met on holiday in Ibiza last year and it was everything they said and more.
The hotel itself is situated in the torrenova area between Palma nova and magaluf (less than a ten minute walk downhill to both) and so is ideally situated although the walk back up the hill may be a struggle for anyone with age or health concerns.
The hotel is described as four star and overall I would suggest it might be 3+ as we have stayed in smarter three star hotels.
On arrival at 10:30 in the morning our room was not ready but we were invited into the dining room for breakfast and were given our bands so we could start enjoying the all inclusive offerings of the hotel.
The dining room is light and airy serving a wide range of buffet style meals and every mealtime was excellent; the food was hot, varied and tasty with some repartition over the fortnight we were staying but the variety did mean that you could chose another option. As I said the food was fantastic and very much four star.
The outdoor areas were also very good. The hotel boasts three pools, one adult, one kids shallow pool and one splash pool with slides and water jets.
If as we were you spent a lot of time in and around the splash pool (our six year old loved it) you were the furthest away from the hotel and bar and toilet facilities but these were only a matter of a couple of minutes away and this end of the hotel got the lions share of the sunshine 10am-5pm and was less of a scramble for the sun loungers.
Downstairs in the hotel near the dining room is situated the Thomas Cook kids club and the hotels own mini club. Both were excellent although our little one preferred the hotels as they handed out certificates and medals and the young woman who ran it (Damaris) was really good with the kids and worked really hard to ensure they all enjoyed themselves.
All the hotels staff are a credit to them and to Marina hotels, the restaurant staff, hotel reception staff, entertainment staff, domestic staff and bar staff were all extremely friendly and helpful.
The hotel assistant manager was always around and on hand during meal times and on an evening to ensure that everyone had a great stay.
Most aspects of the hotel were really first class and deserving of four stars or more, my only two complaints (and neither were enough to put me off returning) were the ludicrous policy of not letting residents out to the poolside areas until 08:30 to stop the "German syndrome" of early morning sun lounger snatching raids. This just caused some people to get up and pile their towels in a conga line from the doors into the reception area from 06:00 and turn this area of the hotel into a cross between a refugee camp and a zombie land early on and then a mad rush out of the doors at 08:30 and a lot of pushing and shoving and potential flash points. The only thing missing was the Benny Hill music as they all charged out jockeying for position near the big adult pool closest to the hotel. (I got up at 08:15 each morning, joined the queue and even when strolling down to the splash pool through the maelstrom of frantic sun lounger hunting holiday makers, still made it down to the splash pool un hindered and able to take advantage of the lack of chaos and select which sun loungers I liked without the need for special forces trained hand to hand combat).
The other issue was the evening entertainment it was ok (just) and for me the staff didn't put there all into it or the budget wasn't there. We stayed at the Fiesta Millord at San Antonio Ibiza last year and in 2009 and that was a three star (officially) and the evening entertainment was much better both in variety and presentation.
Neither of these would put me off returning, overall this is a very appealing hotel, very well run. I would encourage anyone with a young family to try it if you are looking for a all inclusive and you don't want to spend much more than two hours in the air and less than half an hour transfer from the airport.
A big thanks to all the staff for making our holiday such an enjoyable one.
Ian, Jo and Kinley.

To be frank, I was not looking forward to this holiday. but it was planned by my Children (now adults) as an entire family Holiday! It was going to be noisy, hot, and not my sort of holiday at all! To my surprise I got it all wrong!
The Hotel Marina Terrenova was smart, welcoming and efficient from the beginning. Fairly large and clearly totally aimed at the holiday market it was nevertheless clean, well air conditioned and properly laid out. The individual rooms were of a good size and well equipped with TV, Fridge, Hair Dryer, and phone. Once again efficient and quiet air conditioning was a feature. Our stay was from 13th to 20th August 2013. Room service was very good, - Honesty of staff was unintentionally tested when I dropped a 5 euro note under the bed, the money was duly returned by the maid as soon as she could find us. Excellant!
All staff appeared very happy and efficient. The whole atmosphere being " We want you to enjoy your stay!" The inclusive food and drinks were very good indeed and never in short supply. In short although I really wanted to be grumpy, I found it very difficult indeed. I suspect that I will need to return next year to check to see if standards have been maintained.
My only issue is the ridiculous "reserving" of all sun beds by the placing of towels on them 1st thing in the morning. Many families cheating by placing one lot for use in the morning sun and a second lot for use in the afternoon sun. Thus booking twice as many beds as were needed. Prime culprits? the British!
But that can not detract from the value for money and excellant quality of this hotel!

Me & the family always got a bed down at the kids splash pool every morning & we were never down that early! 3pools are great but we used the kids pool with the slides & park right nxt to it. Both my kids loved the pool & park. Food was nice you would never go hungry. Entertainment was ok. Kids mini disco. Bingo an sometimes a show. Rod stewart tribute. Parrot & Reptile show were good. Would deffo recomend this hotel to familys with kids especialy. Would go back again maybe in a couple yrs time! We stayed here for 2weeks 6-20 August this was our 2nd stay at the hotel, we found this to be a good family hotel and I can't understand why some people complain about room size, you only sleep there! Yes the food does repeat itself but dosnt this happen at home! We walked to magaluf and ate out along the sea front this was really nice, we also ate out in Palma nova along the sea front and watched the sun set behind the boats, the kids hired bikes and this kept them happy for an hour.
The entertainment team tried really hard to keep the kids and adults amused, they are on the go from 10.30 in the morning till 11 in the evening, my two really enjoyed the games and joined in everything. I don't think they would be able to please everybody and they have a tough job I wouldn't want to do it!!
We had no illness no bugs only an ear infection probably from the swimming pool. The only thing that is really true is the sun bed rush this got worse during the 2nd week, there's some really sad people who queue from before 6 in the morning, doors don't open till 8.30! The hotel is trying to address this but people reserve sun beds then don't use them YOU KNOW WHO ARE.
All in all a good holiday take all the reviews with a pinch of salt not everybody likes the same thing and everyone wants something different.
