Just returned from 11 nights booked as a late deal with Thomson. Hotel room was spotless, bright, modern and had good sized balcony. Some balconies were quite small on other rooms but ours was a lovely size. We were in the main block which houses the pool and restaurant (the hotel has 5 blocks). Strangely though, this main block sits behind the harbourfront, sea view block. I am certain that if we returned to this hotel we would pay the extra for a sea view room as the harbour in the evening just comes to life with people strolling past and local entertainers on the harbourfront.
The pool terrace gets full on a hot day but we preferred to stroll the short distance to the beach which was always peaceful. There are a lot of rocks in the sea but there are areas where you can walk in up to midrift level so it is not impossible to take a dip avoiding rocks,
The food quality and choice was excellent, as was the service and friendliness of all the staff. They do operate a table share policy - you are given your table number on arrival and this very often will mean you share with another couple. However we asked if we could have a table for 2 and within a few days we were moved to a table on our own. Standard rooms do not have tea/coffee making facilities so take your travel kettle, or you could hire a kettle for 11E for 7nights. Similarly the standard room does not have a fridge. We decided to hire one as it was only 25E for 11nights.
The resort itself is quieter than it's neighbour, Cala Millor, yet has plenty of shops, cafes, bars etc and the beautiful wide walkway along the waterfront which stretches from one resort right to the other with plenty of benches looking out to sea as well as cafes, shops etc is ideal for an after dinner walk.
I would recommend this hotel and this resort to anybody who likes to have plenty to see and do but without the loud discos/partygoers which usually come with those elements. There were a lot of guests we spoke to who had visited this hotel repeatedly for years, and it is not hard to see why...the hotel and resort both had such a good feel to them. Hotel is not for youngsters and partygoers, more for couples (over 40's) although some families there. However apart from the children's pool the hotel doesn't cater for children - no clubs or entertainment for them. This is why I would say it is definitely more of a couples hotel.

As a mother and daughter visiting this hotel for the first time, we were pleasantly suprised with the friendlyness and great atmosphere of the whole place including staff and other people staying in the hotel.
At first in the dining hall we were seated with two strangers; this did not suit us at all however was easily changed once i had a word with the restaurant manager, and we were given a table for two which we kept for the whole week. The food was a little samey, although good to see no fast food or pizzas. The Sunday roast was wonderful and a lovely surprise.
Some of the rooms had been recently upgraded to a very high standard, and worth the extra money to have a superior room. Especially with a harbour view which made the stay and the hotel location all the more worthwhile. Particularly as we stayed over the days of the festivial and the fireworks from the balcony were spectacular.
Normally we stay at larger hotels; but the home from home atmosphere at this hotel, has won us round, leaving the soulless larger hotels behind. Fantastic staff and really friendly guests, this hotel must be doing something right!
We definately recommend this hotel.

Room Tip: Always ask for harbour views.
