“Lovely spot”
Reviewed May 30, 2013

Last October we walked from Soller to Deia - a relaxed enough 3 hour walk - and rewarded ourselves with a long lunch in Sa Vinya. Both the walk and the lunch were so enjoyable that we decided to repeat the experience this May.
We were greeted by Justin who had hosted us last time and he treated us to the same courteous and efficient service as last time. A 3 hour walk in our book should be followed by a 3 hour lunch so we pulled out all the stops .A cold beer and aperol spritz refreshed us instantly. We chose a fabulous light fish consomme and juicy mussels as starters followed by mains of tender lamb shoulder and fabulous monkfish. Somehow we managed to find room for two delicious desserts, a parfait and a Mallorcan speciality. A very nice bottle of Caules Tinto accompanied the meal and some good coffee ended it. As we had no intention of walking back to Soller and had a little time before the bus, some hierbas helped while away another half hour. This total blow out resulted in a bill of 120 euros but this was for a wonderful 3 hour lunch and a great lunch could be had for much less than this.
Justin is fabulous - someone who is excellent at his job and makes you feel welcome and valued as a customer - so relaxed and with a great sense of humour. This walking lark is growing on me!

“Perfect Deia hideaway”
Reviewed May 24, 2013

We had a delicious lunch here and despite there being numerous restaurants in Deia to choose from we opted to return on our last day. Great Mallorcan food and friendly service - no problem moving tables mid meal to sit in the shade. The fact that it is up a side street means that it is quieter and has great views from the pretty terrace. Wonderful!

“Ate here today and will go back tomorrow!”
Reviewed May 23, 2013

There are many reportedly good restaurants in Deia and we have eaten in a couple that have been fine, but today we had a long and late lunch at Sa Vinya and it was superb. The food was wonderful, scallops, fresh tuna, etc, and wonderful puddings. The service was great, friendly and helpful.
We're only in lovely Deia for a further full day and it would be nice to try some of the other restaurants, but we don't want to miss out, so we'll probably go for another leisurely, lovely lunch at Sa Vinya again tomorrow.
