Me & my husband have just returned from a 4 night break to celebrate our 3rd wedding anniversart, this is the 3rd time we've been to Magaluf for our anniversary and 4th time in total and of the 4 hotels we've stayed in this is the only one we've said we wouldn't return to. comparing it to the 2 other 4*'s we've stayed at (Antillas and Atlantic) the flamboyan caribe is very poor in comparison.
The location is perfect, right on the beach front and right at the top of the strip (poco-loco end). the room was of decent size but was a bit dissapointing that we'd paid for a upgrade so although we got a sea view room which had a view that was beautiful it was still 2 single beds, small balcony and nothing to really give it the wow factor. Fridges were on offer but you had to pay 5euro a night for it which in a 4* if they've got them we felt they should be in room free of charge. There was only 2 lifts for the 6 floors, and as we were on the 6th floor we were often waiting a while!
The food was very very basic, I have honestly had far better in 3*hotels, we were only there for 4 nights but still decided to eat out 1 of the nights, breakfast was the best meal, snacks were poor (and also there wasn't any snacks between b'dast-lunch and dinner-midnight which when your all inclusive snacks are supposed to be available all day till midnight!) lunch & tea were average and repeitive.
Staff were very very petty...(apart from reception staff who were very helpful and friendly)...it sometimes felt as tho we were being stalked by the man who insisted on shirts on in the hotel, no filling water bottles up, no sand or wet body's in the hotel...honestly he was a joke, he'd follow ypu round the hotel almost waiting to find something to moan about! the fact that we were all inclusive and not allowed to fill our water bottle up was ridiculous, so in the end we used to get 4 cups of water and pur them into our bottle....how silly. Maybe the water situation wouldn't seem so bad if it was easier to get a drink whilst round the pool or the sea but if, and that's a big if, you could get a bed around the pool (there was only about 30 for the whole hotel!) there was no pool bar and you wasn't allowed in the hotel wet so you had to dry off, get dresses and trek up 2 flights of stairs to get a drink!!...worse still, if you were on the beach, which we ended up doing every day because the beds around the pool were all covered in towels by 8.30am!!! to get a drink we'd have to dry off, de-sand, get dressed, walk across the beach, up 2 flights of hotel steps then 2 flights of steps to the bar to get a drink...and to rub salt in the wound they had a beach bar....but all inclusive guests had to pay..even for water!!!!!! what a joke. It was almost like they had no pool beds so people had to go to the beach and then they'd buy drinks from the beach bar making the hotel even more money, rubbish service in my opinion.
This is the only A Inc hotel i've ever stayed at that stops the A inc service at 11pm. The entertainment was nothing to write about, a bunch of spanish dancers doing a pretty bad job. the last thing that really bothered me was that the evening meal finished at 9pm, this is fine for when we go away with our 2 young children but for a hotel in magaluf which is mainly groups of young people, 9pm is pretty early, i'd much rather have been able to eat till10pm ish, but with it being 9pm it meant you had to leave the beach while it was still hot to give you time to shower/change etc.
All in all, this was in my opinion a average 3*hotel and certainly isn't worthy of its 4* status, unless a hotel can be rated purely on its location. we will be returning to Magaluf next year but will not return to this hotel..oh and 1 last thing which is maybe a bit petty on my side (maybe the staff's ways have rubbed off on me) i sent a email letting the hotel know it was our anniversary as i have done the following 2 years, the 2 other hotels have acknowledged this with either a card/basket fruit/bottle bubby and chocs but flamboyan didn't in any way show any acknowledgment of our anniversary, not that we expect something but surely a table set up nicely for a special occasion or a bottle of the wine they use isn't to much to ask on a customer service point of view!!!!

We have the all inclusive as an option and are descriped by agencies as "all inclusive bronze" .
which means that we offer free drinks in bar from 11 am to 11 pm and full board with drinks ( self service ) included. The supplement from halfboard to all inclusive ( depending on season ) has a cost an extra cost of "12 to 25 Euros per day" : This includes "ALL DRINKS" 12 hours a day and all drinks during lunch and dinner and of course the "daily buffet lunch" !! So we feel that this is a fair price for a fair offer. We are not in the Caribbean !! We have the same costs as other EU countries !!
Also please see the point of view of the Hotel: many clients are just asking for upgrades, special events, anniversary, etc. etc. etc. but always asking this for free... This is very difficult to fullfill !
But normally we try to ... in this case I am sorry but I was not aware of this special request of the clients... We want to improve and are happy to recieve your comments.

We travelled as a hen party - most of the group relocated to another hotel 10 mins walk away as they arrived the day after us and Flamboyan was overbooked.
Flamboyan is a good hotel. Our rooms had seaviews which were lovely. The rooms are a decent size and well equipped with decent sized bathrooms.
We were on B&B basis and the breaskfast food was also very good.
The hotel is in a good position if you want the beach and the crazy nightlife of the strip. Despite the fact that we had sea facing rooms the nightlife spilled over onto the beach and the promenade which runs between the hotel and the beach. Very entertaining!
We did not go to bed till 3.30 ourselves but were kept awake long after this.
If you are under 25 and want to be close to the action this is the place for you. If you want some peace and sleep then look for another hotel at the other end of Magaluf!

Please be aware that if you book a family room with a sea view you are not garanteed to get it. When approaching the manager and hotel reception they were not bothered about customer service or satisfaction.
We were 2 girls paid full price for all inclusive and just shoved in an annexe by the side.
this hotel as gone down hill in the last 2 years.
Please be aware of the beach side of the hotel at night, have seen police beating a man up and prostitutes are in the shadows.not the safest.

The price/quality is not good!
The all inclusive description is misleading because it is not all inclusive, and the food has no variety and just a few drinks at the bar are included, and are not the best course!
While there are some nice employees, other than not really.
Cleaning is the one that is well made!
There is too much noise at night. Is an area with plenty of movement without limits ...

Before I start if you are going here as couple or with your family dont - simple its designed for hen/stag parties or young people out to get drunk and soak up sun and to behonest if your goint to Magaluf thats what you get.

The hotel meets it standard, clean ok rooms, the biggest downside to this hotel is the arkward staff and honestly if i worked there i would prob be arkward with all the loud brits giving them a hard time.

We went on hen do with 10girls and the hotel was full of groups of hen and stag parties all having fun, i was horrified when people with kids were in the hotel as we all know hen and stag do's get dressed up in this kinda place and get very drunk. Litterly out of the hotel and round the corner is the centre.

The food was ok, we were all inclusive so ate there a lot and towards end of hols had started eating out and i was simply bored with the selection - nothing wrong with it.
