The rooms and public areas where spotless,(someone is always cleaning)
Met some very pleasant people, hired a car and did some touring around the island, most pleasant and relaxed holiday

My boyfriend and I were only 18/19 when we stayed there. We stayed 5th - 15th may 2012. This was our first holiday alone abroad without parents and im pleased to say it went really well! :) we went with Thomson and checking in was fine, Im a terrible flyer but the flight was perfect, transfers were so easy!! We arrived at the hotel just before 2pm and was greeted by the receptionist who told us lunch would stop being served at 2.30. The hotel is an L shape, with one side facing the pool and the L shape facing other hotels and slight views on the beach and mountains. We were on the second floor, room 222 which was the other side of the pool which was brilliant cos it meant we could sit on our balcony in peace without screaming children in the pool. Room is very basic, with two twin beds pushed together, bathroom has a very shallow bath but lovely hot water all the time. Only thing I noticed was the water smelt like chlorine which dryed my skin a little. Towels if left on the floor were changed everyday. Beds were made up everyday. Balcony had a small white plastic round garden table and 2 plastic white chairs. You also have an airer on the balcony for wet clothes. Our balcony got the sun between 2-6 which was perfect for us. The hotel itself is quite old fashioned but still good condition. Food was amazing, just a bit repetitive but had loads of new things to try and meat joints were cut in front on you. Alcohol at the bar was brilliant, no id and they don't know what a measure is! 3/4 of the plastic cup alcohol 1/4 mixer! You can have ready made cocktails, peach snapps, strawberry vodka, beer, sangria, and rum etc for free. Jäger costs like 3euro but why buy it when everything else is free. No bugs or flies anywhere, even by the pool. Pool is very cold, I got used to it but my boyfriend really struggled. Our Thomson reps Stevie and were really nice and brilliant fun! Told us where all the best places are and how to get to places we wanted to go to. The best places for CHEAP BUT AMAZING tapas is chillax. We spent ages looking thru all the restaurants but this is the best. 8 big dishes of tapas and 2 sex on the beach cocktails for 27 euros. Best meal ever! Trotters bar is english and does the best cocktails and the best steak!! The steak was twice the size of a normal English restaurant steak and I think it was 10euros for that! To get to trotters or chillax, go out of the hotel and turn right, now you have to walk a little while but it's so worth it! Keep walking and eventually you'll see the yellow trotters 3 wheel car on top of a bar on the left hand side. On the right hand side basically opposite trotters is a big pathway down to restaurants and the beach. You'll see chillax on the left hand side straight away :) rent the go kart bike things, brilliant fun and go on the ting ting train its 45 minutes and takes you all around ca'n picafort and you can get off and on with the same ticket for 1 day :) which is 3 euro. The bumps are really fun!! Port pollensea is beautiful and well worth a visit. People are making beautiful sand sculptures on the beach and don't hassle you for tips to take photos. The pandora and majorca pearl shop is amazing! You just get on the bus from the buds top just up from the hotel and say port pollensea and Alcudia is also a lovely place to visit! We went in excursions through out the week. Go on the blanket trip!!! It's a free trip to palma which is worth seeing. Okay so you have to sit through an hour long presentation about mattresses but we managed it. And you get to spend 2 hours in Palma and you see the cathedral :) other excursions we went to were katmandu house - brilliant fun for everyone and you get a free lunch, marineland which is a water zoo, the dolphin and sealions shows are brilliant! So is the parrot show. And you can have photos with them. Western waterpark - again brilliant fun for all, the boomerang was the best slide, it's really high and shaped like a boomerang so scary! We didn't get to see the pirates but heard they were amazing. There are fliers in reception grab a load go to your room and plan your time away. The ca'n picafort boat trip is brilliant! We went to the craves of drach which was brilliant and very interesting. Try to sit near the front in the caves as you get to go on a small boat trip to the other side. We spent an afternoon in cala bona with is beautiful and peaceful. We didn't experience the night life as trotters bar was so much fun it's family friendly too. There were children on the karaoke and for every 4 cocktails you have you get a free tshirt. We wanted a cheap, relaxing first holiday together and thats what we got but we also got fun filled which was a bonus. I personally would come back every year if I could!!! Hotel is family based and loads of stuff for kids to do :) can't wait til next year!!!!! Ooh one last thing, if you don't like thunder storms, Majorca may not be for you, some brilliant big storms at night, got photos of it too! During the day is really hot and sunny but even during this storm we were sat on the balcony in shorts and vests at 3am!!!! Definitely recommend this place and hotel!!!!

