My boyfriend and i went for 10 night stay half-board and we paid £680 for the two of us. It was our 1st holiday as a couple so we had very high hopes and on arrival we weren't disappointed. The hotel was pristine and believe me I'm hard to please. The staff were very welcoming especially the personal greeting you got every morning / evening when entering and leaving the restaurant. The food was faultless, everything you could imagine was there, glad i went on a strict diet before hand so i could eat to my hearts content.
Our room was cleaned 'every single day' by the time we got back from breakfast by a lovely maid called maria - Fresh bedding and towels throughout our stay, fantastic! We stayed in room 503 and not being biased but think it was the best room in the house he-he.
As we went slightly off peak we had no problem with getting sunbeds by the pool, but as lovely as the pool was we found the private sun terraces more to our luxury. especially the bottom one which gave you the option to dip in and out of the gorgeous warm inviting sea.
Ok so this hill.. yeah its a bit steep but after your 1st attempt you'll become a natural. i managed the hill in 4 inch heels so its not that bad! other alternative you can always catch a cheap as chips taxi - problem solved!
We were very impressed with the hotel's location right in the centre but out of the lime light at the same time if you know what i mean. The beach is just minutes away and what a lush beach it was. we spent the majority of our days catching the endless rays there- higher a pedalo too it's great fun.
All in all an outstanding place to stay and don't listen to any negative reviews take my word for it we cant wait to go back .

Hotel Florida was amazing, exceeding all of our expectations. We went as a group of 4 girls all 18 july 7-14th and were extremely impressed. When we arrived by coach and checked in we were offered a safe which was 12 euros+ 3 euros deposit (keep the reciept otherwise u don't get the deposit back, even though you have the key!) We requested 2 rooms next to each other and were given this so very happy. The safes were very big so both rooms shared one, working out at 3 euros each, not bad for security of our things. Not that we needed to worry about that, we never heard of any problems and felt completely safe all the time. Air con and the TV was free, with BBC1, ITV, ITV2 and ITV4.
The cleaners were lovely and chatted to us, leaving us sweets on our duvets. They came every morning to clean, empty bins, replace towels and make the bed. The only complaint i would have is that the sheets weren't changed throughout our 1 week stay, so by the end they didn't feel as nice. The other staff were really nice, helping us out one night at 3am when we were lcoked out!

The worst thing about the hotel was that we were staying on the first floor above the terrace area and the pool. The roof to this was the same height as our balcony which meant people on that floor could climb over the balcony and walk along to other balconies. Although this was okay for us as it meant we could get into our friends room, we didn't really like the thought of other people being able to do it. Having said that i never saw or heard anyone from other rooms doing this...
View from the room was incredible, nearly all balconies bar about 10 face the sea and to the right is the view of magaluf.

The pool was a decent size although at times felt too busy. There were plenty of sunbeds and when we didn't come down to the pool until about 2 we could always get at least 2 sunbeds. We saw the cleaner cleaning every morning and 2 gardeners who keep the area looking nice. Down about 20 steps was a private rocky cliff area with a long ladder going down into the sea which was really nice and hardly ever used. when speaking to a few people round the pool we found out the Florida is a chain of a few hotels and the only one of them to have a pool, therefore the other hotels can come and use it too, which sometimes was annoying as they were the rowdy people.

breakfast and dinner was fantastic, with so much choice in the buffet. half of it was salads, pastas etc and the other half cooked food. Every night there was a choice of about 5 meat dishes along with the chef special. As a vegetarian i did find it hard to find cooked food suitable, and often had to have pizza and chips not out of choice. There were about 7 different desserts and lots of frest pineapple and water melon. Drinks are included at breakfast but not at dinner, which was annoying. The waiters get a bit annoying as they clear ur plate the second u've finished, and keep hold of cutlery else u have no chance of second helpings.

