we stayed during the last week of the season and thought the hotel was great. staff are exceptionally helpful very happy and make you feel very welcome. very quiet grounds and no noise from arriving guests. we liked the two sittings for dinner,we picked the later slot and found the food was always hot and great choice. You keep the same table for your stay so no walking around looking for a space. The pool area is very lovely with big palms very clean but freezing in october we went into the sea instead.Bar staff are brilliant and know how to mix a great cocktail .Entertainment very good they get everyone up and you can dance till 1am if you want to.Bar is also open all inclusive till 1am.we enjoyed the mini golf .beaches are lovely and if you like to walk you can go across the cliffs along a lovely man made cliff walk continue through the sol hotel grounds takes you to a lovely cove and the open countryside you need good shoes.we would definately return here .Thanks for the cocktail mixing classes the big paella cooked outside the hilarious shows and all your great staff x

Room Tip: we had a room in the 60s anyhing over 100 i think you can be a long way from reception

The hotel was great value for the price paid. All inclusive drinks and food were varied and plentiful. The thing that made the holiday so great was the staff, from the assisant manager down they were all so helpful and friendly. Kodi the entertainer was a class above the usual type you would get on an all inc. The bar staff made the evening such fun with their 'Macarena' chant.
All in all you could not fault any of it. I do think the people who write really bad reviews for this hotel must be after compensation on return to England. The rocky path over to the resort center was not bad and was in fact a lovely senic walk.

Room Tip: Rooms less than 100 are the best if you find it hard to walk far.

If you are under the impression this is a HOTEL i can assure you it is NOT, it is groups of holiday chalets (not bungalows as staff will tell you) apparently it was once a pontins camp. i can't believe First Choice advertise this, there should be a warning that if you have problems walking, are elderly or disabled this is NOT suitable because there are steps everywhere, i holidayed there from 28th sept - 12th oct 2013 the staff were 5* except 1 or 2, most of the food in the dining room was nice but not very hot (warm). The food in the snack bar was a differant story all open and there were flies pitching on food so that was off putting (the food should be covered with large lids). The floor shows were good for children/adults, transport around the site in the mini bus was not good if you were older as people getting in and out found it difficult,we managed the beach i day after that it was an eyesore sea weed piled up but as they say the BEACH is NOT their responsibility, i don't know what people do if its raining as you don't even have facilities for making a drink, we were put up in the 200's but after 2 days had enough of the distance we had to walk for meals ect and the mini bus came no where near us we requested to be moved closer and got moved nearer the centre of the complex. In reception the computers are a rip off you HAVE to PAY you log in it takes you out you go in again wasting time. Wi-Fi is NOT FREE either. It is classed as a 3plus* but i would rate this as a 2*. Hence i will not be returning, please ignore the photo they have put on looking from the sea to the beach it gives one totaly the wrong impression.(just like to add 2 of our party were fit health wise)

We stayed for a week from 15 august. first impressions good when we arrived early hours of the morning, although when they said there was food in the restaurant if we were hungry, it was more like stale bread and cold meats and cheese, basically the left overs from previous nights dinner we thought. rooms small but very nice and cleaned everyday we had a room right near the pool and reception( some of the rooms are a good 10 minute walk). staff very friendly and helpful. food not bad plenty of choice, although it was like a free for all during evening dinners people pushing in pushing past you! the size of this hotel they should have at least 2 restaurants. pool very cold but ok. beach great! but i do think that the hotel should come to an arrangement with the beach bar to allow all inclusive to have drinks from there and not have to pay, or go up to snack bar, i mean the whole point of going to the beach is to chill and relax there not have to go back up to the hotel for drinks and food!!! entertainment ok. all in all a nice relaxing place and we would go back in the future.

Room Tip: choose room 1-100 to be near pool and reception otherwise you will have a bit of a walk as the mini...

You get what you pay for. As a frequent user of the Riu chain, mainly in far away countries this isn't one of their most luxurious hotel. The standards of the accommodation is fairly basic and the food is a little bland, but the location and the beach makes up for it. My only real criticism was a less than helpful reception staff, who let down the rest of the team who were always very friendly and willing to help. I've seen my fair share of Riu Entertainment teams and I have to say these guys weren't too bad. All in all, it was good value for money. If you want to escape the site, it a short, interesting walk over the rocks or a quick taxi ride to plenty of nice restaurants and bars with good entertainment that won't break the bank.

Room Tip: My top tips. 1. Contact the hotel in advance and ask for a room between 1 & 100 or you are up f...

Stayed here from the 28th of September till the 12th of October I must say it was no where near what we were expecting we just wished the time would go faster so we could get home the food was very nice the staff except a small hand full was lovely. There was a couple there and the wife could not get out to eat so her husband had to take her food to her at every meal they didn't even offer to cover it or put a lid over it also another lady with leg braces and crutches climbed the 40 steps at lunch time only to have the door shut in her face and told she was to late. We got moved after three days because my farther who is 94 found it hard walking so far too get a meal three times a day it is not a hotel its a holiday camp what sold this holiday was the picture of the beach and that was filthy but there again they say its not there beach and they are not responsible for it. You would also think that they would have tea and coffee in the rooms as it rained and we wanted a drink but it was to far too go why first choice has this on there books is beyond me also keep away from the snack bar unless you like flys with your food they need to cover the food up.

Room Tip: ask for a room close too reception.

I confess straight away that I did not stay in this hotel but, as a fan of Riu hotels, I decided to check it out while I was staying in the Globales Hotel America during the first week of October. What a disappointment! I would not describe this as a hotel but as a holiday camp. The location is very isolated and not easily accessible unless you have hired a car. There is a hub building near the attractive sandy cove which contains the restaurant kiddies' club etc. with a nearby pool area. Accommodation consists of terraced bungalow-type rooms mostly situated on steep slopes and spread across a very extensive wooded area, some at a great distance from the main building. we spoke to some residents who informed us that this was originally a 'Pontinental' establishment and it shows! Apparently there was no air conditioning available in the bedrooms despite the 80 degrees+ temperatures.. This place is showing its age This is one Riu at which I will not be making a reservation.

Room Tip: If you choose this establishment, make sure that your accommodation is near the main building and be...
