having just lost my husband, I took my son and daughter with their partners here for a 3 night stay. It brought back lovely memories. We had the same Monte Villa 3 bed that my late husband and myself had stayed in on previous years. The villa was clean, private, view perfect and staff were very helpful. I booked this privately with the complex. Hire a car is very advisable. We would recommend this to anyone if they wanted a chill out break as you have a private garden.
We are looking forward to our next break here.

Room Tip: ask for a villa as private garden and swimming pool serve 4-6 apartments.

We had a very pleasant stay. Depending on unit it could be a long walk to the beach. Having a hired vechile to explore the area's attractions is highly recommended.
The cupboards smelled quite musty due being closed for long time over the winter period. Good stay overall.

My wife and I recently returned from a 13 day holiday at Miraflores Beach and Country Club. The Club complex is spread over a large area in a residentual estate and it is a complete lottery as to where you will be placed during your stay. We were very disapointed to find that we had been allocated an apartment in the Rancho Number1 Block which was 1km up a very steep hill away from reception and was a further 1km away from any shops or bars/ Restaurants and was 1km away from the beach which was across the main dual carraigeway between Marbella and Malaga. If you are staying in this part of the Club you will require a car to get around unless you are extremely fit or have the metabolism of a mountain goat. Fortunately we had a hire car and were able to get around without much difficuty. The apartment itself and gardens were extremely well kept. We could not fault the cleanliness of the apartment or the supply of towels during our stay. Unfortunately all the facilities at the pool area were closed for the duration of our stay and we were unable to get a drink or snack at any time. It will depend on potluck where you are located and that will have a bearing on how enjoyable your stay will be. If you are a beach lover then this Club is unlikely to be to your satisfaction as there is only a dirty shingle public beach with a few worn sun shades and loungers about and no pool at that area. Had it not been for the fact that we had the use of a hire car and used it every day to get about our holiday would have been an unhappy experience. We will not be back.

Room Tip: Request to be located in an apartment in the block on the sea front as you will be located in a bloc...

We have just come back from a week here with all our family. We had booked through our timeshare company. We were given 2 apartments at the top end of the resort (Monte B), fortunately we had hired a car!! When I booked didn't realise that although reception is right next to A7 the apartments are at the top of the resort & you need a car - not suitable for anyone with mobility problems. Also reception is only open 3 days a week, can be contacted by phone outside those days.
Each block has 6 apartments, our apartments, although being consecutive numerically, were above/below each other rather than next door. The other 4 apartments were being decorated during the week.
The apartments were spacious & clean. We had cleaning done Tues (linen & towels) & Thurs (towels only). If you like hard beds then it's fine, but these were worse than hard...the mattresses didn't give at all when you sat on them, so we ended up putting blankets under the sheets to try to soften them. As previously mentioned we had to pay €45 per apartment for Electricity & Water but spent little time there - a meter would have been preferable. We also had to 'rent' a DVD player for a NON refundable €25 - could have bought a new one cheaper!!
There were supposed to be 2 pools although 1 was closed, which we knew about. The usable pool was unheated & had a very small paddling pool for the kids - also unheated. Although it was half term it was VERY quiet - which was a huge bonus. There were enough beds for everyone there, but no parasols & the pool was in the sun all day - not good for little ones.
Nearby amenities are good, Spanish, Indian, Italian & Argentinian restaurants, Supermarket which is open until 9.30pm every day, & Internet cafe. We ate at the Spanish, Indian (Popadom) & Italian. Spanish was poor, food nothing special, should have suspected something when no one else came into the restaurant when we were there. Indian was fantastic, food & service were excellent, the owner (Simon) couldn't have been more helpful - even said we could get food from Italian for the children & take it back there. Leftover food was put into doggy bags too. Italian was ok, food not bad, always busy, therefore service a little slow at times.
We did visit the Miraflores beach one day - had to drive down to reception, leave the car there & walk a across the bridge. Very disappointed, beach is mainly pebbles, there were no beds & only 1 bar/restaurant. So we left. We drove to nearby La Cala which has a fantastic beach, lots of shops (incl a large supermarket) & restaurants & a couple of play areas for children.
Have been going to that area of the Costa del Sol for several years, but would not go back here.

it is a lovely resort located in beautiful grounds.we booked our stay with Interval International as an exchange for our timeshare. The apartments were very well equipped&spacious. The staff ran the extra mile to please,no request was rejected. A car is a must to go shopping or sight seeing/enjoying more beaches near the resort however reception could get you a taxi any time. Those taxis were very reasonably priced. We all enjoyed staying there. Our ages were :youngest 8yrs,oldest 78young.3 generations

Room Tip: the best apartments are those located in the(P)blocks i.e the three blocks on the (playa)beach. p...

it is a wonderful place with very nice gardens and pools, we spent a very plaisant week and the weather was very good but the problem is that we have booked through a booking website and it is no mentionned the area where you wish to book in because MIRAFLORES is a pretty big area and the apartments were about 2 or 3 Kms from the nearest supermarkets and beach.

Booked an apt in this M B & Country Club which cost £740 for 2 people from 22nd August -29th through booking.com, on arrival at reception we were told to book a taxi to the apt it cost 6 euros. The apt was ok but nothing like the pictures on website. As for a sea view that was a joke. and if you get an apt half way or at the top of the resort as we did then you need hiking boots. The apt had aircon that was broke so a small fan was placed in the corner of the room. The noise was so bad outside with some sort of generator in operation we could not even open the balcony doors. It was like being in a furness the heat was that intense. I asked to be moved within 5 mins of arriving I was told someone will call be back, after 40 mins I called back again and a person replied and told me they had called me several times, they did not call me back, I was informed I would have to wait for 3 days before we would be moved which I agreed to, I then asked why aircon would not come on, their reply was did you book with booking.com I replied yes, well you dont get aircon when you book with with booking.com. so I asked does the new apt have aircon, reply was no there are only 3 apartments with aircon and yours is not one of them.

I could not believe in the year 2013 there was no aircon in this complex, they boast about how marvelous this complex is but they do not mention no aircon. I have stayed in this area for over 20 years and have never come across an apt or hotel with no aircon. We collected our bags and went to reception in another taxi and told them we were not prepared to stay in this complex as we felt conned by the way they had portrayed this complex on the website. They refused to refund any money so we left. I contacted bookin.com they were very sympathetic at first and emailed us saying so. They promised to call us back right away, they never, so I called them back the following day and they changed tack and stated the same retoric as M B & Country Club saying you only get whats it states on the email they send you well I dont remember a small fan on the email, but then that would alarm you to the fact no aircon was avalable.

Thie complex was a mishmash and public roads running through it, it states on the website that a car is needed to fully enjoy the resort, we visit the same area every year and have never needed a car, we picked this complex because of the location but the apt was miles away from the beach. and that is reason I feel this complex is very misleading. Also the staff were very unproffessional just wanting to get rid of you, every question we asked they gave a very well rehearsed negative answer.

Room Tip: Example 3 is N/A because there is none aircon.
