I stayed here with my mother and brother towards the end of April for 5 days. The outside of the hotel was clean and lovely roses and big doors. Reception is spacious. We were greeted by the receptionist with a glass of wine, we declined as we don't drink alcohol. Instead she could have offered us water/juice but didn't. Anyway, quick check in.
We were given a side sea view room on the 6th Floor. You could see the sea - beautiful sea blue, but a full sea room would be recommended. The room was spacious and provided an extra bed. Rooms are cleaned daily by a lovely cheerful cleaner. Towels are changed daily too. Bathroom equipped with toiletries. The swimming pool was lovely, indoor and jacuzzi. There is alo a small gym and weighing scales for the suitcases. Staff are friendly, always saying hello and smiling. Special mention to Roshan and the head waitress (dont know her name).
Breakfast variety is great. All drinks are free for breakfast but not for dinner. Ended up spending money on sparkling water but I asked for still water but this was due to lack of english/spanish communication barrier. One complaint was the lack of choice for vegetarians at dinner. I lived off the deserts which were yummy.
Staff clear your plates and ask you for drinks. The beach is in front of the hotel, beautiful. Location is great. No loudness/noise at night. Loads of food shops and supermarkets along the coast and behind the hotel. Walk up to Cala bona, around 35-45mins, recommend for cheaper souvenirs. We went on an excursion to la calobra and sommer - really beautiful - recommend that £50 as you get to see rest of mallorca.. Hotel is 45-60mins away from Palma (airport).
I would stay here again. Lovely holiday. Great value.

Just spent seven days at this hotel in Cala Millor. We were three adults and two children under five.Very impressed with the high standard this hotel offers. The rooms were spotless and cleaned every day.Food was exceptional with amazing choices at breakfast and dinner. The staff were lovely and nothing was too much trouble. The location is perfect and we had rooms at front of hotel with balconies overlooking the sea.The children loved the indoor pool and jacuzzi as the outdoor pools were still a bit chilly for them.I've been to Mallorca before but this hotel actually made the holiday for us very special and memorable. We would recommend it to anyone and a special mention to Roshan who excels at customer service and accompanied us to the outdoor market in Arta which was very good and also to the prehistoric village near to the resort. The facilities at the hotel are very good and we made use of Internet access. It is definitely suitable for couples and families as stated on the website we booked through. We feel that we've had a very refreshing and invigorating holiday break with a fantastic hotel in a lovely resort on the lovely island of Mallorca.

Our stay was between 23rd - 26th January. We wanted to see what this coastline is like out of season, so first of all finding a hotel open was a bonus, and to find one this good was even better. As expected the resort was extremely quiet, although there was always a handful of people walking about. A few hotels were open, quite a few shops, and the odd bar or restaurant.

Specifically though, the Playa del Moro was well occupied. We were given a drink on arrival and also the wifi code – without even asking for it. We must have looked the sort. The location, right on the seafront was fantastic, and it’s adjacent to the pedestrian area shopping zone as well. We hired a car as we wanted to drive around; roadside parking was available outside the hotel, maybe in the height of summer parking spaces won’t be so close. We were one of only two British couples in the hotel, ironically the other couple lived on Mallorca and were just having a weekend away. The age group was generally ‘mature’ ;).

We had a junior suite, at the side of the building. The bed was massive and incredibly comfortable for a hotel bed, and was always turned at night with a chocolate left on each side. All the main BBC and ITV channels were available on the TV, as was Sky News, although I think some satellite changes were pending in February. The balcony was a bit small, but that didn't bother us. A great feature of the bathroom was the infrared heat lamp, quite useful in the winter season. Bath robes were provided. The only thing lacking from the room was tea and coffee making facilities. We had to imagine what the attractive pool deck would be like with people using it, but even empty it looked great, especially lit up at night. The indoor pool was really good, the heating was on and we spent a couple of hours relaxing on the loungers.

The thing that really set this hotel above all expectation was the restaurant. In modern surroundings the food is displayed and served in quite a funky way, trendy little dishes, pots, bowls etc and the quality is superb. If you like starters and desserts you will have an absolute field day. I’m not a massive dessert fan, but all these little dishes of treats were shouting EAT ME! Main courses were varied and tasty and the hotel themes some of the food: Mexican, Italian etc. I also established quite a liking for neighbouring Menorcan cheese (widely available to buy at the airport by the way). On the Friday night they had a champagne reception and a chocolate fountain with all the usual fruit on sticks. And on the Sunday you could have champagne for breakfast.

