Description: Aroma Café & Secret Garden is a truly unique restaurant on the Costa del Sol. Firstly the restaurant is located in an old house dating to 1872 with many nooks and crannies to discover. Within its walls a whole world opens, starting with arguably Mijas´ most beautiful Andaluz Patio. Follow the Patio to its end and let a whitewashed passage guide you to our gem on the crown, the Secret Garden. Here you will find Mijas as it was a century ago, an enchanted forest of olive, orange, fig and loquat trees. Stroll to the end of this sprawling garden and you will discover an ancient ´water mine´ dating back to the Moorish times. In our garden you will enjoy Argentinean BBQ prepared right before your eyes into the early mornings on warm summer nights. Our celebrity Chef from the Canary Islands meanwhile prepares sumptuous dishes which will tempt you to come back time and again until all that is offered has been tasted! Now just come discover for yourself, our friendly team awaits you!!!

“Great food, excellent service nice little find”
Reviewed April 7, 2014 via mobile

We found this little gem as we were on a walking tour of Mijas. They could not have been more accomodating. We ordered pretty much every 1/2 racion tapas and they were all excellent. I would recommend this place to anyone looking for a relaxing meal with truly stellar service.

“Hidden Gem”
Reviewed April 6, 2014

As you walk past it's just another Spanish Restaurant, but is it, step inside and be transformed, today was just a day for mooching a cups of Cafe, so having had our Cafe we used their services (Towels - Soap) and clean toilets, when you looked through the window you can see the outside courtyard with places set for meals and a sign marked the Secret Garden, the waitress came over and ask would we like to see the Secret Garden into the Courtyard and through the Secret Garden door takes you into another large seating area with Umbrella's Trees rose bushes, two bars and a V large BBQ, we where told that this was due to open in a couple of weeks time so look out here we come

“Fabulous restaurant off the beaten path!”
Reviewed March 11, 2014

My wife and I ate here after travelling throughout Spain for 5 weeks. It was a wonderful meal. The Argentinian bbq was very different than the spanish food we'd been eating and was delicious. We'd definitely return if we have the chance.

“Relaxing”
Reviewed March 10, 2014

Visited with my sister for lunch on a Tuesday - she had been there before to the Secret Garden. The Garden was closed as it doesn't open until Spring. We sat in the cafe atrium which was warm and sunny. It was a very relaxed and unhurried lunch. The service was good and so was the tapas and the cost was very reasonable. Would definitely go again.
