we spend 1 night in Suzdal during our vacation, and were rather satisfied with what we got in Alexeevskaya Usadba. Room was large and spacious, wooden walls added to feeling of "ancient russian" that we looked for. It takes about 15 mins to walk to the city center - the Trade Galleries (Ryady) & the Kremlin, and the walk is lovely itself. Drivers will found convenient parking place. However, our taxi driver was rather confused with the address, and the street light was shining right in our eyes as curtains were thin. Breakfast wasn't very impressive (during summer I'd expected at least some fruit), but was ok.

Our accomodation in a quaint, clean wooden cabin was very charming. Breakfast was oK. This place is very peaceful. In the evenings you can hear the frogs quacking. Susdal overall is a lovely, enchanted place and well worth a visit.

This hotel was overall a pleasant surprise. Have traveled a little bit in Europe, I have to expect tight spaces, cramped bathrooms, and hot, humid rooms because air conditioning is not an afterthought, it's not a thought at all. At Alekseevskaya Usadba, the rooms are large, there's plenty of space in the bathroom, and there is an air conditioning unit in the room and it works. The rooms have a wardrobe, a table, a TV stand, and a small fridge (very nice to have), too. The rustic decor and the Russian peasant-style exterior add to the experience.

We had a room with two double (small queen?) beds, which were fine for one adult and one child (our third was in a play pen (cot) we brought ourselves). We had plenty of space in the large room for our suitcases and for the kids to relax a little. Everything in the hotel and the room was clean and in great condition. The hotel itself seems pretty new. It's also worth mentioning that there was plenty of parking.

Breakfast was included and was good. The day we were there, we got a meat, cheese, bread, coffee, tea, hard-boiled egg, and oatmeal buffet as well as some scrambled eggs (almost like an omelet) in a dish on our tables. It was simple, but tasted great, was warm, and was filling. While the hotel doesn't provide dinner or have a restaurant, you're pretty close to the center (use Yandex.ru's maps to locate the place since Google Maps doesn't have the street in their system) — you could probably even walk it if you wanted to — and for the real emergencies, there's a convenience store across the street from the hotel.

We had a mix-up involving our reservation (we booked through Booking.com), but the receptionist was able to take care of that and resolve everything to our satisfaction. We thought all interactions with the staff were fine.

The only reason I hesitate to give Alexeevskaya Usadba a 5-star rating is tht the child policy is rather disappointing. They charge you 500 extra rubles for having a child under two and 1,000 extra rubles for having a child over 2 with you, even if you're using the existing bedding. That is quite steep. (It may be worth it if you're traveling as a family to just reserve a larger room.)

Overall, we enjoyed our stay there and would recommend it to most travelers.

Room Tip: They're probably all fine, but second-storey rooms are almost always quieter than ground-floor r...

Great place to stay, a cozy wooden house with a nice, warm and clean room. Breakfast is delicious (typical Russian blini, your choice of coffee or tea, a basket of bread, warm oatmeal). It may be tricky to find, but it is walking distance to many churches and monasteries in beautiful Suzdal. Friendly staff (however, they DO NOT speak English). There is no service in the dining room at night, but you can order dinner delivery and it arrives really fast.

Room Tip: The whole place is very quiet. The double superior room is very good.