Weather wise, it was 14-18 C daytime, and mostly clear skies. We drove around all our usual haunts, from Cala Bona all the way down to Es Trenc, it was quite odd to see everything so quiet, Cala d’Or was the quietest of the lot. Before flying home we went to Santa Ponsa and Port d’Andratx in the south west. By then it was 18 degrees and t-shirt weather, there were plenty of bars and restaurants open in these areas, and we had a fantastic lunch at Port d'Andratx (which was buzzing), with amazing views over the bay.

A brilliant few days away, a great time to visit the island, and a fantastic hotel for our base.

We came back a number of weeks ago after spending 12 days at the Playa Del Moro.We have nothing but praise for all the staff there who made our stay very memorable, in particular Roshan who had lots of time to ensure everything was to the guests liking and Mark who did his utmost best to get the guests involved in the day time and evening activities (despite many refusals he "always looked on the bright side of life"). Many thanks to the kitchen staff for the wonderful and varied "theme night" foods. See you all next year.

My husband and I stayed at the playa del Moro in August 2013. We were impressed from the minute we arrived, the reception were kind and friendly our bags were taken to our room and we were shown to our room which was good hate wandering around looking for room. Food was amazing and restaurant staff extremely helpful and pleasant. The hotel was spotless and there were always sun beds available if u weren't fussy where they were. The only thing we complained about was a smell in the bathroom at peak times, we did lodge a complaint but nothing was done, but it didn't spoil our holiday and we will definitely be back, possibly next year ! Thanks for a fab holiday playa del Moro. Jacqueline and Clive Newby.

Booked a four night stay with EasyJet on a promotional half board deal. Good value on that basis, otherwise a bit pricey.
Excellent professional and effective service from female receptionist. Generally cannot fault the staff, all very professional.
Nicely prepared food though restaurant closes at 8.30pm. Free wifi throughout. Comfortable bed.
Good sea view from sunny balcony. Hotel more or less next to the beach.
Mainly German guests as resort seemed to cater mainly for German tourists . Nice resort.
Altogether an enjoyable relaxing short break

Room Tip: I had room 801 where the sun shines on the balcony all day on that side of the hotel and offers a go...

Arrived at the cala del moro on the Friday 6th sept 2013,fell through the revolving door after my wife had got the suitcase trapped couldn't stop laughing there waiting for us at reception was a glass of orange nice start soon booked in and off to the room not forgetting the safe key 10e returnable deposit.
We were on the 2nd floor overlooking the beach, would have been better on the 3rd floor but still a good view.
The room was a good size 2 beds together, flat screen tv,decent size wardrobes & draws.fridge with drinks in,drink them and you pay for them, plenty of spar shops about.
Bathroom ok with good shower, the air con worked ok.
The rooms are not the best sound proof we have been in,had someone snoring next door which came right through the walls.
Its a nice restaurant serving buffet meals, the food was very good with a good selection, the sweets had good variety, the service was good at the table.breakfast starts at 8-30am.theres a good selection of food [ cold if early dep. ] no matter what time you depart from the hotel for your flight home.
The outside pool area is a nice area, good size pool & indoor pool, plenty of sunbeds and here it comes.THE GERMANS ARE UP AT CRACK OF DAWN FOR THE BEDS,we witnessed the germans putting towels on the beds when departing for an early flight home 6-30am in the morning.the hotel management do NOTHING TO STOP THIS.The beach is only 50yds away that's why they say nothing, still wrong though.
The hotel guest list is made up of 95% of germans along with the resort of Cala Millor,in fact it's just about run by the germans, bars, shops and restaurants are german.not many Spanish or English.
The Cala Millor resort is a nice resort with a good long promenade around 2 miles long and flat, plenty of bars and restaurants,a very good beach where you can hire 2 beds & a parasol for 12 euro a day. It's kept very clean and tidy.we were paying as some bars 1.60 for a pint of Miguel and 4 euro for 0.5L of sangria.
We stayed for a week and did no sight seeing just chilling.
Would we go back to this hotel,we would like to BUT ! it's overrun with germans inside and outside the hotel,it's amazing how they never acknowledge you, just look right through you with that cold look they have.If you can live with that it's a nice place to stay.

Room Tip: Book 3rd floor and above for good view.
