My Family stayed at this hotel during August 2013 for 1 week, and for the most part had a very enjoyable time. The rooms are modern and well equipped - we opted for a sea-view on the top floor. The food was excellent and varied and the service very good. The pool area was great and my son really enjoyed the soccer pitch. We tried the kids club on a few occasions but the activities were not active enough for our very energetic 7 year old.
Unlike every other hotel I’ve stayed in abroad, I wasn’t given the option to pay in the destination currency when checking out - instead the hotel applied their own exchange rate which, when calculated, made the final bill considerably more expensive. I consider this bad practice. When I discovered what had happened I spoke with the hotel manager (Fernado) by phone who agreed with my comments but said it was hotel policy - be careful!

This was a return trip as we had enjoyed it so much last year. We were warmly greeted at reception and from that moment on were treated as valued guests. The hotel has three building's on the site and we were in building 1. The rooms are very spacious with 2 sofa's that convert to beds if needed and a large bathroom with bath and overhead shower and two sinks. The bedroom had two large comfortable single beds with memory foam mattress and a choice of pillows. The room has flat screen tv, desk, two armchairs, a fridge and a safe. There is plenty of wardrobe space. The doors lead onto a large balcony with a sea view. The swimming pool is large in three sections and there are plenty of sun loungers even though the hotel was full. There is a nice bar by the pool and a large seated area where the evening entertainment took place. The food was outstanding and 8innovative. Congratulations to the chefs. All the staff were helpful and worked really hard to make it a great experience. The hotel is exceptionally well cared for and clean and I can't recommend it hihhky enough. We will look forward to returning soon.

Room Tip: Building 1 has sea views

Fishcake had a most enjoyable stay at this hotel recently and would like to pass on his sincere thanks to all the lovely staff.

Fishcake felt that the hotel was rather modern and had all the facilities required.

Fishcake thought the pool area and gardens were lovely, with hundreds of sunbeds, more than plenty for all the guests.

Fishcake was in a group with some young kids, they loved the place and especially the kids club girls who took great care of them.

Fishcake has some lovely meals at the hotel, Fishcake felt that the selection of food was top notch.

Fishcake would have liked for the sauna to be switched on in the morning as when Fishcake has been on a heavy booze session he likes to sweat it out before he gets back on it.

Fishcake thought the place was so well maintained and really clean.

Fishcake thinks you have some amazing staff members.

Fishcake liked the fact that the majority of guests were German, a great crowd to be about.

Once again Fishcake would like to convey his thanks to everyone for an enjoyable stay.

Just returned and we were a family of 7 which included 2 seven year olds. Excellent hotel and location. Nice pool and you can hire towels and change them daily.we went all inc and there was good selection and the kids always got something at the buffets. Beware if you're veggie like me and check what's in stuff as you will find ham and fish is on a lot of stuff.we had a junior suite and there was two big single beds in the main room and two small beds in a small open style room just along from our bed. Extremely clean all round the place. Entertainment team fantastic and there is mini disco then a show also suitable for kids and entertainment finishes at 10.30.plenty for kids and adults during the day for when you want a break from sunbathing.my only negative is that the all inc alcoholic drinks were not great and poor choice. You can't ask for bottles of water either and no mojitos on the menu which we were looking forward to. Mostly Germans at this hotel which was fine and we went at a week when no English kids were off as we are on the Isle of Man and we had TT week off .Overall a lovely hotel for families.

