Well what a shame!,the few good points outweighed by the bad.Stunning pool area & never struggled once for a sun lounger even venturing to the pool at midday, fair quality drinks & polite & helpful staff. Location was ok though the walk down to the beach down the secluded private path could prove unsettling for lone females as its so isolated. Having said that the beach was lovely. Resort is small but adequate with around a dozen bars/ restaurants, few dozen shops & a basic funfair. Be warned that the airport transfers are horrific, 2hours a lot of which are down bumpy narrow roads & we had to wait 1 hour before we set off for other flights to fill the coach meaning a 3 hr coach transfer !!.The other real downside was the poor quality of the food with blatant cheap cuts of meat & poor variety of food. My partners a veggitarian & she got tired of eating pasta in tomato sauce or chips & salad as 95% of the food contains seafood or meat inc in the rice & pastas. The worst bit was the evening entertainment which was very dated & tired which was so like watching an episode of benidorm I half expected tim Healy to go past in drag. We paid £350 each all inc for a week which I reckon was £100 overpriced. Probably worth tolerating for £250 but definitely taking the proverbial asking middle of the road prices for cheap tat. The shame is that with an overhaul of the menu, evening entertainment & supplement the room furniture &it could be turned around to represent decent value for money..... Trouble is your not paying for what could be, thus this is a fair & balanced review on how it is.

Myself and my partner just got back from a one week stay at this hotel. We were hoping for a relaxing break, it was anything but. The noise in this hotel is unbelievable, I had to resort to wearing earplugs every night. The food was bland and repetitive, we decided to eat out despite paying for all inclusive. I wouldn't visit this hotel again. Transfer back to the airport was almost 3 hours, I was so glad to get home.

We stayed last week with our kids (10, 5 and baby Mabel), loved every minute, especially at the price we paid! Booked with a company online Blueseas and they were great, Ryanair flight all good and transfer is not as bad as people moan, we enjoyed the trip. Calas de Mayorca is not dead quiet, plenty to do and very pretty area, beaches safe for the kids too. Hotel was great, staff so nice and they said has new cook, we thought food was fine and hubbie is a fussy lamb! Pool great, rooms huge, clean as a whistle everywhere. We will rebook for September and are meeting up with another family back there then! Great hotel! Thank you to entertainers too, great job.

Room Tip: Ask for a higher floor room, queter

Just got back from ten days here and want to start by saying my two children loved it....
I have been many places and hotels so please try to accept my advice...
Now the hotel is large and noisey which I suppose as a family hotel it is always going to be. Hotel is kept well although a bit dated. The food is ok if you want veal or rabbit which us English generally don't but other days we got lasagna which was ok and one day a pork roast which was nice (only meal we personaly enjoyed) so I would have to agree with other reviews the food really Is hit or miss....
You can only eat so much chips and salad....

This you could argue is made up for by the effort and comittment of resort staff who really do try there best to get everybody involved with activities which is great.
The night time entertainment is very repetitive but again the kids love it and the fact the can run around safely and play and go help themselves to a drink.
Now let's .over on to the resorts and beach both about 5 minutes away. The resort/town of calas de mallorca is pleasant enough but very small which consist of a few restaurants which we had to use as food at hotel was sometimes poor. None of these restaurant were great the Chinese was about the best also a mini golf in town and a small fair.
We personaly became bored of the town and hotel do ventured out for a few days and must say the public transport here is very expensive last year we travelled all over Ibiza on the buses so cheap compared to here.
Moral of the story if your happy to stay in one place all holiday without visiting the island then this would be ok wouldn't recommend 10 days like we did... and one last moan the transfer despite what your told is a minimum of 2 hours in some cases 3......

The hotel was nice and clean, the staff helpful and friendly. Our apartment was basic but clean and beds were firm and comfortable. Pool area was big with plenty of room and the beach was only a short walk away with a path directly from the hotel. It is far from the airport and transfers were expensive, so I rented a car through economycarrentals for £150 which was £30 cheaper than a private transfer which enabled us to travel around to waterparks, etc without being ripped off by excursion companies. The food at hotel was ok at best, but most of the time it was pretty bad but on the upside we were never ill from it. The alcohol was suspect also because it would never even get me tipsy even after 6 brandy and cokes. I would only feel merry when we drank out of the hotel. One plus for us was on our last day our flight wasn't until 23.45 so we paid 20 euros for late check out and we had our apartment until we decided to leave which was a big benefit because we were all tired from the holiday. Also enabled us to enjoy the food for the day. All in all not to bad for a cheap all inclusive 3 star hotel but wouldn't return
