“Best port in Portugal!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed July 6, 2013

We just returned from Portugal and tasted a lot of port. Graham's by far had the best port! We also enjoyed the information given on the tour. They have a beautiful spot sitting on top of a hill overlooking the city and the Douro River. Our favorite was the 20, 30 & 40 year old Tawny...you won't be disappointed.

“Probably the best port wine tasting I Porto”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed July 1, 2013

We were a group of 20 persons who got an interesting view and information about the history and how port is made and bottled. We then had lunch in their restaurant which can be highly recommended with a marvelous view of the old part of Porto and the river Porto

“Best Port Tasting in Porto”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed June 25, 2013

We were advised that Graham's was one of the best places to taste Port by our hotel concierge, that actually worked there, and he was right! Beautiful restaurant for dinner (excellent views and nice patio) as well as a modern bar, knowledgeable friendly staff and great port. We did one of the more expensive tastings and well worth it. Brought into a separate room and were given a wealth of information. We would highly recommend.

“A very nice experience”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed June 25, 2013

We decided to climb the hill to Graham's Lodge, rather than waiting for the shuttle bus from the river Douro, in the centre. Although we got lost a couple of times, once we reached the Lodge, it was well worth the walk. The building has just re-opened in March 2013, after undergoing a renovation program. The entrance is beautiful, with lovely wooden floors and a nice exhibition of Graham's Porto artefacts, including thank you letters from the British Queen and Barack Obama for gifts of Port wine as well as an invoce to Winston Churchill who seemed a regular customer of Graham's Port. The visit of the cellar is also nice, with a very nice Russian tour-guide whose lively style makes it more fun. The best part is, of course, the tasting, which is not free, though, and you can choose between different qualities of Port wine you want to saviour. With my partner we chose two different kinds of tasting session, thereby enabling us to try six different Port wines.

“Great vintage tasting room and staff!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed June 22, 2013

We read in the lonely planet that Grahams was worth the visit. From below in ribeira, porto, we saw the beautiful location and decided to visit. Road works were blocking the more easy and quick hike up the hill we soon discovered but even the detour was easily forgotten when we had the excellent tour in our small English group. Grahams staff is very attentive and passionate about the vintages we tasted. We opted for the more expensive vintage tasting in the private tasting room. If you can afford it, do not hesitate and do the same. It resulted in buying an excellent vintage quinta do vesuvius, one of the family brands and purely traditional. We look forward to enjoying it!