Rooms (Standard double room):
Positives:
-spacious room/bathroom
-large beds (2 singles together)
-spotlessly clean
-very modern decor/TV
-very powerful shower unit (no bath which some may see as a negative)
-tonnes of storage space
-2 separate balconies!!
-air conditioning controls by the side of the bed
-a few English channels (a few of the Spanish channels show English TV programs even though they are advertised in Spanish)

Negatives
-no tea and coffee making facilities

Food
Positives:
-a very very large selection of hot food at every meal including meat cooked to order, pasta cooked to order, curry, stew, paella, pork, lamb, chicken, chips, vegetables, potatoes etc etc
-a very very large selection of everything else...salad, colds meats, cheese, olives, pickles, breads, sushi, bruchetta etc etc
-gorgeous deserts- both to look at and to eat
-a large selection of fresh fruit

-Negatives (sort of):
-very slightly repetitive but that is to be expected when going all inclusive

Pool/Pool Area
Positives:
-the pool was lovely and surrounding area very clean
-there were plenty of sunbeds and parasols at all times of day
-very peaceful (apart from certain Germans yacking away for hours on end!)
-great snack/ bar area (a good variety of quality drinks and sandwiches/toasties, ice creams, lollies, slushy ice drinks, frozen yogurt, croissants, muffins and various other pastries

Other
Positives:
-every single member of staff were great with children
-the animation team were great. Although we didn't have children with us, and didn't wish to take part in the activities they regularly advertised, there was plenty of opportunity for kids and adults to have fun and try news things i.e. water polo/volleyball, zumba, water aerobics, darts, archery, rifle shooting etc
-the location of the hotel is central to everything! the beach, restaurants, bars, tourist shops, chemists, bike hire etc
-the wifi was free and was surprisingly fast everywhere in the hotel

Negatives:
-when my boyfriend and i arrived at the hotel the staff at the front desk made us feel a little uncomfortable talking and laughing away in Spanish because, at first, one member of staff couldn't find our booking
-although this isn't the fault of the hotel, the German guests (99% of the guests in the hotel) began to grate on us. the vast majority of them had absolutely no manners what so ever and looked utterly miserable! i gave up queuing in the dining room in the end and just pushed in like everyone else!

This hotel really did live up to the reviews we'd read which convinced us to book. It was really nicely decorated, very clean and spacious. The location is fantastic too only yards from the beach, bars and restaurants. We got a junior suite as we have a baby and it gave us more room for his buggy etc. the suite had a separate sleeping area for his cot too which was nice. A huge bonus is the number of sun beds, there were more than enough for the hotel guests with loads unused every day. They were also really comfy. Our only complaint about the hotel is that the air conditioning doesn't kick in until it's 24 degrees outside. It was only 22/23 when we visited but the thermostat in the room said it was 25/26! We woke up sweating each night. Despite this we are certainly planning to return in the future and will be perfect when our son is older.

Fab hotel immaculate!
Lovely rooms, we had a Junior suite overlooking the sea kept very cleam by the lovely Mamouma the cleaner best ever.
Pool area great very spacious no early towels reserving beds a bonus. Outdoor bar very efficient, and pristine clean, All Inclusive drinks cheap brands not premium and quite expensive to upgrade to better brand 30% discount but the original price was high.Waiters Jesus, Dada and the ever smiling Emilio also friendly and helpful
Food good great choice, but the area where the food was cooked to order was mayhem people queuing for some food then others pushing in...oh yes they were German of course, most of them have no manners seem to think we are invisable!
Selena in the mini club is a true asset to the hotel, she is amazing, and takes every child under her wing, they all loved her , what a star ...my Grandaughter has talked about her to everyone once she arrived home , dont loose her Hip Hotels she is soooo good.
Dora and Carlos and of course Selena were great in the shows we saw,so professional, in fact all of the Animation team seemed to be practicing for the new shows constantly when not on duty. We had taken holiday clothes to dress up at night but once we had our Dinner we had to go back to the room to get changed into warm clothing as all entertainment was outside, a few nights it was freeezing cold, only 3 heaters so it was a fight who got them of course, yes it was the Germans!! It was such a pity to see the children taking part in the mini disco with thick coats and trousers on when there was a stage inside. I complained to the manager, he said they couldnt fit everyone inside but that wasnt true as the hotel was quiet for more than half our holiday.
I realise the entertainment was rehearsed to be outside but they could have definitely put the disco in the warmth of the hotel
