This park is great especially for kids. The queues are long for the slides (i didn't mind as i can't swim). The aqua aerobics is just fab. It's clean. Well worth it.

Lets face it, it's not for adults. The kids however had great time and don't care about the 20 minute wait for slides. Take a leaflet for the discount and you are looking at c.80 euros for family of 4, locker, lunch, 2 sun beds & a couple of beers. The staff are friendly enough and queues are well managed. Everyone loves the Pool Zumba. If you don't want to spend the money don't bother going and that will be less time waiting for the rest of us.

If your reading mine or anyone else's reviews you know this is not a cheap day out so you have been warned. When you get to the airport and people hand you leaflets take them all there will be one for discounted tickets so that will help. Take a packed lunch ( they are more than ok with this but no glass allowed) this will save you more. If you sit on the grassy area that is fine but if you have a sun lounger it will cost you €4 each ( but as a grown up trust me this is money well spent for some comfort!) the kids don't need one you won't see them most of the day. Yes you have to pay for a safe if you want one and yes the kids will need to hire a giant ring €7 if they don't want to wait in the queue to have the free one (on busy days, weekends this is a must) downside is they hire them out for 2 lots of 4 hours 10-2 and 2-6 so if you get one at half 1 you would technically only have half hour. This was our third time here and we have learnt get there early or pre book your tickets and don't go on a weekend it is packed with locals however our kids were 9 and 11 when we first went they are now 15 and 17 and still had just as much fun as did we smaller kids will be far more limited as to what they can go on but there are other activities for them. I have given it an average review as it is too expensive to get in but we still go as its a beautiful setting, plenty of lifeguards around and lots to do its just a shame about the cost but if you look at a day at Thorpe park or Alton towers etc.. It probably isn't much different in cost to that.

Went to Parque Acuatico Mijas on September 1 - the first day of shortened opening hours. We went after 14:30 to get the 30% discount and bought a family ticket. The discount if off the gross price if we'd bough the tickets individually so was about 15% off the family price. Their pricing is opaque in their marketing to say the least.

The bus from Portillo bus station in Fuengerola is 1.50 each way or 2.90 return. It is actually walking distance from the centre, but as we have little ones and were unsure of the way we took the bus which was infrequent on Sunday, but on time, clean and pleasant.

You can take snacks in and there is an assortment of food bail able inside such as smoothies, waffles, donuts and ice-cream. All priced about 3-5€ a pop.

There is a storage area near the changing rooms and you can purchase a locker which will fit wallets, cameras and phones in for 3.5 plus a returnable deposit. All worked very well. You can also store larger items in baskets, but we did not use this service.

The changing rooms were pleasant, spacious and clean. The toilets and showers were clean and without queues despite leaving at the peak time just before closing at 6pm.

There is free wifi on site.

The rides themselves had queues but those were shaded and not long - about five minutes for most. The wave machine was working and a great hit for my 5 and 7 year olds. There was a great kiddie area for my five year old who didn't quite make the height for the other rides, but he was fully occupied. There are numerous beds for hire for 4€ a day, but there was also grassy areas for laying towels down 'beach style'. We were hardly at our towels so the fact the towels were cosy next to someone else's who was hardly there was no biggie.

It isn't a huge water parc but it was a good afternoon out and although it was busy, we didn't find this to be a problem as others had recently. The only issue we really had was the opaque pricing

We went last week and I can't really believe the recent reviews. Firstly, in the Airport pick up vouchers that give you 5 Euros off each person and you can print off other vouchers in advance that give you free sun bed use, or free mini golf etc. The longest we queued was about 5-10 minutes which was for the lazy river type thing. It doe's get busier in the afternoon so go early, it opens at 10 am we did every ride twice before lunch. You don't have to hire sun beds you can use shaded grassed areas as a base and go from there. They do a lunch meal deal which although is reasonably priced considering its a captive audience at 7 euros you got a burger chips drink and an ice cream and they could have charged a lot more.
