I and four other family members organised a four day all-inclusive break at the end of April 2014. The hotel is very good, clean and the food was all freshly prepared and tasted very good. The staff were very friendly and helpful and nothing was too much trouble. Mijas is only a short bus ride away, as is Fuengirola and the bus stop is only approximately 50yds away from the main entrance. As this hotel appears to cater mainly for coach tours just staying overnight we had the pool area virtually to ourselves all day and the staff were very well organised in dealing with the extra "bodies" each evening and by the time we went in for breakfast they had all gone on their merry way. There is no entertainment on in the evening and if you want to shop you either have to go to Mijas or Fuengirola, not a problem for us because we knew that when we booked. Would definitely recommend this place, nothing was too much trouble to make our stay enjoyable. We shared 3 to a room, one in a double bed and 2 others in separate singles, the room was cleaned daily and was a good size. No kettle in the room but not a problem for us as we had looked the hotel up and brought our own travel kettle. The hotel is a lot bigger than we thought, not a high rise. We didn't have a balcony but looking around there were quite a few without a proper balcony, apparently you have to request a balcony. Below the hotel are conference rooms and there is also a private function room to the side of the hotel. If I was considering organising a special event this would be my perfect venue. I would like to pass on my thanks to all the staff at the Hotel for making us all feel so welcome and special thanks from Veronica.

Just back from a one night stay, we found this to be a very good hotel good sized rooms clean and modern with all facilities. Good pool with great views.
Hotel in good location with cheap frequent buses just outside or inexpensive taxi ride to Mijas which we found to be a nice town with plenty of shops and eating places.
Hotel staff friendly and helpful, breakfast was of a good standard.
Only slightly irritating was the hotel wanted a deposit for everything, safety deposit boxes swimming pool towels etc.
Allin all we thought this was a very good hotel for a short break.

Room Tip: Ask for a room at the back with views over pool and valley, also these are away from the main road t...

Stayed for one night with Riviera recently. Room was very nice with fantastic views up the mountainside to Mijas. Breakfast was perfectly adequate, typical of that served by most hotels in Spain, Italy etc and other than avoiding the orange juice as other reviews have mentioned, it is absolutely fine. The pool is excellent and there is plenty of outdoor seating. We caught a bus from outside the hotel into Mijas for our evening meal and it only takes 5 mins or so.

We stayed here one night. This wasn’t a seaside hotel but that didn’t matter. It was a stopover on a tour and we were away the following morning. But we had an afternoon there which was spent up the hill in Mijas a lovely little town easily reached by bus. Our three-course lunch there cost only €8.
The room was superb in all departments - we asked for extra pillows which came straight away.
The air conditioning had been set just right and we didn’t have to touch it. There was Sky News on TV which was the only English channel we could find.
We would have preferred a separate shower. This one was over the bath which could be tricky for old folks clambering in and the wall handle was loose. The surprising thing about continental hotels is that they can afford to spend a lot of money on a useless bidet yet can’t provide a kettle and a tea bag. (We carry our own!). There was a safe but it cost €2.50.
The evening buffet was as good as you’ll get anywhere – a fine choice of fruits, fish, meats, salads and deserts – as much as you could eat. It cost €16 each with house wine at €10 and we loved it! The restaurant was beautifully appointed overlooking the outdoor pool. There was also an indoor pool, and sauna and tennis. Drinks were moderately priced and it was a delight to sit out and enjoy.
The excellent breakfast buffet had all the things you would find in England as well as the continental fare. The only flaw was that, like all these hotels, they had no idea how to cook bacon – it was uneatable! But this was indeed a four star hotel well chosen for our stay.

Where do I start? I've just been here on a family girls holiday and stayed here for 4 days, arrived early hours 26 April 2014. This was so much more than we expected, we stayed all inclusive and the food and drinks were fantastic! Buffet breakfast...amazing, buffet evening meal... never went hungry, the lunch was a set menu but 3 choices for all 3 courses plus a choice from the snack bar menu, burgers, chips, sandwiches, the list goes on..., we had 3 adults in our room and all wanted our own beds we had , 1 double bed, 2 singles, there was plenty of room! there were 2 or 3 plug sockets but we took a multi adapter and were fine. No kettle in he room but we took a travel one. The only problem I had was my matteress but within 10 minutes I had a new one! The staff are great!

Every where is so clean!! When we did stay by the pool for the day we were the only ones there, then the coach came late afternoon from the Riviera Tours and everyone was lovely.

The weather averaged 28 degrees, not a cloud in the sky!

You can get the bus to Mijas 15 mins or to Fuengirola 15 mins 1euro 55, buses are every 30 mins.

This is a beautiful hotel and a lot bigger than it looks.

I would like to thank all the staff at Hacienda for having us (and Veronica lol), can't wait to see you all next year! :)

the hotel was in the middle of nowhere so we had to stick with it. Although there was an outdoor swimming pool we were not allowed to swim before 10 am. breakfast & dinner were mediocre. Because it was too far to the centre we had to dine in in the evening. The weather was very nice and warm but dinning outside was banned. The room and bathroom were clean and there were toothbrushs, razers and shampoo etc in the bathroom. Actually ,this hotel was our first and the best accommodation compare to the rest -Hotel Don Paco in Seville and Hotel Corona in Granada- The meals should have to be improved. Briefly, The Riviera Tour was a bad choice.