We stayed for 1 week from the 8th of June - we had a delay on arrival at Palma Airport - over 2 hours waiting of our bags on the carousel as there had a mix up with luggage of incoming flights! We had a great time at the Hotel Haiti, myself, my Husband and our two children aged 10 and 7. We couldn't fault the food for us adults but our kids did say there wasn't enough choice for them, but they are picky eaters...We loved the choice of foods, the soups were especially lovely - and we ate and drank more than we have in a long time - we loved being all-inclusive - first time since 12 years ago and glad we did. The drinks were great and my Husband especially got a taste for the Strawberry Vodka - something he would never normally drink at home. Entertainment was OK! Hi to Paul, who did his best to entertain us. There were 4 tribute acts on whilst we were there, Take That, The Beatles, Elvis and a comedy show called Zerox (am sure that was there name) - all apart from Take That were brilliant. Reps were both on hand alot of the time we were there - George and Zoe - they went out of their way to say hello, which made a refreshing change to reps on previous holidays we have had. We would return to the Hotel Haiti, the kids didn't want to come home. C'an Picafort is a lovely resort - we had a day at the beach and also went there one evening and watched a Michael Jackson tribute - which was very good. We also went on day trips to Alcudia - the beach there is gorgeous and we visited the Water Park there - the kids (and us) enjoyed it. We went to Alcudia market and bartered and got some good bargains. The port is great and we dreamed when looking at the boats, and Michael Schumacher's boat is moored there, Smooth Operator - it was beautiful. We also went to Puerto Pollensa, to the market and port there - that was a good day out too. Weather was beautiful all of our holiday and we came back with canny tan's. All in all great - yes, the pool at the hotel is very cold, but great once you get in, the kids loved it. One tip - we wish we hadn't wasted money on a lilo for the kids as there is loads for use at the hotel pool, and there is also a 'swap box' in reception, where exiting holidayers leave things for new arriving guests, such as books, suncream, magazines and lilo's!

Room Tip: We were on floor 5, lifts can be abit dodgy, don't let children use them alone.

Stayed here for one week starting 9th June celebrating a birthday, needless to say we were a bit apprehensive at first however there was nothing to worry about. The hotel although basic is spotlessly clean, good food which is hot and replenished throughout the service, great entertainment programme with Take That, comedy act, Elvis etc during our stay, pleasant all inclusive bar and friendly staff - so it’s our opinion that it’s well worthy of the 3T/star rating. The last review wasn’t very fair.

Hotel room probably in need of a refurb bringing in touch with the modern era, however that said really clean, fresh towels daily and excellent chambermaid service. I believe floors 4 and 5 have recently had their bathrooms modernised.

George and Zoey do an amazing job here at the Haiti representing Thomson – in fact they are two of the best reps we have ever met! Very knowledgeable on the local area and approachable characters. I think some guests underestimate how hard these two guys actually work. We were a bit edgey at first about leaving the hotel (it was only my friends third time abroad) however George was finishing work so walked us down to the main street in Can Picafort and even showed us the 1/2/3euro shop – with some great nic nacs to take back home.

Paul and Craig probably need to go? Or require a good kick up the backside... We did not see any of the activities listed on the board in the reception area actually happening at all during our stay! Craig ignored everyone and was exceptionally rude whilst Paul would befriend certain families ignoring others... and Paul your quizzes are terrible!