For us the location of Florida was perfect. Its on the headland so turn left out of hotel and ur near the main strip or turn right and ur in palma nova. Palma Nova beach is SO much nicer than Magaluf as we discovered magaluf has A LOT of rubbish in its waters and felt quite dirty whereas the other was lovely and only a 5 minute walk. We bought shade there too for a mere 3 euros. the hill down into Magaluf isn't as bad as you may think from other reviews, but by the 4th night does get tiresome, there are shops up it though if you need a break! The hill is actually really good because it acts as a divide from the main strip, so no-one ventures up there unless they have to, making Floridas location quite quiet yet close. its only about a 3 min walk to the main strip, which during the day has loads of shops. when walking past some other hotels, i felt very glad not to be stuck there.
The Florida is suitable for everyone, there were a real mix of ages and just as many families and couples as there were young groups.
BCM and Buffalos are the best clubs to check out.

I have recently returned from a 7-Day trip with 5 of my friends from this hotel. We all had a great time and were all satisfied with the Hotel. We were slightly apprehensive about our stay after reading numerous negative reviews on this site, however were pleasantly suprised of the quality on our arrival. The receiption staff the mainly lovely (there was one guy who seemed rude and unhelpful at times) but all the others were very helpful. The rooms were what we expected, we had 2 rooms, each with 3 beds in. There was plenty of room - even for 3 young party animals getting ready for an evening out! The bathroom was lovely and clean, and fresh towels were provided by the cleaners each day. After reading reviews about people having money stolen, we used the room safe, which was 15 euros for the week. Definately worth the money as it put our minds at rest whilst we were out. The views from our balcony were amazing! Beautiful scenery. The pool area was lovely, plenty of room and down a few steps, there was access into the sea which I would definately reccomend taking a dip in! However, if you would like a sun lounger byt the pool - get you towel on one in the morning, as they go fast! Around 10am was the time we 'reserved' ours with the towels! Just by the pool was the bar, and a seating area where lunch and drinks were served. The lunch menu was satisfactory with plenty of selection, and all reasonably priced, again drinks were reasonably priced also. We received fantastic service from the bar staff by the pool - they were always pleasant and efficient and had a great sense of humour! We stayed half board, so breakfast and lunch was provided, contrary to some reviews on the site, we were very impressed with the selection and quality! At breakfast there was a selection of cereals, yoghurts, pastries and hot food, and at dinner the selection was again, great. There was a huge salad bar, and each night a different special which was always lovely. The puddings were always yummy, and there was always plenty of fresh fruit every night. The restaurant staff were lovely and friendly and very efficient at tidying away our plates. We had a great view from our table - we were seated right next to the window, and had lovely views whilst we were eating. Also- anyone who says the hill is big up to the hotel - MAN UP! Its nothing! Cannot believe people had written on here that they got taxis up it! It literally takes a few minutes to walk up it from the strip, and we were barely out of breath at the top - do not be put off by the hill! Overall we had a great stay, and would stay here again!

After reading all the reviews about the Florida, we were slightly apprehensive about our stay here, so if you have read all the crap reviews IGNORE THEM! This place was brilliant. After a 3 hour delay we didnt get to the hotel till very late, we were allocated room 901 which was on the very top floor, we got to our room and were pleased with it, yes the rooms are warm but with the fan on and the patio door open, the sea breeze is very welcoming & the view from the balcony was amazing. Rooms are spotlessly clean and the maid came in every day, every room has a safe which they recommend you use, 12 euros and at the end of the week you get 3 euros back. Rooms could do with a fridge but that was the only negative.
Our next delight was breakfast, the choice was excellent, my girlfriend is the fusiest eater in the world but was able to have several helpings of most things, cheese and meats, cereals, fruits, yoghurts, pastries, boiled, fried & scrambled eggs, bacon & sausage (not british) beans, mushrooms, tomatoes, breads, toast, juices, tea, coffees and even milkshakes..............try getting that variety anywhere else, and apart from the sometimes dodgy sausage, it was all readily refreshed and piping hot (i work in a 4star deluxe hotel in cheshire and this was just as good but with lots more choice) We were allocated a table which we used for the duration of our stay, we had the odd people trying to sit on our table but these were rapidly moved on by the excellent staff (there were lots of stag & hens and groups of young people but not one bit of trouble or bad behaviour)
Dinner was pretty much the same, we were amazed at the choice and quality, every night was different, starters like fresh salads, terrines, dressed salmon, soup, fruit, meats and main courses like veal, hake, sole, cod, chicken breasts in white wine, pasta, paella, meatballs, carvery pork and lamb joints, chilli beef, pizza, burgers, sausage, chips, roast potatoes, sautee potatoes, fresh veg, cauliflower cheese........WOW the list goes on and on and you can go back as many times as you like, plenty of home made desserts, ice creams, fresh fruits and cheese table. There is definately something for everyone.
CARDIAC HILL was our only slight challenge, but to behonest it was noway near as bad as we thought (or some people had made out) there are great bars, restaurants and shops on the way up so plenty of excuses for a break, it does only take a couple of minutes to walk up the hill so dont worry!!
Magaluf strip was lively but also clean, a load of youngsters but also a good mix of family and elderly, the beach was really clean and lots of places for a light lunch and cold beer.

