There's not a lot more I can add to the numerous reviews that have already been posted. Today is the last day of our two weeks here and we really dont want to go home. The location is stunning, the food is fantastic and Marc and his team have made us feel extremely welcome.

You can judge the quality of an establishment by the number of repeat guests. Finca Son Palou has lots and lots of these and we will be adding ourselves to this list.

We had a lovely holiday at this hotel. It was everything we had hoped for and more. The hotel is situated in a beautiful position giving beautiful views and vistas in every direction. Our room also had a lovely view overlooking the apple , cherry and olive tree plantations up the valley. We could also see where we had been walking the hotels own trails set in the estate of the finca.
The restaurant and breakfast room served excellent food every day and we really looked forward to dinner al fresco.
ALL the staff were kind, attentive and knowledgeable and nothing was too much trouble for them.
All in all one of the best holidays we have ever had and we will definitely be visiting this finca and its beautiful countryside again.!!

Have just come back from a glorious week of peace and quiet at Finca Son PalouOrient. It was our second visit and we plan to make it an annual one! This is the place to chill out and get away from the hustle and bustle of life. The service is excellent. Food good - Mediterranean and simple in style. There is one other restaurant nearby which we went to on two of our nights just for a change of scenery. We go to relax, no driving just sitting by the pool reading and the odd walk in the surrounding countryside. And it is only a thirty minute drive from the sirport If you want peace and quiet this is the place .

We stayed four nights in June and loved the location. Very quiet and a wonderful break. The food is fresh, local Mediterranian cuisine and the service is excellent. We will be back next year. Of the four top hotels we stayed at this year on the island, this was the pick of the bunch.

Finca Son Palou was the second of three small hotels we stayed at in Majorca in July. We loved just about everything about this place. The location and views are simply stunning. Orient is a tiny and well-preserved village, with stone cottages sitting close by to the village Church and the Finca itself. It was lovely to be able to walk through a private gate from the Finca into the village. The Finca itself had a fascinating history. Remains of the olive mill are still visible, and the accompanying estate with its cherry orchards is lovely. We had a well laid out first floor room overlooking the Tramuntana Mountains, and Finca grounds. We liked the fact the room was modern, and well laid out and not austere or claustrophobic as in some historic hotels; also this was a view to die for with no buildings on view other than the spectacular unspoiled natural landscape. The Finca has well manicured gardens, a modest but perfectly sized infinity pool, and some easy local walks - the stroll we took was along a small river valley which as it was in summer was as dry as a bone. To quaff a glass of Cava, contemplate the sun setting behind the mountains, and hear the distant sound of goat-bells was a truly magical experience. Add to the fabulous setting the superb meals on offer. Exquisite and imaginative starters followed by hearty traditional Mallorcan dinners, washed down with selected local wines. In a nutshell Finca Son Palou is as close to perfection as a home-from-home can be; the staff were lovely, the location is wondrous, the food and wine first-class. We cannot recommend this delightful place highly enough.

Room Tip: Our room overlooked the valley away from the village and so faced to the north. It seemed like a mod...

We've just returned from our seventh stay at Son Palou and we were not disappointed. Unlike some places we've returned to, Son Palou gets better each time. As usual, Marc and his team made our stay so comfortable that we didn't want to leave. We usually stay in spring or autumn, to take advantage of the wonderful walking country, but early July was just too hot to explore the fabulous Orient valley; nevertheless the hotel was delightful. The pool is never very busy even though the hotel was full and we spent a very relaxing time swimming and reading in the splendid surroundings. The food is very special, as is the friendly, happy service. Although you need a car to get to the hotel, and the road from Alaro is a bit bendy, transport links to Palma are good from the railway station at Alaro/Consell, so park there and catch the train for the twenty-minute trip to the cosmopolitan city of Palma. It really is a wonder, with good cultural centres (especially the Fundacio Pilar y Joan Miro) and Splendid shopping and places to eat.

For people who want a restful, relaxing holiday in a very special hotel, I would recommend Son Palou.

This was my fourth stay in this truly amazing finca, and it will not be my last - that speaks for itself! It is hard to describe how unique it is, I have never experienced anywhere else like it. Even if the hotel is busy, somehow you feel you have the place to yourself, as the rooms and grounds are so well laid out. The views are breathtaking and the tranquility helps you switch off and unwind; it is hard to believe you are only half an hour away from the more lively Mallorcan resorts! It is the staff who put this hotel into a league of its own - discreet yet helpful and friendly and a special mention for Toni who has to best waiter ever!
