We went mainly because of the Michelin Guide rating - and we were definitely not disappointed.

The hotel is not a modern five-star fancy place: what they offer is better (and somehwat more casual). The building and vegetation seem to have symbiotically grown over the years. Beautiful views, an amazing big tree in the middle of the breakfast terrace surrounded by the rocky green hills and sea, which is a treat (no wonder Michael Douglas or whoever got a house there).

The pool is great, but the hotel's "beach" - a private bit of rocky coast, with perfect access to the crystal water, and private corners with loungers and a casual snack bar for lunch - is beautiful.

I feel reluctant to rave too much, because it would be nice if not too many people start going, but I should also mention that we were perfectly happy about the food. I've just come back from the Abama in Tenerife, which is theoretically of higher quality (being a proper five-star etc), but pales in comparison.

What a fantastic find in a fabulous location. Such a peaceful, welcoming hotel a must for the discerning traveller. Close to a delightful village full of delicious restaurants. So peaceful. Can't wait to return.

Room Tip: Choose a balcony room in the main building.

My husband and I hiked from Valldemosa to Deia, planning to stay in Es Moli for the night and continue hiking to Soller. For the price, we expected something clean, nice, but basic. I thought this a great value, because it it set on a ridge looking of over the ocean making it one of the prettiest settings in the area. Deia is beautiful, and Es Moli takes full advantage. The staff were friendlt, and helpful in pointing us to the start of our next hike. The rooms were comfortable and very nice. A gem!

Room Tip: WE paid extra for a room with a balcony. If the weather is nice, this is a good idea, as the view i...

We booked to go to Es Moli 5 days before going so was apprehensive without an introduction from someone we knew, but followed the tripadvisor reviews and were not dissapointed!
Comfortable rooms, we had one with a balcony, well worth the extra as you can enjoy the wonderful views sipping a drink or having a cup of tea, or reading and relaxing. Beds comfy and large, plenty of space in the room, two good armchairs, and a very good bathroom, I like a bath so pleased to find one there. Take tea bags and your own coffee, the coffee in the hotel is not good, it was ok by the pool, but if you are fussy about coffe then you won't like the restaurant coffee. So we made our own when we wanted it and had tea at breakfast. The breakfast is very good.
Very friendly helpful staff, made our stay really enjoyable.
Beautiful gardens to get lost in and find a place to sit and read, also many areas around the pool. Although the area where the loungers are around the pool are very close to the pool. Eating around the pool was lovely, we had a couple of lunches there under the trees it was delicious and a perfect setting.
Going to the beach is great, a bus goes to and fro to a private beach, or rocks really, plenty of places to settle down on loungers and swim in the lovely clear water. They have a bar which serves lunch which was excellent, under pine trees, really pretty. Es Moli is a short attractive walk into Deia, you can also walk into Cala Deia which is lovely. Really nice to be near the town to go out for dinner in the evenings, we did not eat in the hotel, it's expensive and a typical hotel atmosphere, we prefer to vary our eateries! We had a car but it's not necessary at Es Moli.

Room Tip: Balcony rooms are lovely. Main block rooms are lighter with better views, the other block is probabl...

Peace and quiet in beautiful surroundings. If like us you enjoy walking, plenty here. Walk up the mountains from the Hotel. Down to the Deya beach along a lovely valley, into delightful Deya Village. Walk to the Hotel private beach Muletta along the coast, or take the Hotel bus, excellent service and enjoy the wonderful food served there for lunch. Take the bus to Soller and walk along the beach. Or laze in the stunning gardens and pretty pool area.

The quality of food, wine and service is second to none. Gala night was a lovely idea with Cava served all night. The staff were so attentive and professional and made our holiday perfect.
Our room was perfect with lovely views of garden and sea beyond, on a sunny late afternoon corner.

Only downfall was the arrival of a party of 40 lively youngsters who liked to stay up all night!!! Cannot understand why they chose to come to this quiet hotel for 2 nights.

Room Tip: Avoid 420 or 421, have to share a balcony, in a corner over looked by the lounge. Perfect if you kno...

the hotel from the outside and the landscaping and vegetation and location are stunning. so when you arrive you re happily surprised, BUT then as you enter alll the happy smiles are gone. the interior decor is distasteful, old, old fashioned, plastic flowers, the rooms just as awful, the breakfast in the morning was good, the variety was there, freshly squeezed juices, excellent espresso con leche, but i felt like i was in an old people's home. no one is younger than 65-70. Next, the rooms- oh my god, the bed' springs i could feel when i lied down, the pillows hard, the tv channels snowy, room service was only available after a while because they were understaffed. the downstairs bar only offers two types of wines, which tasted less than nice. i d give this hotel 2-3 stars and thats it. the beautiful picture you see up top with the beachchairs are old, some broken and rusty. we had lunch there and were served fish that was off. we got our food comped. anyway. we made the best of it and went next door to 'la residencia' to have dinner, beautiful ambience, excellent food , excellent service - the way we would have liked here at es moli, whoever is writing this hotel is excellent must be working for hotel or has 0 standards. chrissie, colorado , usa

The old-fashioned values of quality, reliability and service abound here. We found the long-serving staff absolutely charming, helpful and professional. Nothing is too much trouble and you are pampered from the moment you arrive.

Our immaculate room was cleaned thoroughly every day, the bathroom was well-ventilated, the air conditioning worked well and the effective free WIFI was a boon.

Since the Ca'n Quet chef Luis has been 'in house', the standard of cuisine has improved immensely and one now has the option of dinner A La Carte or a Tapas Bar (both al fresco) in the summer. We sampled all of these and also enjoyed the Menu Gourmand Buffet and the Gala Dinner-with-cava which alternated fortnightly, at no extra charge for half-boarders.

The 100ft swimming pool heated by re-cycling from the hotel's kitchens, was a delight. With its own fresh water supply from the Tramuntana mountains, a swim before breakfast was an ideal start to most days.

This time, we didn't use the sea-water treats of either the hotel's Muleta Cove or the Cala Deia, both of which have their own snack bars and are close by. We did, however, walk to Deia village (15mins) to sample one or two of the many eateries there.

More chinos than blue jeans here and it's unlikely you'll see a tattoo. Not really suitable for young children, but ideal for those of us who have worked hard and now need to relax.

We have stayed at many other hotels on the island (and indeed throughout the World) but we always return to the Es Moli. This season, the hotel has been virtually full for most of the time, so they must be doing SOMETHING right!

Room Tip: Try to have a room with a balcony on the front of the hotel. It will have a view from the sea, right...
