“Lovely small hotel in central Deia”

What a lovely hotel, was made to feel very welcome. Lovely room, it's not a lavish hotel but their is something about it that gives it charm and appeal. Would certainly stay here again. I did miss a warm breakfast, was pleased they had UK TV. Very pleased with this hotel and would stay again.

Very nice small hotel in Deia. Comfortable rooms and excellent service. No traffic noise and free parking.

Room Tip: High up on the pool side.

The hotel looks very old. But it's restored. Bed and bath is like new and everything works well. The only one person of the staff we meet there, was correct and helpful. Breakfast is good and always quickly filled up. The door from the buffet to the seating area outside has chain curtain to keep the flies away. This makes a little difficult if you hold plates and cups. There are few parking spaces for free a little more up the street, which were marked green for residences. The hotel is in the village, but very quiet during the night. No problem to sleep with open window. Overall, the hotel is nice but nothing special. We don't have any complains and can recommend the hotel

We stayed here in September, after a few lovely days up at Fornalutx. We booked relatively late, prior to our trip and booked what was available at the hotel 'an apartment new redecorated in the villa annex of the hotel', which was OK. However, the villa annex of the hotel was 300 metres, at the far end of a different street completely; the idea of using the hotel facilities was ludicrous! The staff were perplexed when I voiced my reasoned compliments and nothing was offered by way of loss. So, while the hotel looked lovely (and I think I'd have enjoyed staying there) we never got to experience it really. The next time someone offers you an annex, best clarify what they mean, precisely!

The location is great. Almost on top of the mountain near the church.
The hotel looks beautiful and in place with dark green shutters and some kind of yellow painted bricks. Next door a very small supermarket for drinks (wich you can put in the fridge in your room) and ice creams and five minutes walk downhill to the main street and bus stop. Stayed here three nights in September and had fantastic weather.
The swimming pool, with view towards the Tramutana Mountains is one you will never forget.
This is a big plus for this small hotel. My room was nr.6 on the second floor. No balcony or terrace, but double doors with shutters. Seaview, mountainview it was all there. I paid eur92 (single traveler) per night incl. breakfast. Buffet breakfast was very good and almost half the table was filled with fresh fruit. Plates with big slices of local cheese and jamon.
There is a breakfast room inside and a big terrace (with that view!!) outside.

As others already mentioned...do not expect staff walking around or staff chatting with customers about whatever. The staff I met in the hotel were not spanish and, although very friendly, not with outgoing personalities.
You have to be an independent traveler here. Its not a small family run place either.
There is a Manager but you will not often see him around.

From the airport you can take a taxi to Deia (around 40km) but do expect to pay around eur45.
You can also take the local Airport bus Line 1 to Plaza Espanya (busstation) in Palma (eur2,00). The busstop can be found opposite the Parking area outside the Arrival hall.
Plaza Espanya is the first stop after passing the Pink building on the right side when in Palma.
When you get out here you walk to the glass covered building and go down with stairs or elevator. You will first pass the train station and when you continue walking you will find the underground busstation. The bus to Deia does not go frequently!! So do check when making a daytrip there. Bus 210 direction Valdemossa-Deia cost eur2,70 and will take almost an hour.
Its worth the trip because the scenery along the way is breathtaking.

I will return to Deia and also to Hotel des Puig.

Room Tip: Room with terrace (view towards Tramuntana Mountains)

Just got back from a wonderful stay. We loved the pool, very peaceful and relaxing. Good place to just get away, you don't need a car. Good walk to the beach, but worth it. Very easy on the bus (210) from Palma/Airport, also 20 mins by bus (210) to Soller, you can then get the train back to Palma. We will be back!

Room Tip: We had room 8 at back with mountain view, but all rooms we are sure are lovely!
