A great trip in the story end the taste of Porto. Nice the dress of the guide. Really interesting news about Porto wine, its production and distinctive types.

Looked like the place to have a sit down for a drink and something to eat lots of tables and many people seated already. Worst waiter ever. He came to the table asking for order without having brought is food or drinks menu, had to retrieve menu one for the table. Drinks came in different stages. Food was a long time coming, it was ok as bar food goes. Trying to get the check took 30 minutes and another very nice server to settle it for us. I would not recommend.

I took the 1/2 hour tour (5 euros). This was the perfect timeframe for me. I am not a wine connoisseur, but was happy to get educated in this 'crash course.' I learned a lot about the whole port wine making process as well as an interesting history of Sandeman. The wine tasting (tawny and sherry) at the end of the tour (in a most sublime setting) was fantastic.

We attended the Sandeman cellars as a pre-wedding outing with a group of around 30 people, we thoroughly enjoyed the experience and seeing first hand how port is made. Was in awe at the oldest vintage port bottle being from 1904!! My children were well impressed!
The tasting of the white and tawny port was a cherry on the cake. We had to purchase a bottle to bring back home with us. Thanks Sandeman you sure know how to make a great port!

We loved this tour of the Sandemann port cellars in Porto. The tour guide gave a great history of both Sandemann and the history of the Port business in the area. Followed by a tasting of one up to several varietals. Met some nice people and toured a beautiful and interesting building. Easy to walk to. No pressure to buy.
