“Good location for Es Trenc access, helpful staff, relaxing and peaceful”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed July 14, 2014

We made a last-minute decision to spend our last two days on Mallorca at the beach (Es Trenc). We literally walked into Romantica and booked a room at the same price (actually slightly better) than that quoted on Expedia. The room was somewhat dated, yet very clean, with a modernized bath and sea view. We travelled without our sons, and found it just charming that there were lots of families with children at the hotel. Good, hearty food - do not expect Mallorcan or Spanish specialties and you will not be disappointed. We felt like we were eating traditional Norwegian juletallerken in the middle of summer:-)
Helpful, professional staff and the best sangria!

Room Tip: Higher floors are better for sea views

We had a week here during spring half term, it was so relaxing. Nice clean rooms, great food with plenty of choice, we choose all inclusive it was certainly a good deal. The staff were very friendly, except one of the bar staff, a young waiter who didnt want to serve us. We were one of 3 english families staying in this German Hotel, and this waiter seemed to dislike us. We did have to wait a long time to be served drinks in the evening too, so we worked out that if we ordered a bottle of wine with dinner we could take it to the bar. The sunbeds were a problem too, the hotel had a policy of pre booking them for a week, which we were not informed of, and although no one sat on them for most of the week, on the last few days we just took some empty ones around the pool only to be verbally abused by a german couple, as we werent really bothered we moved, only to see them put there towel on it and disappear again for a few hours, we wouldnt want to be here in the height of summer for that reason. However I would recommend this hotel it is in a lovely spot right on the beach.

Room Tip: Our room no 211 over looked the front of the hotel and was nice and cool in the afternoon. The rooms...

My girlfriend and I have just returned from a lovely holiday at Hotel Romantica. Room was good, and well cleaned. Reception staff were very friendly and helpful. The bar staff were very efficient and pleasant. The food on our all inclusive package was absolutely wonderful. This hotel is run and managed by people who obviously take great pride in the service they offer, and their staff are a credit to them. The resort was fairly quiet when we were there at the end of the first week in May, but this was perfect for us. To the young hotel director and all staff a big thank you from Paul and Silvija. Last but not least, on the final day when you are supposed to check out at 12 noon, we paid to stay to 6 pm. we asked could we stay until just before our pick up for airport at 9 pm, and this request was met very willingly, and they also let us have dinner before leaving, which was not part of our booking. Thank you so much. We would definitely return to hotel Romantica in the future.

Room Tip: most rooms have a lovely sea view

we returned for 4 days and stayed at Hotel Romantica again. It was my birthday and they very kindly left a bottle of Cava in our room for when we got back from the beach - nice touch ! We went B&B which is fine for us. I'd recommend eating at Cafe y Sal just a few metres away, nice hot foot and very friendly staff. Also, for a drink try Bar Jayda which is on the right hand side off the first roundabout away from Romantica - much better prices than the "flexible" prices we encountered at the German bar "Heike" .. I think they charged what they liked €7.90 for a gin and tonic, as opposed to €4-5.00 everywhere else. Also, the pizza restaurant on the right (black and white sign writing) on the main road is fabulous and lovely fresh pizzas.

This big family hotel is very well located, rooms are big enough, very good attention, a little bit crowded, but nice to go with children, nighy show was fantastic, karaokes included. Food was excellent, the airport transfer fast, and the beaches nearby wonderfulll

Room Tip: try rooms with sea view, arrive early for dining

For those who plan to be in Es Trenc beach, Colonia st Jordi is the nearest village. The hotel stuff were very friendly, the room was large and comfortable. Although the hotel design is quite oldish the room was clean and with a nice sea view.
breakfast and dinner were rich and good. A very good value for money and I will sure visit again.

Very nice hotel, food was good and the facilities were fine. Fabulous resort, with a few simple bars and restaurant - no karaokes, English pubs etc .. Spain in the 80's springs to mind. Very quiet past 11:00pm. Fabulous beaches and clear sea.. No pressure sellers on the beaches etc - already booked for next summer !
