“Wouldnt recommend ....awful paella”
Reviewed June 19, 2013

Agree with the previous reviewer...we visited Antonio's a few days ago and the food was terrible with the exception of a tomato and mozzarella salad.

My husband's starter of chewy overcooked razor clams were the amber light warning ahead of our seafood paella. It was truly awful, chewy, tasteless bits of rubbery seafood and the prawns looked and tasted off.

“TRULY APPALLING - Avoid like the plague...”
Reviewed June 18, 2013

A shocking experience that we need to warn people about...

We went to this restaurant with a good impression due to the good reviews on Trip Advisor. Our dining experience started OK, we were served our drinks and a bit of bread with aioli, olives and raw pepper which was passable. Unfortunately it went downhill from there... My wife asked especially about their paella as she is ALLERGIC to calamari. The waiter said no problem at all, their paella can be made without calamari included so we decided to order paella as it was well rated. A big mistake... This was by far the WORST paella we have ever tasted in our lives! Firstly, after two mouthfuls my wife found calamari in there despite being assured that there was definitely no calamari used. Clearly not acceptable... it went from bad to worse, the rice was so overcooked/soggy that it was inedible. The shellfish was so disgustingly old (black/green muscles, stinking prawns, etc) that the whole thing tasted as if you had just taken a big mouthful of sea water!

Once we told them how we felt, the lady owner decided to publicly lecture us on how paella was made. She said that the muscles were black/green because the paella was oven-cooked and this was the way all paella was cooked! (In fact, paella should traditionally be cooked on an open fire). There was no concern for my wife’s welfare or an apology for the appalling nature of the dish. Instead, we were made to feel very uncomfortable as the lady laughed/joked about us with other diners and staff – totally unprofessional and damn right rude.

We felt so uncomfortable that we asked to finish our drinks outside and the lady continued to be rude by offering us an almond desert sarcastically commenting “you can eat almonds can’t you?” We evidently declined due to her rudeness and promptly left after paying our drinks bill, which surely should have been offered as complimentary considering our experience?

We have never been treated like this in any restaurant the world over and would advise others to STEER WELL CLEAR.

“Lovely Sunset”
Reviewed April 13, 2013

Ate here twice now. First time back in July 2011 & then again in July 2012. The best tasting & good value paella I have ever had washed down with a beer while enjoying a lovely sunset (see pictures)

Can't fault this place. Staff are fantastic, food is fantastic. My partner is a very fussy eater but even she found something she liked.

Will be coming back here in June for sure.

“An outstanding restaurant”
Reviewed August 3, 2012

Just returned to London from a holiday in the area and a highlight was Restaurante Antonio. Truly outstanding. As a family with children we have eaten in restaurants all over Spain and this rates as one of the best. Great food and service and thanks to the lady (part of la familia Martín Serra) that owns the restaurant and all the staff for making us feel so welcome.

“Best paella for taste and price/quality”
Reviewed April 8, 2012

The friendliest staff you will find in Mallorca and an excellent paella which is huge! We ordered for two and there was enough for at least 3 or 4. They were happy to give us containers to take home what we couldn't eat, which was a pleasant surprise as it makes it less painfull notbeing able to finish the excellent paella ordered. Great place.
