Found this restaurant by pure fluke when visiting nearby bakery and what a find. We had a wonderful meal, which we selected based on the owners suggestion, the white bean soup was divine. This is a family run restaurant and from comments from other diners people have been re visiting for many years, two people we chatted to for 20 years. We plan to visit Cala D'or next year and this restaurant is on the top of our list. If you want a good food, friendly service then dine here.

Dani, the owner, was in the mood for spoiling someone ... and luckily, three nights ago, it was us.

He suggested our entire meal, from the first thin slice of superb Iberian ham to the last lingering taste of his strawberries in black pepper flambéd in vodka. And, in between, the hake was a substantial centrepiece of his seafood stew from Northern Spain.

Daniel Ribas, himself, (Toni to the bank manager, Dani to his friends) is a flamboyant host with the solid support of some excellent staff who wait-on with attentiveness and a sense of fun that can't be faulted.

But at the end of the day it's what comes out of the kitchen that counts. And that is where this second generation restaurateur scores so highly with a higher level of traditional authenticity and greater value than many of the trendier harbour eateries.

Restaurante Vincente is the real deal. Simple as that!

We have seldomly been welcomed as friendly like in this restaurant. The waiter made extensive explanations of the lunch menu with different options, ranging from salad or Gaspaccho and from fish to pasta. All sounded so succulent that we opted for the lunch menu, which was, I have to admit really cheap. Chosing meat balls, fried fish and pasta, all of us were disappointed. Quantities where minimal and, worse, the quality and prepartion were in no line with what we have been told. Although, they stayed very friendly.

We have recently bought ourselves a second residence in Cala d'Or and this is one of the two we wouldn't return.to.

Fantastic food and great value for money. Unfortunate location on edge of town by taxi rank but staff lovely and standard of cooking excellent. Highly recommended.
