“lovely rustic food”
Reviewed September 12, 2012

Ate here on our last night and enjoyed every minute. The food service and atmosphere certainly met our expectations looking at previous reviews. The Pan am oli starter is easily enough for 2 and the steak was tender and huge (unfortunatly a little fatty ) The lamb was very tasty but would have appreciated a little longer cooking as it didnt quite fall off the bone as expected. Too full for dessert but the sangria went down very well...well done and a lovely end to our holiday

“Great service and good local food”
Reviewed September 4, 2012

We've used Es Turo many times and we're always delighted by the service, views from the terrace and the food - the staff here will serve my wife potage (a winter vegetable broth) in the middle of the summer with only a hint of a smile (and maybe a raised eyebrow)!

We bumped into a chap we recognised as the the owner(?) leaving his house in the village one morning, verbally booked a table and arrived to find a lovely spot in a corner of the terrace set for us that evening - now that's service!

“Lovely, Lovely, Lovely”
Reviewed August 21, 2012

This is the Spanish restaurant we were looking for.
Amazing views from the tables in the main dining room are worth hanging out for!!. We arrived late without a reservation and yet were welcomed and served as regular and valued customers.

My fillet steak was divine...about 8oz of melt in the mouth best beef cooked "poco" with all the juices just sealed in a tasty browning. My husband had the Sole Meuniere which he prounounced as being Sole Yummierre!! Complimentary shots of spanish limoncello with our coffees rounded off a lovely evening in this most spanish of spanish restaurants.
I would probably book next time but will absolutely choose to visit again and so should you.

“paella heaven.”
Reviewed August 7, 2012

We always stay in Fornalutx at least twice a year and when there this is where we eat.
The reason s are simple.
The food (especially the paella)
The staff
The views
The Mallorcan wine.
What more do you need.

“The atmosphere wins you over”
Reviewed August 1, 2012

Certainly we've had finer meals, but the atmosphere and views are very special. My husband had chicken which he described as "fine" I had the traditional Mallorcan Cod and it was good. Our service was good as well. Being Americans living in Europe, we've completely lowered our expectations in terms of service, which may not be a good thing, but we find we enjoy going out more when we don't expect the kind of service we get at home. We had just arrived in Mallorca and settled into our hotel in Fornalutx, so the walk over to Es Turo was magical, adding to the fun we had dining that evening.
