“Lovely Hotel”
Reviewed June 11, 2014

We stayed for a week and absolutely loved it. All the staff are so friendly and helpful and noting is too much trouble. It was my birthday during a stay....which I hadn't told them...and they left chocolates and champagne in our room and laid our table at dinner with candles and scattered colored stars on the table. Such a lovely surprise! The breakfast selection was perfect but we were on half board and we were slightly disappointed with the evening meals, it was generally quite bland and tasted as if it had been prepared many hours before. But that could just be our personal taste, still good value for money.

Room Tip: Ask for a side or back room as these are away from the busy front area

The staff at this hotel are exceptional, nothing is too much trouble. Whilst we were only on a B&B rate, the breakfast was to die for, you would struggle to think of anything that wasn't included!
Can't rate this hotel highly enough. Made a good holiday excellent, thank you.

We booked a cruise and stay to celebrate our silver wedding anniversary. We had never done a cruise before and only been to Majorca once many years ago. We were not disappointed. What a lovely hotel. The staff were extremely helpful and friendly and nothing was too much trouble. The food was out of this world and the accommodation itself did not disappoint. The little touches like a red rose and bowl of fruit in the room made our stay extra special. We will come again and recommend to our friends.

Room Tip: Would ask to be on an upper floor. We were on ground floor and couldn't leave door open

The best hotel we've stayed in so far, had built it up so high because of reviews on TA and it didnt disappoint one bit! Staff are excellent, dont know if its true but they seemed to enjoy working there and serving the guests needs, from the cleaning team (spotless) to the front desk . Food is superb even able to make our own bucks fizz in morning, chef cooked to order eggs bacon etc The lunchtime meal deal is great value, changes everyday, pizzas, baguettes , burgers plus drink and a dessert around 7 euros, Id emailed a month before and asked for room 314 as id seen good reports of view etc , hotel emailed straight back and said if available no problem and thats the room we had, really was the best holiday so far and ive had a fair few. The resort was quieter than previous years down to tour operators increasing all inclusives in the area(a sad fact and personally hope it doesnt continue) If you choose this hotel you wont be disappointed just remember if you dont like something say at the time Happy Holidaying!

Room Tip: 314 my new favorite number!

We stayed here after a weeks cruise on the Thompson Dream and found it a great place to relax and chill out .The place is spotless and cleaners are always keeping it looking great. The food for breakfast was everything you could wish for and you can eat as much as you like.Great presentation and quality here.
The rooms are large and airy and attention to detail is second to none.
The evening meal is 15 euro per head and is well worth it for the food is to die for.
The pool is clean and a lunch snack is ideal and cheap to keep you going.
The staff are always friendly and poor good generous drinks .
I have stayed in many places and this is the best so far. you cannot find much better than this and I have been to Sandals.....Stop reading and book it while you can

Had spent a magnificant week on the Thomson Dream as we were transferred by coach from the port to Cala Bona I was not looking forward to the 1 hr coach Journey . It was not enjoyable as 2 passengers arrived late for their transfer and we were already on the coach 30 minutes .Anyway thats all the negatives out of the way .We were met off the coach by a young Yorkshire man by the name of Joshua who was very smart and professional and helped us with our bags and took them straight to our Suite 007 best room in the House sea view modern and clean .

Check in quick and efficient .

We were very impressed with the whole place and the ambiance exceeded our expaectations .

The food the service and the location were superb. I cant commend the staff and management enough and feel it would be unfair to single any one person out for outstanding perfornmance as they work very well as a team .Top marks to all involved .

Room Tip: 007 or 008 Excellent rooms .

We arrived at the Gran Sol at around 8.30 on Saturday evening with our tired 2 year old daughter. After a very quick and friendly check-in, we decided to find the restaurant for a bite to eat before we went to our room. Although dinner finished at 9pm, everyone in the restaurant were were accommodating, especially Miguel, who looked after us so well from the second we entered the room.

We soon found that every member of staff we met were the same. All so friendly and polite, it wasn't long before we felt like we had known them for years.

We stayed in room 307, a junior suite with a fantastic view of the sea. The room was fantastic, very modern, with a living area and a separate bedroom. We couldn't have asked for more.

When speaking to other holidaymakers staying at the Gran Sol, it was evident that most of them were on their 2nd, 3rd, 4th or 5th stay at the hotel. This speaks volumes. Everything was first class, the staff, the food, the facilities..... That is why as soon as we got home, we have booked to go back this October. This is somewhere we will enjoy going to for years to come.
