“Dissapointing”
Reviewed October 10, 2012

Having read the other reviews we decided to save this one for a special occasion, our wedding anniversary,we went in the evening.
For a starter my wife had the Deep Fried Goats Cheese, which turnred out to be almost tasteless with a soggy breadcrumb coating, I had the Carpaccio which was also very bland and came buried in salad leaves.
For her main course my wife chose Sole. This was presented on the bone and no offer was made to remove it for her, it proved to be undercooked and she had great difficulty seperating the flesh from the bone. I had the Prawns in Curry Sauce and was very surprised to find that the 'Celebrated Chef' found it necessary to use packet ingredients to make the Curry Sauce.
The evenings only saving grace was the Pinot Grigio, very nice.
Along with two coffee's and two Brandies this meal cost in excess of 65 euro, very poor value for money.

“Best value in Mojacar”
Reviewed October 4, 2012

Love this petite restaurant tucked nicely under the mountains! Ate here four times already as the food quality is top notch under the careful eye of Chef Simon, all. the pastas all home made and so perfectly cooked , my personnel favorite being the Cannelloni and Raviolis stuffed with pears and Gorgonzola cheese.Desserts were so delicious a light pastry created into a lemon mreiunge pie and a spot on Chocolate souffle. Will be going back for sure!

“Supurb Osteria in a Magical Place”
Reviewed September 15, 2012

Chef Simon, of Osteria Mojacar presents you a special and exceptional experience.
The Menus, a la Carte or Menu del Dia, off you a wide variety of tasty, and beautifully presented dishes. The Menu del Dia is one of the best values in the area around Mojacar. Delicious soups, salads, and choice of entree's. Simon's postres (desserts) range from fresh fruit, flan, and super cakes and tarts.
The a la Carte Menu offers a large range of starters, salads, pastas, fish, meat and and the BEST pizza to be found. Along with perfect choices for the end of your meal. Portions are generous without being "over-whelming". An excellent wine list tops off your lunch or dining experience.
The Spanish wait staff are knowledgeable and most helpful. You can sit on the terrace, reservations recommended if you want to sit outside, or choose a table in the charming and comfortable main room. There is a simple bar as well.
Don't miss enjoying Osteria Mojacar for either lunch or dinner!!!!!

“The best in Mojacar”
Reviewed September 15, 2012

We have had a house near mojacar for almost 10 years. We have been told about the Osteria about 6 years ago and we have been going there ever since. Good value for money. The food is always wonderful. If you want something special just ask and Simon the chef cook will be happy to make it for you. Great Great Great. You will not regret the experience. Michael & Peter