Stayed at the florida from the 30th june to 3rd July with 5 other friends-all between the age of 20-22. It was our first time in mallorca...magalluf, and we were a bit worried about what the resort would be like due to the yobbish youth we're always hearing about, but not bad at all, the florida is really close to the strip i.e the bars, but far enough where you can keep away from there. Yes the florida is on a steep heel, but its really not that bad, i read the reviews here before going and was expecting a 90 degree heel. But still brace yourself for a walk.We got to the hotel at 12 midday and were checked-in swiftly. According to the feedback they usually put the english and young in the side blocks but maybe we were lucky as we were put in the main hotel building. view from the room was second to none, absolutely fabulous! We were in room 101,102,103. For the main building there are only two lifts, one takes 4 people, the other takes 6, so we constantly had to go down in two lots, but not really a problem. The bedrooms are spacious, and the bathrooms are adequate. The cleaner (very friendly) cleans and changes the towels everyday usually while your at breakfast. We went half-board and were really happy with the food, very good selection and something for everyone, especially evening meals, which varied during our stay so we had a different meal every night, it included things like mash pototoe, beef in stew (which was superbly cooked),pizza(freshly made in front of you) steak, chicken, fish, chips, mushrooms etc can't remember them now but there was alot, and the deserts section was really nice too. Breakfast was a bit repetitive but not their fault, theres only so much that can be served and am sure its the same in all the hotels, they had selection of pastries, cakes, boilded egg, scrambles egg, fried egg, toast, hame, chicken, cheese, tomatoe, yorghurt, fruit, suasges, bacon, baked beans etc. You can get drinks as part of your breakfast but must pay for them in the evening. The hotel does sme form of eneterntainment twice a week, i'd have prefer more, as the other hotels seemed to constantly have something on every night. Customer service really good. Internet service expensive, 1 euro per 15 mins. if you need to print anything, reception will do it it for free. theres a pool table and a ping-pong table in the hotel. Swimming pool is small,we didn't use it as the beach is just a few minutes walk away. There is the usual sunbed savers, who put their towels on the beds till past day even though their not using it, but there was always still space, am guessing peak time, its be a battle to get one. Theres a bar in the hotel which looks nice and terrace is nice place to laze around. At around five you can expect to hear the party goers coming back drunk and screaming at the top of their voices but staff quickly shut them up,which there are never happy with, they start complaining about being victimized by the security guard but thats not really true, security is just trying to make sure everyones elses holiday is not ruined by the shouting of these selfish 'people'. We got a safe which cost 12 euro for 4 days, you get a 3 euro deposit back. You can hire an iron for 15 euro for the week. Our flight left late so we used the hotel luggage service, which is free, they have a luggage room for your things and you are allowed to continue using the hotel facilities.Hotel is within easy reach to everything, my friends and i walked to western park-nice water park, and to golf fantasia. BCM is round the corner, xtreme buggys, go karting, aqualand, house of katamunda and loads of shops, all whithin easy reach. For this hotel,i paid £30 a night, and for the two meals a day and teh bedroom,tv,hot water, cleaning service, i'd say it was definately value for money. people that complain should pay more so they have the right to expect more. some people are just too hard to please..gosh! Anyway, loved the hotel and feel that it was money well spent.
