Not Italian gourmet food by any means , but consistent quality and friendly service . The little terrace is very pleasant and indoors is always spotless .
There are excellent value for money 'menus of the day' outside of August .
Mojacar can be very disappointing for decent food but Osteria seems to produce the goods whatever the circumstances.
In the quest for value the owner seems to have abandoned his promise of seasonally changing menus and regular diners find it hard to be surprised, pity because tecnically astute cooking like this could be so much more interesting.
