we arrived here on the 28 July and we go home on Sunday, first impressions were amazing and all the staff here are kind and helpful however we are 5 days into our holiday and on the 2nd day my left ear started to block up from the pool. The next day I woke up in terrible pain with my ear, we decided to see the doctor at a cost of €80. The doctor said I have an ear infection however she could not syringe my ear becaus it is swollen up. So she gave us a pescription for anti-biotics,ibrufen and ear drops. I am due to visit the doctor again tonight because I still have the infection. Putting my infection to the side this has been a fantastic Holliday!!!

Room Tip: Block 3 is fantastic

We stayed in the HVM for 2 weeks in July this year. This has recently been reopened after a very modern fit out. Rooms are spacious clean have a fridge & own tea/coffee facility in room. There is 3 blocks on site we were located in block 1 we didn't request a pool view & we had a view of the countryside which was grand. Food was grand must say good choice for main dinner & dessert. Hands had to be sanatizied before entry, Friday night was gala night they had a BBQ out the back with steak jacket potatoes food from other countries. As with most holiday villages there are 4 different restaurants to choose from tex mex also the pool bar, Mediterranean, Italian & the buffet. We ate in the mex was ok but the Italian was lovely. Plenty of things going on for the kids with the clubs or just round the pool entertainment by the staff. Entertainment staff work hard & put on some great shows. Some people you could hear we're negative at times about them but we all enjoyed it they work long days & every night on stage they make it look like the 1st time with the enthusiasm they put into it. Night time entertainment your never always going to get it right take it for what it is. Staff friendly & helpful bar waiting staff majority that work there are English. My son is 6 & he totally loved it wants to go back next yr which at the minute is a very likely possibility. On talking to others they all loved the place & for every 9 that loved it there would be 1 negative though on reflection I can't see why? All in all great time had, lots to do good fun had by us all.

Room Tip: If your looking for quietness block 1 on the north side but maybe don't get as much sun.

Really had a great time at the Holiday Village Majorca. This is our 6th HV holiday so knew what to expect.

Clean, tidy and room great - we asked for high floor, quiet room and were in 2516, exactly as we requested. Massive thanks to the Entertainment Team, Sopie, Belle, Gavin, John and Ben for keeping the kid's entertained. (Lovely to see 3 of you again).

Few points to be aware of:

Beds by Main Pool cramped. We used the "heated pool" area, much more spacious. You can't reserve beds til 8am, but some did sit reading a book on a sunbed, so surely that counts?! At least another 60 beds were delivered whilst we were there and put on the grassy area by the splash pool, so they are doing their best. Not a lot of spare room to put anymore though.

Need some railings on the walls surrounding the eve entertainment areas, big drops the other side in places.

The Proty Snack bar by the heated pool doesn't open until 12.30pm, so if want a drink, you need to walk through the resort to the main bar area. At least maybe put a water point in?

The Main Pool was closed a couple of times. A note was put through everyone's door asking that the adults take responsibility and MAKE the kids take a toilet break. What is wrong with people? So some idiot parents obviously can't even read!

There a lot of "wasps" around the soft drink self serve area. When we left a couple of days ago, it was almost a swarm. However, I was assured these are bees, no-one has ever been stung, and it is illegal to kill them as they are protected. They do try to put up traps and then release them through the night, but even the bar staff were having problems getting soft drinks at the end. They need to think of something else, kids were petrifiedl.

We paid for swimming lessons. Waste of time. We have a 4 year old who can swim 10 meters unaided, and a 8 year old who is just lazy. Both (different level of lessons) were given noodles and spent the 5 lessons pretended they were aliens or pirates chasing toys in the water. No swimming involved.

Plus side.

All the staff are very friendly and helpful. The Entertainment Team were, as usual, brilliant with the kids and adults alike. Lovely TexMex and Italian restaurant. Thank you to the Tex Mex and evening Entertainment Staff for making my birthday one to remember (maybe not for the best reasons, but hey, if I made you laugh being Pamela Anderson on stage, then I'll live with the embarresment).

No problem with food or illness.

Very enjoyable and a great resort. Only not given 5 stars due to the few negative points above.

Room Tip: Pool view rooms will also be facing the outdoor entertainment area. This finishes around 11pm, but...

