“visit September 2013”
Reviewed October 10, 2013

This is the first time in the resort and this hotel was in the Thompson brochure. The hotel was excellant many other guests had visited on multipul occasions which was a good sign. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The pool always had a life guard present and was in good order and there were always plenty of vacant sunbeds. The hotel was both very clear and tidy the rooms were well appointed if a little snug. The dining room was excellent the food varied and of good quality. If I have a complaint it would be that it was necessary to ask for a deposit for the tv remote and that in the room my wife and Iwere in there was a lack of power points eg to plug in my electric shaver I had to remove the hair dryer but this was a minor problem.

Room Tip: higher floors have less noise

This was our first visit but feel sure it won't be the last. The hotel has a very good relaxed feel and is in good location with Cala Millor to the right and Cala Bonar to the left both just 10 mins walk away. Natalie the entertainment rep does a very good job and there is lots to do but she is not pushy in the way some reps can be. Evening entertainment was of variable quality but plenty of bars nearby so spoilt for choice really.
Food was excellent with plenty of variety and staff all helpful and friendly.
We took the one hour boat trip to Cala Rajada which at 20 euros return is good value. Cala Rajada has some beautiful small bays and some good bars along the harbour that offer great views. Also Son Servesa is walkable about 5kms but we went by bike which is good value at 6 euros per day. There are clearly marked cycling lanes all along the promenade so it works well with pedestrians Son Servesa has a roofless church built by Gaudi's assistant - forget his name. It is an amazing building well worth seeing. The resort in general is also a good location for snorkelling which we did most days and there are lots of different types of fish to see by the safe rocks.
Overall very impressed and difficult to find real fault with anything. I can see why so many people return year after year.

Room Tip: rooms with sea view overllooking garden worth paying the extra for. Saw some incredible sunrises.

This is our third stay so this is difficult to comment but I have to say as I find. First Natalie the entertainments officer is totally first class. She should feel proud . THe food is also of a high quality. The equipment used for breakfast however, toaster, hot water needs updating No problems with the sun beds. Yes towels are put on them but not an issue. The evening entertainment is awful. Only one act was decent and that was Dave Nicholls. The rooms are looking tired and need some work on them. Cala Bona and Cala Millor are good resorts to walk around and Stanleys tea Rooms is a great place. Our fellow holiday makers were very friendly and we did enjoy ourselves but will probably wont return as we want to visit new places.

The hotel is great. This is our fourth time in this hotel. It is friendly and very popular as many people return to this hotel. The hotel is ideally placed between the resorts of Cala Bona and Cala Millor and lots of places to enjoy and drink etc are within easy walking distance. The entertainments officer, Natalie, works very hard to put on day time activities for those who don't want to lay and bake all day and evening entertainment for those who just want an easy time. Can't fault the staff at all they are great and usually recognise you when you return and can't do enough to help you. The staff must be happy as there doesn't appear to be any new faces whenever we go. A small number of guests need an occasional lessen in manners when speaking to the staff and in the way they treat the staff. We have been at all different times of year but during the first week of our stay this time 14-28 September 2013, there was a "mature age" lady and her associates who tried to undermine the entertainments officer. These attempts were ignored by the majority of guests and a good time was had by all. We, along with several other couples, have already booked for next year. In fact we're going twice, June and September.

Room Tip: We have a sea view room, the ones on the corners are best but the view from the garden view rooms ar...

Stayed here from 10th - 24th September. The hotel staff are really nice. They are very friendly and work really hard. The rooms are OK we had 408 which was on the side looking over the sea. The bathroom was really nice although the lighting is poor, my husband had trouble shaving. The beds were really hard and I had terrible back ache and for 2 days I could hardly walk and had to go to the pharmacy and get some strong painkillers. The large safe is 2 euros a day(cheaper than many hotels) it was strange to have to pay a 5 euro deposit for the TV remote, we have never had to do this before. The food was really good, great choice, lots of fruit, and lovely fish. The only problem is that some of the guests pick up food from the bowls with their fingers and for the first 10 days a lady was very annoying by walking behind us while we were getting salad and kept leaning over us to get to the dishes. Twice she wiped the spoon up my sleeve. We found that the best lunch was at the hotel, we only like a sandwich for lunch and a lot of places were really awful but the hotels food was really good. We did have a nice pizza at Carlos(close by) and the sandwiches at the Indian restaurant past the marina was good. The worst was at the café at the Talyot hotel.

Lots of people mention getting sandwiches from the Spar shop but they are really unhygienic, they make the food up with no washing facilities and take money.

We did not like Cala Bona much it has too many British bars and Cala Millor is all German Bars, we have stayed at many better resorts on Majorca that are Spanish. There is a nice walk to Sa Coma and S'Illot and Son Servera. We went on the express bus to Palma and also bus to Cala Rajada and Porto Cristo. The buses are really good and very reasonable. Go to the tourist office at the marina and get a timetable and a map, the lady there marked the bus stops for us.

The entertainment was not great but you could go to the nearby Hotel Atolon or the Levante hotels or Cala Bona Hotel.

Room Tip: Room 408 is a nice room

Hello we have been to this hotel 4 times now and have booked again next year ,the atmosphere is layed back and all the staff are so friendly it is spotlessly clean and the food is fantastic ,although the night time entertainment wasn't for us as we like to have a walk out our regular haunt was the cocktail bar on a evening which is perfect right next door to the hotel so it was easy to roll home if you know what I mean! Natalie was fantastic . Just a small gripe is that when it says long trousers in the dinning room (IT SHOULD MEAN LONG TROUSERS) this is the responsibility of the dinning manager .

Room Tip: Sea View Front Room if possible but it will cost you

Went to this hotel 2 years ago and we had a great time and said we would return.
This year we went cala dior and caught the bus to cala bona to see the resort and hotel again.
As soon as we walked into the hotel the receptionist recognised us from our previous visit, we also bumped into a lot of people who were there the last time we stayed at this hotel. The wife said we have got to book for next year because " I feel like I've come home". The staff are still as friendly as ever and the fellow guest will make you welcome if you want to join in with the fun and games, or if you want to relax that's up to you. They said the food was as good as ever and the price of drinks weren't too bad they told us. We booked for next year as soon as we returned home. Obviously can't do any scoring because we weren't actually staying at hotel, last time would have given it 5 stars.

Room Tip: Book a garden view or sea / pool view as the other rooms look across to the next hotel
