Just back from 3 nights at this very nice hotel. The staff could not have been more helpful or pleasant. We requested an extra pillow, blanket and patio chair and they were onto the job in an instant. We only had breakfast in the hotel but it was very good and offered a great deal of choice. The sister hotel opposite is bigger and more upmarket but more expensive too. We could use any facilities there except the pool but we didnt feel the need. A nice clean beach is 10 minutes walk away and has excellent facilities.
Illetas was too quiet for us in the evenings (maybe a bit early in the season) but for a 5 Euro cab ride you can get to Portals Nous which has beautiful boats in the marina and bustling restaurants and bars. I would certainly repeat this trip.

Room Tip: There are sea views from many balconies but if like us your balcony is on the side of the building i...

Little touches count. Cava on arrival if room isnt ready. Perfect location for the serenity of the beaches or the lights of Palma. Quiet mature clientele. Breakfast is good quality and varied in a beautiful dining setting. Two nice pools but busy. Rooms are spacious and clean (apart from level 6 where you lose on room size for larger rooftop balconies with sunbeds. NB Avoid room 6B which has neither in great measure!!).

This hotel is one of the best I have been in for friendllyness food and cleanllyness. When we first arrived we were greeted by a very smiling and freindly reception staff and asked us if we would like a drink while we were waitngfor our paperwork to be done, as we were sitting having a complimentory drink the manager of the hotel Maria came over and welcomed us to her hotel.
Within about 10 minutes we were told we had a choice of 2 rooms they were both very good but we chose the one south east facing it was fantastic with a full sea view.
when we went down to the resteraunt we were again greeted by the manageress and Delfin who was is charge of the resteraunt he showed us where we could sit for the rest of our holiday a window table. The food was of the highest quality and pleny of variety.
As for sunbeds they had jusy been replaced with brand new modern ones there was plenty for everyone at any time of the day also plenty of umberellas.
I would highly reccomend this hotel to anyone.

A great hotel with a very relaxing atmosphere. The staff make you feel like an individual which can be attributed to the Lady Manager in charge who is exceptional and always visible and talking to guests.

The food was very good ,well presented and meal times were relaxed with no queues.

Only criticism is that the decor in the rooms is outdated ,however the cleanliness of the Hotel is excellent and a credit to the staff.

The hotel has nothing fundamentally wrong about it, but in my opinion it just doesn't stand to the 'excellent' status that other reviews gave it.

The lobby and corridors have a cheap perfume smell, the carpets in the corridors are slightly stained and discoloured, the walls have paint on them bulged and cracked - there are cracks here and there, and the design is dark brown wood and tinted walls.

The hotel is probably clean, but didn't give an impression of cleanliness probably because of the tired look. The design pattern on the walls of our room - if one didn't look too close - looked a bit like moisture stains, which added to the impression.

There are two outdoor pools, but no direct exit or view of the sea. The hotel is across the road, the sea view is blocked by another hotel and a parking lot. The staff was friendly, but we often had to wait at the reception, because there was just one clerk - busy with a different guest.

The choice of food at the pool bar was not very good. Ketchup was cheap (pink slush without the tomato taste) and French fries had a stale cooked rather than fried taste. The second day we asked for desserts - they didn't have strawberries, but then again, they were very polite, replaced it with other fruits and charged us less.

The breakfast was ok, nothing special. Fruit juices were not very good, but the fruit area was decent. Pastry section was average. We are vegetarians - for us the dinner buffet didn't give much choice, so we just didn't take it. ($30 per person, or $15 per person - if you book it for the entire stay) We liked the buffet at the other nearby hotel (Barcelo Albatros) better.

Given the other reviews, probably we expected the hotel to be slightly better than it was.

There is a nice beach 10 minutes down the road, but as much as sleeping and just 'relaxing' is concerned - the hotel didn't have that soothing dreamy 'spa' experience, but rather reminded me of what would be a cheap average hotel in Czech or Poland.

At the pool area they were playing cheap pop music (from the Spanish radio), which made it impossible for me to concentrate to read any book, the lobby bar/area wasn't too cozy either.

The stay wasn't unpleasant, but it's not something we expected for a nice relaxing vacation. And probably for those people who look after excitement and don't base their vacation around the hotel - it will be a perfect deal, since the hotel doesn't get in the way there. But me (a person who would rather stay in one peaceful place) - this wasn't it.

For the last day of our stay we changed to Barcelo Albatros hotel - just a few blocks down the road, which in my opinion is a class higher (but also a bit more expensive).

Room Tip: The first room we booked had a view into the ground - it had a small ground floor terrace, which was...

This hotel is outstanding it should be awarded a 5* we were a family of 5 - ages from 10years up to 84years we could not have chosen a better hotel, we were greeted with wine or orange juice before having our evening meal which was prepared for us (we were delayed by two hours) so the restaurant was officially closed, all our rooms were next to each other over looking the gardens with a view of the sea, the hotel is spotless everywhere you look there is a smiling cleaner, we have been to lots of 5* hotels and cannot understand why this one has not be given the same grade. The food is excellent and prepared to perfection. The resort is quite - we knew this when booking, but the bus stop is right outside which takes you all the way to Palma for 1.50 euros. The staff cannot do enough for you and always with a smile, the manager herself and all her staff should be very proud of themselves for running the perfect hotel.
If you have booked this hotel you are in for a real treat!!

Room Tip: Rooms overlook the mini golf also have a view of the sea (side view)

We spent five nights at this hotel, upon arrival which was late in the evening we were offered a welcome drink and there was also food available for us in the restaurant which was brilliant. All the staff are really friendly and cannot do enough for you and the manager is a really helpful and friendly lady, who again cannot do enough for you. The room was immaculate, there was no problem finding sunbeds at the pool, and the food and customer service was absolutely out of this world. The hotel is set in a wonderful location having a bus stop outside the door and shops and bars which are within walking distance. I would recommend this hotel to anyone i know going to Mallorca!!!!!
