We stayed in this hotel for 3 nights in the end of August 2016. As we both haven't been in Suzdal before can't compare the hotel with other ones in town but definitely it's a quality european style modern hotel. The hotel is located in the middle of the central street in a very short walking distance to all the places of interest. The hotel itself is a brand new so everything is fresh and clean. The rooms are spacious enough and quite if windows are closed. And yes it's important to keep your windows closed especially on the weekend if you don't want to be waken up with the church bells ringing :) In the bathroom you have everything you might need as well as slippers and bathrobes, which is always a nice touch. The staff is very friendly and helpfull. Big thanks to Aleksey from the lobby bar. The only complaint would be that lobby bar works from 11a.m. so you have to go out somewhere in search for coffee.
Would highly recommend this hotel to stay in Suzdal to anyone.

The Veliy Hotel was a good surprise: we got a large, clean room in an excellent location, and were met by a friendly team that helped us with transportation back to Vladimir.

The hotel is hard to find if you are not familiar with Russian addresses. Once you get to number 82 you see a restaurant and some shops, but no indication of the hotel. The reason is that it is located in the back.

Breakfast is delicious but depending on the number of guests it may be served in the basement, in very small rooms - I felt quite bad in a room filled with tables and chairs with little room left for circulation.

This place pays attention to detail. We were very impressed at the fact that they seriously took the time to find out how we felt about the hotel. The bathroom was practical [though I did mention they should put a spare toilet paper in each room].