We are still at the hotel we go home on Friday I just felt I had to respond to some of the negative comments.
After we arrived at the hotel on our first day after a few hours sunbathing and swimming yes the pools did get closed but this was down to down right dirty people and irresponsible parents I mean who lets their kids use the pool as a toilet even worse I think that some of it was down to adults using it as a toilet as well.
The sickness bug that people are going in about was investigated vigorously and was found to come from certain parts of England with reports coming back from local authority's schools ect of high numbers of sickness and I believe the hotel did everything it possibly could to deal with this bug but again let's be honest if my kids are sick even on holiday I keep then away from other kids again its down to irresponsible and poor parenting that led to the bug being spread.
Now about the entertainment team they have been absolutely amazing from day one don't forget these guys work from first thing in the morning right through till the next morning and they put on a absolutely great show everything is well rehearsed and they really do put there heart and soul into everything they do and they always have a big smile on there face and are always great with the kids.
To name a few Bell your amazing absolutely cracking girl great sense of humor lethal at water polo:) and a great entertainer along with Sophie another great performer Gavin and his team your all fantastic people Donna and Jordan are absolutely amazing there patience and team work are second to none really helped my son come out his shell Nathaniel the swimming instructor again amazing guy really helped my daughter progress at swimming.
So for me to finish my review I would say yes definitely come here for a great action packed holiday the only thing I can see that let the hotel down is some of the people who came to stay here.

Thanks for reading.

Just back home from an 'incredible' holiday at holiday village Majorca. ALL staff both working for first choice and local are a credit to this Hotel. Time to break it down to let you all know exactly what me and the family thought...

ROOMS -

We stayed in a normal room and nothing about this room was there to fault. Constantly clean, modern, clearly newly refurbed and the bathroom was gorgeous. The beds comfortable and the television a great hit with the family. But to be honest we used this room minimally as we were all too excited and raring to go out of the room!

FOOD -

Nobody can fault the food... Yes admittedly i have been to hotels with nicer quality food, but you could get your hands on a good variety of food all day and night, wether its a quick snack at the pool bar, show cooked food or most impressive the nestle all inclusive ice creams... You will not be let down unless your an arrogant snob! There is something for everyone!

KIDS CLUB -

All so impressive. The team are truly undeniably hardworking and dedicated. They work long hours and the kids loved going to kids club in the daytime, but they couldn't be kept away from I 5 live! Janine was a credit to the company, but one girl we met was superb. She wasn't around all the time, but when she was she always put a smile on our faces and the children's. her name was Emma, and we believe she was the manager of the kids club. wow what a professional polite and smiley character. She was a delight to meet and a credit to the company. She needs to know she is doing great things with the superb team. Five stars!!!!!

ENTERTAINMENT -

Now this has to be the most professional, dedicated, hard working, bubbly bunch of talented characters you will ever meet! If anybody was to write a negative review about this entertainment team, they would need shooting! John, Sophie, Ben, Belle, Gavin, Geordie Shores aka. Marty and Russell are all a credit to the company and phenomenal individuals. They truly make the children feel special and have an abundance of talent. Admittedly the children had a soft spot for John and Sophie, but they gave all the time in the world to them and made them feel like the only children there on holiday! Gavin is hilarious and a fantastic host and manager... He is definitely doing something right!! People could learn from him!!

The I 5 Live part of the evening is incredible, children got so involved, dancing, singing, chanting, screaming and it was a joy to see! Belle is crazy and worked great alongside The lovely smiley John on stage... Parents can get involved as much as they want, but if not their is eye candy for the men... And definitely the women!

gameshow a are light hearted fun and with the right attitude you will have a ball... We didn't get a tshirt but we sure had fun trying to get one. Gavin made us giggle each gameshow... So witty and a pleasure to watch

the main 'I kandi' as they call it... Well yes the local acts including the acrobats, jersey boys band and African stuntmen were impressive, but nothing compared to the entertainment teams shows, they were so talented! In particular John and Sophie stood out as fantastic vocalists and have a raw talent which will and needs to go far in the industry! They had great on stage chemistry! The shows anthem, abba, and Brits were amazing, though we loved electric city with the snazzy screen and mc 90s. My children still think Sophie and John are husband and wife from the glitzy wedding show.

their energy and enthusiasm needs recognition as the entertainment team made the holiday... My little ones won't stop talking about it all... Oh and of course the widgets!

REPS and STAFF -

REps phenomenal and always there to help. We looked pirates. GOGOGOGO it was amazing!!!!!! We found Tyler and Sian a real pleasure to meet, they were both so helpful and smiling. The main lady herself Tracy was a lovely woman, obviously busy, but she does a fantastic job, and with a team that big I don't blame here being busy... She always seemed to have time for guests and people mostly walked away happy, but hey you can't have everything! The other reps always seemed busy and helpful but we didn't meet them all as we didn't really have any problems!

bar staff, cleaners, reception staff all outstanding!! There to help, serve and do what they need to do so you have a great holiday... You will not be disappointed, KIm was the only one we remembered by name... What a lovely woman!!!!!