Room Tip: 4th or 5th floor facing away from the pool

The Haiti is a mid sized hotel, 5 minutes from the beach, great location to get to everything. The hotel itself is basic and clean and a nice example of a good 3 star accommodation.

The rooms are definitely on the cozy side, however we don't tend to spend that much time in the room during holidays, so this wasn't an issue for us. We were lucky to be allocated a room where the bathroom had been recently refurbished and we were very impressed, the shower was brilliant and powerful and the decor of the bathroom was of a high standard, especially given the 3 star rating of the hotel.

The room could maybe have benefited from a small fridge for keeping bottled water in, but other than that, no issues whatsoever and the cleaning service was offered daily, so they were always fresh.

The pool area is very clean, the bar staff are around regularly to clear up any discarded cups etc and are refreshingly cheery and polite whilst doing it! At no stage during our 11 night stay did we have to worry about getting a sun lounger as plenty were available, depending on the time of the day.
Icecreams, ice lollies and slushes are all included and available until midnight.

The lifeguard is very good and I saw him react very quickly and professionally when an old lady on a zimmer frame fell into the pool, one of the entertainers also jumped into help, which I thought was very commendable.

The food was fine for a 3 star all inclusive, a little repetitive perhaps, but that is to be expected. The chef carving gammon joints and the heated plate option were nice touches. The hotel is not exclusively English in terms of it's customers, so there has to be food options to suit other nationalities, I understand that some English people are offended by 'foreign' food, which I think is ridiculous but there were plenty of English options too. We took the opportunity to have a go and try some food that we would never have ordered in a restaurant, with no risk of a big bill and empty stomachs! We particularly enjoyed the deep fried pepper rings, they were amazing.

I personally didn't enjoy the puddings, but that's only because I'm more of a hot fudge cake type of girl, however there was a good variety and various icecreams to try and plenty of fresh fruit too. There was also a cheese and biscuits table too, which was a nice extra.

What made the holiday brilliant, was the people.
George the rep was fantastic. Having read some of the other reviews, I feel like they must be talking about a different person!? We didn't make it down the welcome meeting and he made the effort to seek us out and say hello. He was always ready to stop and say hi to his guests and was often bombarded with children running over to say hi and give him hugs.
We feel that George contributed in a very positive way to our experience at the Haiti hotel and to that of lots of other guests. Off duty he was still professional when appropriate but extremely fun and friendly and the fact alot of the Haiti guests wanted to socialise with him, we think shows what a good job he was doing.

There was a guest beach accident and subsequent fatality during our stay and the Thomson reps, the entertainment staff and the hotel staff where all incredible when dealing with it. The compassion and care shown to the relatives by the various staff was extraordinary and well exceeding the call of duty, one of the entertainment staff even looked after the little son, to allow the mother to sleep off her shock. Can't commend the staff enough.

People who are after a night out, I recommend starting at the Red Lion, the staff are lovely and the beers a good price and once George has sang Robbie Williams at you on the karaoke, head down to Charlys, which is open till 7am...

Overall a good holiday made brilliant by the people we met and the great customer service.

Room Tip: Floors 4-6 have had the bathrooms refurbished. When choosing excursions, Katmandu should be left of...

Paul and Craig were geat entertainers. Paul was very funny doing the magic and the games shows. He has a great sence of humour with his irish wit. He also came to our table and done magic tricks which were very good, a very funny guy. As for craig he was not as much fun as paul, but he was a nice chap. He was great with the kids in the swimming pool and keep them enterained for a few hours in the pool.

The Thompson reps were not that friendly at all. George was a bit full of himself.. well thats what it came across. He would not say much and walk around the pool looking for something to do and as for zoey she was on her desk most of the time looking busy and didnot really say much at all.

As for the hotel its was very clean and all the staff were very helpful. I would come again... so thanks to the two entertainer Paul and Craig for fun week we had.....

Also well done everyone...
