Just returned from our fourth holiday at Club la Costa Marina del Sol. Same lovely apartment overlooking the sea. Friendly staff, loads to do and the weather was fantastic. Going back soon!

Room Tip: Ask for sea view if possible.

Stayed at Marina del Sol for 7 nights as part of my timeshare exchange. We were given a two bedroom townhouse which was a good size for 4 of us. Had everthing you would need for a self catering week but we chose to eat out. Our apartment was next to El Rancho restaurant and for the first set of steps we shared with the restaurant. We found the apartment very noisey. Cars and mopeds coming and going at all hours and early morning deliveries. The apartment was very hot and could not open the windows for the noise. After 3 nights I spoke to reception and they moved us. The next apartment was a little quieter but had the same hard bed as the first one. My husband even complained about it and he can sleep anywhere. Maid service was only once a week, fine for the cleaning but would have liked towels changed more often. Nice selection of pools to choose from with shade if you required it. Ate at Zacharys which had a very English menu and El Ranch which is a BBQ both OK The complex is very close to the beach and a short walk to the beginning of fuengirola but quite a long walk to get to the centre and fish alley(main restaurants). Bus stop two minutes away and very easy to use at only 1 euro 40 cents each very cheap to get around. Try going to La cala about 4 stops in Marbella direction, lovely peaceful village with nice restaurants. Liked to location of this complex but found it very large and busy compaired to the exchanges we have had before in the same area.

Room Tip: Ask for a quiet room away from the bar and restaurants

Perfect location for us as we had a large group and wanted to be all together. The ccompany duly obliged and we were all located around the one pool. The onsite restaurants are fine for a snack but I wouldn't be having my main meal there.

The cocktails are savage :)

We were lucky as our room (studio) had a double bed but some of the apartments only had 2 singles, which is annoying for couples. Our apartment didn't have Air Con only fans, other apartments did. Fine at the start of June but a nightmare when the season gets warmer.
The one and two bed apartments are savage!

Very handy for the beach, a bus or even a stroll into Fuengirola.

Room Tip: Ask for Air con and a double bed

We accepted a cheap holiday in return for a marketing program - and it was enjoyable.

We didn't return fans of the Costa del Sol, but my views of the type of resort Club La Costa run has changed. We had a nice two-bed house, well equipped and very comfy. The youngest enjoyed the pools - the heated one was handy as it was still nippy in early June.

The resort was quite quiet - thankfully - so we could enjoy chilling out on the terrace or beside the pool. Everywhere was very clean and tidy, and the staff were very helpful and friendly. The choice in the restaurants was very "samey" and unspanish. My one tip for improving the place would be to have a more traditional Tapas bar - but perhaps that doesn't fit the clientele tha normally holiday there.

I'd say a car is almost essential - if you like "pan-euro" food and don't need to go shopping then everything is there. Trips and excursions are arranged so there is no need to stay on site, and the prices on those were not too bad.

I completely got the deal they were trying to sell, but it just didn't fit the type of holidaying that we enjoy, plus we didn't want to tie ourselves into a finance deal at the moment.

Very nice break, and interesting to try out the large resort holiday. Great in early June, but can't imagine enjoying it so much if we went in the height of the season.

working towards the end of a trial membership..had a bolt on few days in one of the older units all was clean but had no comparison with the San Deigo etc suites. They are worlds apart. Reception excellent... Rooms cleaned...local shops ok ..ish. We found Team Marina and particularly a worker called Gary absolutely brilliant with our disabled daughter, he really went the extra mile. I forgot to leave him a tip (sorry Gary) ooops.

CLC bugged us a little bit to change from our trial but not too much. Overall CLC has been a positive experience with a few hiccups too many to invest in over mnay years

Yes... we were one of those couples that were offered and accepted a weeks free flight/ accommodation at "Club La Costa" and it was brilliant...Lovely well equipped 2 bed house, comfortable beds even with a fury blanket..quiet lovely well tended gardens, pool and tennis courts.Very nice helpful staff in all depts. We did the promotional presentation (try and get on the morning tour) with Andrew G. who charming, witty, polite and did not pressurise us ... Time-share is not our speed ...but it was a very informative and entertaining morning and we can see how Club La Costa would suit a lot of people.. The major bonus for us was that we have now visited more places in Andalucia (we had a hire car) Ronda,Antequera,El Torcal,Mijas,Nerja and the lovely city of Malaga.... so thank you Club La Costa for giving us a warm welcome and a memorable week ..... highly recommended.

Room Tip: try for Marina del Sol