RESORT - Cannot really comment as we didn't go out much as we were permenantly entertained In the village

DAYTIME -

Loved all the daytime activities... Pool party great, archery fab, loved the high ropes and aqua fit and fun. We were gutted we only got to do one day of the new if it programme but John did a great job on the first day and anyone there now or in future should do the if it as it is fun and a good little workout... The reps all seemed to have time to play with the kids between each activity and tried to get all involved! Gavin was particularly hilarious in and around the pool, great with the adults whilst belle, John and Sophie great with the kids! Must do the water rollers and try to win the daily quiz... We got beaten I. The tie breaker!!

OVERALL

you will love it!!! Go with a mentality to have fun and you and Ll the family will not be disappointed. First choice!! Spot on!!! I hope the next HV we visit can deliver the same... As the standard has been set high!!!

have fun oh and if you have babies... Make sure you take water nappies!!!?!!! It is not fair to close a pool for irresponsibility. Happy holidays!!?

Room Tip: Pool facing is great, but maybe block one inward facing to watch the entertainment at night if you h...

We have just returned from a 10 night stay at the Holiday Village with our 11 year old son and 7 year old daughter. First impressions were great and we couldn't fault the hotel as we had e-mailed them a few days before to request a quiet room in Block 3 based on reading these reviews and they couldn't have put us in a better room. Room 3509 overlooked the kids club and splash pool so no noise at night and we had a sea view which we hadn't paid extra for!
Our son did the Football Academy and loved it and our daughter did the Razamatazz stage Academy twice!
As per other reviews the pools did have to be closed off on several days due to vomit and excrement in the pools so wasn't ideal as one of the other pools then got very crowded.
The entertainment team have just started a aqua fit session in the main pool which is a lot of fun but beware if you are sat near the front of the pool and they notice you are not in the pool they will single you out over the microphone so best to sit a few sunbeds back if you don't want to be embarrassed!
The rule re reserving sunbeds is you can't put your towels down until after 8 but what we noticed people were doing some as early as 7am were putting their towels down and then sitting on the sunbed until it was past 8am. It's not ideal but if you want a particular spot then you have to do it.
We thought that there was a good choice of food breakfast especially so.
A few people have commented on the entertainment quality especially for the adults, what people
forget is that these ladies and gentlemen are on the go every day from sunrise to sunset with a smile on their face you can clearly see that they love their job and we personally thought it wasn't that bad bearing in mind that that they are not professional acts!
We have been to the HV in Portugal several times and still think that that there is better.

Room Tip: Block 3 is definitely the quietest if you wanted to leave the entertainment early you wouldn't b...

We stayed here during the first two weeks in July. The first sign you see is "Protur Safari ****" and that is about right, it's 4 star at best. The rooms are finished to a high standard but they are only cleaned 6 days a week. Yes you can hire beach towels but again you can only change them twice a week.

We had a great room 2009 which was a swim up room that looked onto the Volleyball court, aerial adventure and was close to the splash pools. We had sun from first thing till around 3.30 when we were able to use the main pools. However when using them my wife didn't feel that they were clean and that there was a smell of urine. Upon our return home my daughter was suffering from an ear infection which her doctor felt was that bad that she was referred to hospital straight away. They diagnosed this as pseudomonas which is normally from swimming pools that do not have enough chlorine in the water! She has been in agony with this and looking at other reports she hasn't been the only one!

Yes there was also a sickness bug going round the hotel ( my daughter was sick two nights) but there was also a chickenpox scare as well.

As with other reviews the wasps were a problem when at bars or drink dispensers.

The entertainment team tried hard but it was not that entertaining, although the children all loved it.

Sounds like we had a terrible holiday, however we enjoyed ourselves and would say that as long as you don't expect 5 star luxury but rather a refurbished family hotel you will enjoy yourself. It was not value for money.

The staff worked hard and did all they could to help, however we asked for a packed lunch one day and we were given two sandwiches, three dry rolls and a bag full of fruit plus one bottle of water for three of us. We did complain and gave the lunch back, first choice did pay for our lunch that day.

The final point to note is that this was our third HV having previously been to Costa del Sol and Rhodes beforehand. As this was meant to be the new 5 star we were bitterly disappointed !

If going book the Pirate show we booked the VIP package and had a ball.

Room Tip: Swim up rooms block 2 numbers 2007-2010 are the best.
