We got a really cheap deal and did not expect it to be as nice as it was! Very central to lots of restaurants, pubs and beaches. Would definitely come again! If you do need to buy food, get it from the euroski store, about a ten minute walk away, much cheaper than the other stores.

Stayed here for the 2nd week of the Easter holidays with 2 children (5 & 7), self catering. This hotel is in a great location in Palma Nova, with only a 3-5 minute walk to the beach/bars/restaurants.
The rooms are a decent size and very modern. The kitchen area is small but was fine. The bathroom is a good size with a large "power" shower.
You may have read other reviews regarding the bathroom window and these are very true! Basically, there is a none-frosted (door size) window into the bathroom from the main room. The ONLY reason we could some up with, for it's existence, is to let natural light in to the bathroom. Other that this, it's just weird! The best idea we came up with, for some privacy, was to hang one of the large blankets over the shower door. Having said this, this would not stop us from returning.
The pool areas & gym are fantastic! Probably the best we have seen. Apart from the main pool, there are indoor pool's/sauna's and best of all, the children's pool area and slides.
As for restaurants, there is a great pizza/steak house on the front and we found a fantastic Indian restaurant called Tandoori Nights. We eat out a lot at Indian Restaurants and this was one of the best. We ate there twice in 5 nights! This is about a 5-10 min walk from the hotel.
The El Mecca Piano Bar (on the way to Tandoori Nights) is great too if you like homemade pizza's and baguettes etc. The staff always gave the children a toy car or a bracelet & lolly!
We hope to return again soon!!!

Just returned from a 9 night stay (15th-24th April) with my 2 daughters aged 9 and 11. We had a room (011) on the ground floor, and although the view was disappointing (we were hardly in the room), it was nice and peaceful on a night.

I cannot fault the hotel in any way, Check-in was quick and everything explained and the rooms were cleaned every day with fresh bedding and towels. The rooms had wood floorings rather than tiles which made a refreshing change, as I did not land on my backside exiting the shower as I have on past holidays ! The kitchen was equipped with plenty of pots, pans, plates etc.

No problem getting a sunbed, and there were loads of places to sit away from the pool if needed, although noise was not an issue as the smaller kids pools with the slides were at the front of the hotel.

The enteratinment for the kids was brilliant, 11-1 and then 3-5. My youngest Darcy was there every day and loved helping Adrianna and Bogi round up the little ones. My oldest joined in with the older kids and adults and all nationalities joined in. We never went to the evening entertainment as we were out having drinks and something to eat.

The location is 1st class. Its about 25 mins from the airport (35 euros in a taxi). A nice 5 min saunter and you are by the beach. Its about a 10 min walk to the main strip where all the bars are, and is well worth the trip (especially before it becomes jam packed) just to watch the stag and hen parties dressed up !

I cant wait to return again next year,

We stayed at the Rosa del Mar for nine nights between 15th and 24th April 2014 on a self catering basis (2 adults and 2 children age 7 & 10). The apartments are very modern with an impressive shower room and the small kitchenette is well equipped. The location is perfect near the beach, shops and a selection of restaurants. We did not have a pool view room but the alternate view was the spa and tennis courts of neighbouring hotel which offered a peaceful alternative and was beautifully sunny in the evening. The rooms were also cleaned and the beds made daily. The hotel has three pools, a splash pool for toddlers and the main pool where our kids spent most of their time and an indoor pool near the gym and spa. The real selling point for this hotel however is the staff that work there, we found everyone to be friendly and helpful, nothing was too much trouble. The entertainment staff Jonny (or superman as our kids got to know him), Moorinny, Adri and Bogi were so fantastic with the children and their enthusiasm appearing genuine and their ability to connect with the children endearing as our kids are usually quite shy. The children enjoyed a range of activities and got involved in archery, aqua aerobics, table tennis, painting and poolside games much to our delight. There was also regular evening entertainment for the smaller children in the form of a mini disco hosted by CoCo the Seahorse followed by a show, quiz or bingo, and although we didn't always stay in for the entertainment having been out walking after dinner we were always welcomed back by Jonny and co. who always high fived the kids and made conversation, asking if we had a good day/enjoyable evening etc. The kids were happy and we were relaxed....what more can you hope for. We can't wait to return. *****

