Stayed at the Cala Blanca at the end of August. Had a lovely stay for 8 nights. The staff were all friendly and welcoming. The sun- bed situation mentioned in other reviews can be annoying .as you have to be up early to get one in a prime position.. The hotel is International so be prepared for many diferent types . The food was excellent ,varied and plentiful, buffet style and all the staff in the restaurant could not do enough to help you . Room was spacious , we stayed in a Balcony room ( well worh paying more for the sea view, as would not have liked to have been on the back of the hotel facing a busy street .) We had a great stay and I would highly recommend anyone to be a guest of this hotel .My only complaints were the size of the fridge in the bedroom , smallest i have ever seen and a noisy air conditioning unit in the bedroom , I would defininitely stay here again.

My partner and I have just returned from 1 weeks holiday at the hotel Sol Cala Blanca in Palma Nova an adults only hotel(which for us was a bonus) we thought the food was incredible and nicely presented in a buffet style, the selection was second to none we counted 16 different types of fish during the week. The staff were all very friendly in particular Lorena the Entertainments organiser the bedrooms & corridors are a little dated but this will be rectified as these areas are due for refurbishment during the winter months. The pool area was fine but you do need to be down early to be sure of a sunbed.what was good you could just cross the promenade and you were on the beach.

Room Tip: sea view would be worth the extra money street side of the hotel can be noisy at night

We have stayed here many times, but on our last visit a year ago, we were disappointed by the food and the general appearance of the hotel.

This year, the pool deck and foyer had been beautifully refurbished, there are lots more sunbeds, and, in the evening the entertainment area looks fabulous with uplighters and downlighters in the trees. We had our after dinner drinks there every evening as opposed to going to one of the nearby bars.

The food also seemed much nicer and there was different showcooking every dinnertime. The fish is freshly cooked and is varied nightly.

The staff seemed much happier in their new environment and were cheerful and chatty. The new entertainment manager, Lorena, was particularly pleasant.

Altogether it was a great holiday and we will certainly go back. They are closing for a few months to refurbish the dining room etc. and I can't wait to see it!

Our fourth visit and the downstairs reception area and dining area on terrace has had a makeover which makes it look so spacious and modern. Love the rooms in this hotel they are very big compared to other hotels in Majorca. Safe a bit pricey 25 euros but you get 5 euros back when you hand in key and receipt. Rooms clean and the maids are lovely, no tea or coffee making facilities in room. Large balcony. We had room overlooking street as they have sun all day, sea view is lovely though but you won't get the sun, food fantastic, we ate out on terrace for breakfast and evening meal , views stunning, palma nova beach is gorgeous. The hotel having more refurbishment during winter months , best looking hotel in palma nova . People always taking photos of the hotel entrance as it looks so grand

Room Tip: We always ask for high floor as there are palm trees growing on either side of hotel

This was our first time to stay at this hotel and both my wife and I found it to be delightful. The food (breakfast) couldn't have been more varied and the staff are excellent in their manner and service. The room although a little dated and worn was cleaned each day of our seven day visit and the road facing room offered great relaxing sunshine in the afternoon and evening. Don't bother with the sea-view rooms, they are not worth the supplement. The internet access was a let down with no wi-fi available and a charge of 2 euro for fifteen minutes for a standard pc connection which is expensive as wi-fi is becoming free and available in restaurants and hotels practically everywhere in Europe. A pleasant surprise for us was one day we went to our room to find the management had given us a bottle of champagne and some fruit as they had noted from my wife's passport that it was her birthday. Well done and great PR. We will certainly be going back. One thing we noticed about Palma Nova is that it has become more and more expensive for food and drink in the local bars and cafés, over tha last three to four years and particularly a restaurant called Pittzarella that had the audacity to include the four olives and bread roll which was on our table, to our bill, for 3.50 euro. I didn't complain as it was my wife's birthday and I didn't wish to spoil the evening.Sharp practice by any standard and a restaurant we will not be visiting again. however with the VAT rates increasing in Spain they might just be pricing themselves out of business. The Sol Cala Blanca is well worth a visit and we would certainly recommend it,

Hi, I'm a 32 year old man from London who stayed here for 7 nights in August 2012 with my fiancee and a couple of our friends. As a frequent visitor to Palma Nova, I can safely say we all loved it and decided we would definitely stay again next time. The location is spot on for the beach and surrounding restaurants and bars and only a 10 minute walk into Magaluf for the most ardent of party-goers!. All of the staff are welcoming, polite and friendly especially the bar staff Diego and Guillan. The Adult only rule makes this a gem of a hotel as there are no screaming kids, running around or jumping in and out of the pool which only goes to make this more appealing and much more of a relaxing place to stay. The rooms are big and clean and easily accesible from either the lifts or central stairwell. I would definitely recommend this hotel and am already planning my next visit.

Room Tip: we had a room that was facing the street and can assure you was never affected by any traffic or lou...

This adult only hotel is in a really good location with easy access to the beach and a promenade area and also to the main areas of Palma Nova.

The hotel is clean, tidy and spacious and has both indoor and outdoor pools, poolside snack bar as well as a large restaurant with both indoor and outdoor terrace seating and a stylish bar.

There are a limited number of poolside sunbeds and sadly people do actually 'book' them all day through securing with towels first thing! That said I found the beach to be a much nicer place to relax and sunbathe and this is easily accessible by crossing the promenade from the poolside area.

The rooms are large, with air conditioning and are very comfortable with separate seating and TV. The bathroom was adequate with bath and shower and wc.

Both breakfast and dinner in the hotel are good quality buffets, with food being freshly prepared to restock when needed. There is a wide array of options available to suit most palates (including my vegetarian preference to food).

Evening entertainment is provided on a nightly basis for those that wish to enjoy it. There is also a program of morning exercises such as yoga, aqua aerobics and stretching.

Although not a great fan of Palma Nova, I would stay in this hotel again if I was in this part of the world!

Room Tip: Facing the beach has a better view. Rooms facing the road have a close-up of palm fronds
