Clean & modern. Reception friendly and spoke some English. Quiet. Large bedroom (we had a junior suite). The bathroom was large - though more functional than attractive.
The hotel is located on the opposite side of the river to the main part of town, but Suzdal is quite small and there is a footbridge close by, so that wouldn't matter unless you had serious mobility problems.
The restaurant decor is charmingly rustic, the food good and reasonably priced (I had mushroom soup followed by turkey medallions and a beer for 1000 roubles). Breakfast was very Russian and not to my taste (fried cottage cheese fritters were the centre piece) - but there was plenty of it and it was filling.
Cons: No wifi. Gauzy curtains let in far too much light in the morning. Standing in the bathtub to take a shower