This hotel is located in Palmanova, just between Son Di Matias (Palmanova) and Magaluf beaches. Matias beach is about 400 metres away, Magaluf beach maybe small bit farther.
Location seems to be perfect, as it's very close to any groceries or bars, but also in little bit more quiet area. Nearest shop is 3 minute walk away, same as pizza, grill, bars, etc. There is one larger swimming pool and also separate splash area for smaller kids including small slides and mini club. There is also indoor swimming pool, which looked nice too. All is well kept and maintained and really nice.

Pros:

- Location (close to everything, but not in the center of everything)
- Staff (polite, nice and helpful), both reception and waiting staff and cleaners too
- Nice rooms and modern and clean (rooms are apart hotel style, with sink, fridge, cook, microwave, some cutlery, etc.) - good if you prefer bit of self catering
- Nice walk in showers, large and clean
- Brilliant animation team for children (all 4 of them did tireless an great work throughout day and every night at 20:30 at mini disco, kids were delighted)
- Girl from animation team also does adults classes during day, yoga, water gym, etc.
- Brand new and quite well equipped (for hotel standards) gym - actually some decent weights there and decent machines, not like in other hotels where biggest dumbbell is usually 3 KG (here over 20 kg as well)
- On site sports facilities including professional grade looking cycling rental / shop, definitely worth checking for cyclists
- Nice food, nothing too mind blowing, but definitely OK at this price point, we were half board so breakfast was nice standard stuff and dinner was also quite standard food, now and then something more fancy (nice salmon another day)

Cons (Not too many really!!):

- rooms could be more sound proof - you can hear neighbors, children crying sometimes, etc. this is no problem for me, as have own children so I know how it is, but just saying for those who are being woken up at the sound of whisper :)
- bit more variety with food selection and mid-day snacks selection (apparently it gets better in the season as they have additional grill bar open etc)

There isn't much to complain about Rosa Del Mar, especially at this price point.
If you have young children then you cannot go wrong with this hotel, if you are couple it still has plenty to offer, especially if you're into sports (gym, cycling, tennis...).
It's not best hotel I've ever been to, but probably best at this price point, I have been to some more expensive and much worse. Also it's one of the best hotels I've been to in general experience - so take this as best recommendation and book there quick :-)

Special regards to animation team - again brilliant work (sorry keep forgetting your names, but bit of "afro" hairstyle guy, Superman costume guy, tall blonde girl and smaller dark hair girl).

THANKS

This hotel has been modernised but not to a high standard,IKEA comes to mind, looks nice at the moment but furnishings and fittings will soon start to look grubby, would not return because of this.Pool area was clean but small, umbrellas had to be asked for and a refundable deposit is required. You can hire an iron and an ironing board but it's a table top ironing board(useless). We found the hotel to be extremely noisy, everything seems to echo around the hotel, could hear people in rooms next door,no carpets in hallways so could hear people walking and dragging their cases, hotel entertainment noisy.Chidren seemed to be well catered for.Unable to comment on food we were room only.Did have some English channels but could not always get them.Beds comfortable,no drawer space and no place for products in bathroom, only mirror is in bathroom.Take your own hairdryer theirs is a hold the button down one with only one heat setting(very hot).We only stayed for 4 nights, prefer to have a bit more luxury, this is more like a 3 star.Staff were helpful and polite.Air conditioning poor.

Room Tip: Ask for high floor to be as far away as possible from entertainment.

Pros: Everything you'd hope for (for FAMILY groups)... superior / new pool areas, lovely professional staff, clean, good value, entertainment, close to a good beach, close to lots of restaurants and shops close by, cheap bar, Upholstered loungers!, Pancakes freshly cooked at breakfast!!!
Cons: Food is along the "all inclusive" type - could be better, packet butter revolting.

But, we will def go again....

Nearby kebab street bar is amazing...
